Big news (pg13)

Loika took the girls into the city for the day. Shopping for new clothes, she took the girls to build a bear, and to the park. They finally took a break and stopped for lunch. She let Peter know where they were going for lunch and texted Kas and Eve to let them know they could meet them as well. She and Peter had alot of things to tell the girls. Alot of changes were going to be happening and they were all good.

Enjoying his peace and quiet, Peter was comfortably perched on a chair with his feet kicked up on top of another chair. Music softly played in the backround and window was open to let the fresh air in a room. Life couldn't be any better than what it was now. Then, Peter's phone rang out and he looked at it lazily. It was a message from Loika. "Meet you at the Square." said Peter out loud to himself. The next moment he was there. No questions asked. Just there. He looked around and spotted Loika. "HEY!" he was so excited to see Loika.

Loika threw her arms around his neck and gave him a big kiss when Peter showed up. Poor Mackenzie was doomed to have PDA parents for the rest of her life. Loika released Peter and gave him a tired smile. One of her few days off and she spent it carting the girls around the city. She smiled up at him but still looked nervous. " So, you ready to tell them?"

It was uncomfortable and warmer than she would have liked, but Katt was thankful to be able to go somewhere with her small 'pack'. The girl wore a long-sleeved hoodie and sweatpants loose enough that her tail could be tucked inside them. With the help of a little make-up to cover her spots, the girl simply looked like she was very fair-skinned and afraid of sunburn.
Katt's attention had been occupied with her food. The feline girl shared in Loika's not being a fan of prepared food, but she would at least eat what was in front of her; cooked or not. Her first time trying some french fries wasn't going so badly.. at least, until the man she'd heard Kas refer to as 'millimeter Peter' appeared out of nowhere. She'd never get used to that!
Katt looked over to Mackenzie, making a face as the younger girl's parents were hugging and kissing. She grinned and picked up a fry, tossing it at the adults and turning her back and playing innocent before either of them glanced to see where that had come from.

Mackenzie knew something was up. It frustrated her because she knew her mom was keeping a secret but her mom was one of the few people whos' mind she couldnt read. Daddy showing up at lunch only helped confirm her suspicions.

She was distracted with her own thoughts and barely registered Katt's until she got hit in the head by a stray french fry. She shook off the odd feeling and made a face when she realized her parents were making out. " Heeey Katt! Daddy is here. I bet something is up. What do you think?"

Loika felt the french fry hit her and giggled. She kissed Peter one more time before looking back at the girls. " Well now if you two little monkeys are done throwing food. We have some very important things to tell both of you." She was barely able to contain her smiles at all. Alot of things were gunna change now.

Peter looked at where the french fry came from, but knew better then to yell in public, he'll just do that back at home. Pulling away from Loika's kiss, Peter starred blankly at them as he took a seat and folded his arms, looking at Katt and Mackie. "We are getting married," said Peter with normal voice and nothing special. "And you Katt, is getting adopted by us. If you'd like you can part of the family." Not sure how both of them going to take it, Peter teleported to stand next to Loika.

Loika wrapped her arm around peter and held her breath as she laid her head on him. Sure she was excited and really happy... but would the girls feel the same way. Mackie was constantly surprising with her moods and Katt pretty much followed whatever Mackie's lead was. If it was this hard to tell the kids, how would she tell Jason and Sara?

Mackenzie dropped the french fry she was starting to put in her mouth. She expected something big but not this. She looked from Katt to her parents. Would Katt really be her sister? Would her parents really stop fighting long enough to get married? " Daddy, are you messing with us right now?" She knew daddy could be a real prankster.

The little girl turned half-feline had stuggled inwardly for some time over the issue of her parents.
Who were they? Where were they? Why did they leave her at that testing facility?
The soon-to-be Jacksons were very kind, and never treated her as though she wasn't one of their own.
Though it was something special to hear they really wanted her to become a piece of the family, for keeps.

"Mom, Dad, and sister." She looked to each, trying and failing to keep a few tears from escaping those big golden eyes. Her make-up began to run off, exposing a few of her patterned spots and making the child almost look like emo immitator of the Crow.

"I love you!"
Katt cried out, thowing her arms around the nearest 'victim', little sister Mackenzie, and nearly squishing the life out of her. She even managed to put the proper pronoun on the sentance, instead of referring to herself in third-person.

Peter chuckled slightly as he looked at Mackie with loving eyes. "No, not in a slightest. Sure, you've seen us fight and all, but we always loved each other regardless of the fights." said Peter, smiling. The expression on Katt's face was priceless. It was a beautiful sight. Nothing was worth more then watch Katt's happiness and then she hugged Mackie. Peter turned to Loika, with nothing to say but just smiling.

Mackenzie let out a squeak as her big sister surprise hugged her. Her happy emotions were practically pouring out of her. Mackie hugged her back and made dramatic gasping sounds though she wasnt really in any danger. " K-katt! Mackie needs aaaaiiiir!" She giggled then looked over at her parents. " You're getting married too? do me and Katt get to be in the wedding? will there be a ceremony? Wheres it going to be at? Does aunty Lakai get to be in it too?" Mackenzie spoke at a million miles an hour. Something the child didnt normally do.

Loika smiled back at Peter and nuzzled his chest. She was happy the girls took it so well. Especially Katt. She was a little worried she wouldnt take it so well. She considered the girl another daughter. She hugged a little tighter and giggled when Mackie suddenly turned into a question cannon.
