Many years ago Xavier's school for gifted mutants was attacked. It was left in ruin. Teachers and students abandoned it with no hope of returning to it for sanctuary...

Years later a professor named Jason Andrews returned life to the school's halls and rebuilt its walls. Students have once again come to learn at the school in safety.

Many other mutants aren't quite so lucky. Some still remain hidden in the shadows and some within factions like the brotherhood are left leaderless.

Deadpool dropped his new kill into the sewer pipe and smirked at the splash the body made in the water.  He was dressed in his usual body suit, mask and all.  He'd been assigned to kill this guy on the presumption that he was a rapist and murderer.  Of course, Wade was happy to take care of another scumbag.  He'd recently allied himself with the X-men, but in reality, he still played for his own team.  He fought for himself; trusted no one.  First and foremost he protected himself.  The X-men let him do his own thing; calling him in when they really needed him.  His skill-set had proved useful to them.  Killing was somewhat of an easy-task for him at this point in his life.  A flick of his wrist or his sword, and they were dead. He was deadly.  There was a reason he called himself Deadpool.

Deadpool set the metal grate back over the sewer opening and stuck to the walls, where the shadows protected him.  No one would bother him tonight. There was a dead calm across the city.

Being a vigilante wasn't a rewarding job, but at least it kept her busy for the time. Rachel enjoyed beating up those who pried on weaker. She liked to strike fear into criminals, it was one of the things she actually enjoyed about being Nightwisp. Riding on Cobra, Rachel spotted something in the darkness, not sure she decided to stop and check it out. How much damage can they possibly do to her. They were just humans after all.

Leaving her engine on, Rachel threw her leg over the bike and stepped onto the ground, slowly making her way into the darkness. She tried to walk as quietly as possible to get a jump on her victim. Suddenly, she came across something solid, yet human. Pulling out her chakram, in a flash, she placed the razor sharp object to whoever's neck was in place. "Who are you?" asked Rachel, almost growling. "And what are you doing here?"

Wade smirked. As soon as the woman placed her blade against his throat, he flipped his sword in his hand so it was just barely pressing into her gut. "I'd check your surroundings before you start interrogating me." Wade pressed the blade harder against her stomach, not hard enough to pierce the skin but enough to make sure she knows it's there. "But hey, I'll play nice. I'm Deadpool, and I'm here doing my job." Wilson was just doing his job, taking another scumbag off the streets. The man he'd just killed was famed for his forced prostitution ring. He'd enslaved far too many young girls, but that was over now. Wade had freed them and one less rapist was on the streets.

Not many humans carried weapons with them, in fact she hasn't seen none at all. Whoever was standing in the darkness just spoke to her and she knew right away it was mutant, unless it was a human doing illegal stuff in the dark, underneath the city. In which case, Rachel highly doubted it. She frowned upon his statement, then pulled out a circular device from her chest pocket and threw it. After three seconds it exploded in a bright light. Rachel then, saw man's face with a blade to her stomach. "Well, what do you know..I am in the sewer." said Rachel looking at the man.

"I am Nightwisp,"
replied Rachel relaxing her muscle a little. "Killing people, ain't my style no more. I prefer scare them into submission. Are you a mutant?"

Wade sheathed his blades and turned to face her. "Yes ma'am." Wade shrugged. "Unfortunately rapists and prostitution ring leaders don't respond well to threats. Sometimes death is the only option". Wade discretely sweeped his gaze over her. Well damn. She was hot; the skintight clothes weren't helping his focus, not that she could tell. She was pretty; that much was clear. She could handle herself in a fight. Good. "I'm guessing you're a mutant. What's your mutation, Nightwisp?" Wade pressed a button on his wisp and his bodysuit changed into a smart-casual suit. His face was now fully visible. He has business to take care of elsewhere. The girl was welcome to come; he could use a date. It would help his mission go a lot more smoothly.

"I don't kill anymore, not even worst of the worst. I have enough innocent blood on my hands." said Rachel as she pulled her chakram away from the man's neck and placed it on her belt where it usually hung. Rachel looked over the man, noticing his handsome features. She might just break her own rule about not falling in love with anyone.

"I am a mutant," said Rachel as she shifted into another outfit, still keeping her mask. Trust were still big paying piece on the board and she couldn't just give it up that easy. She knew nothing about that man, not where he came from, what he does, none of that. "So, where are you headed now?" asked Rachel.

Wade shook his head and put a hand in his pocket. "Another job. More or less acquiring intel, not so much killing. Kind of a Robin Hood deal. Taking a bit from the rich so the less fortunate can thrive. No killing this time." A small smirk graced his lips. He was captivated by her. Wade never trusted anyone, but he might make an acception. He didn't do relationships, friends, nothing, but he might find himself falling in love without realizing it. He paused. "I'm usually not this forward, but considering that helping those in need is a mutual interest of ours-would you care to join me? This crowd isn't fond of single men." He offered a small smile and arched an eyebrow.

"Excellent," said Rachel commenting on his new direction and mission. "I'll be right behind you." pushing a button on her watch, Cobra rolled up to her and Rachel took a seat, reeving up her engine. "I'd give you a lift, but I am certain you have some high tech technology of your own," she smiled. Then, she took off down the sewer, water splashing everywhere. As Rachel left Deadpool behind, she knew he wasn't going to be too far behind her now. It was only matter of time before he caught up to her.

Driving at high speed, Rachel was approaching the end of the tunnel and needed to find a way out. That's when the idea hit her. She opened fire on walls and they soon collapsed making a ramp for her. Driving up the ramp, Rachel went airborne as she began to descend now, hitting the ground hard. Rachel skidded to a halt. Now, to wait for the man.

Wade smirked and simply shook his head. He walked a couple meters to his motorcycle and pressed a button on the handle. He started up the Ducati and within seconds had teleported to Nightwisp's location. One of the perks of Wade's technology, teleportation. Granted, he didn't like to use it a lot. He preferred actually riding his motorcycle and hopping across rooftops, but hey-sometimes teleportation was the way to go. He smirked as he met Nightwisp's gaze. He revved his engine. "Might be wise to actually have names in there. Somehow I doubt that Deadpool and Nightwisp are acceptable. I'm Wade Wilson." He didn't need an alias for this mission, and he didn't see any reason to hide his identity from her. Might as well be honest.

Rachel had not interest of giving out her real name, because she has yet to trust this man. She knew his types very well, just like the man who manipulated Rachel into killing her parents. They all looked innocent and loving at first, but come too close and you'll be a pray. She was not that stupid as to thrust her life into someone so fast and so easily. "Whoa, whoa, cowboy...not so fast," said Rachel. "I know nothing about you yet, hell...we just met few minutes ago. And you want me to give you my name? Sorry, I think I'll just hold on to that for now."

Rachel didn't meant to come across as mean or snappy. She was just being cautious. Nothing like get destroyed by a person she barely knew. "For now, just lead the way." she said, pulling up her leg onto her bike.

Wade simply nodded. He understood that much, but she still needed a name. Katherine Rachel Pierce it is. he revved his engine and pulled his legs up onto his bike before twisting the throttle. Wade guided his bike through the streets, twists and turns before skidding to a stop on the street corner. He swung his leg over the bike and stood on the sidewalk. He made sure his Katanas weren't visible on his back before starting to fix his collar. Game time.

After Wade took off in at crazy speed down the streets of New York, Rachel quickly followed him. Deep inside she thought she sounded mean to him when he asked her for a name. But in her mind, Rachel was just being protective of herself and people she knew. Which weren't many of them, but few Rachel cared for deeply. No one is going to come between her and those folks.

Rachel was zipping through streets at night as she ran red lights, her mask protected her from people seeing her face and recognizing her. Only few people in New York knew who Nightwisp really was. Wade didn't say anything to her before he left, was his feelings hurt when she so instantly shut him down. When Rachel came to a stop at the place where Wade was, she looked at him.

"Hey listen, Wade," said Rachel as she got off her bike. "I am sorry if I hurt your feelings by not telling you my name, but I can't have people know who I am. Besides, as you can tell I have trust issues with some of those people." Rachel pulled out her chakram as she looked at herself in the reflection. "I'll tell you what...if we get out of here alive, I'll tell you my name." said Rachel.

She knew they were going to get out alive, either way. She just didn't think she was going to hurt the man's feeling so soon. He seemed like the type who can take even the worst of the worst news, but she guessed wrong. "Well, lead the way again." said Rachel looking at the door.

OOC: I pm'd you but I guess you didn't get it so here.

Hey in our thread, I just forgot to put it in quotes. Wade did speak. He said "Katherine Rachel pierce it is". He gave her a name so he had something less conspicuous to call her in the party. Sorry!

He wasn't offended; he kept going with his business :) If you wanted her to misinterpret that's fine; I'm just clarifying.
If you meant to do that let me know and I'll post

Wade stifled a laugh. Hurt his feelings? It would take a lot more than that to hurt his feelings. In fact, Wade wasn't sure it was possible to hurt his feelings. Frankly, he didn't want to find out. He took her arm and looped it through his right before resting his left hand on top of the hand that now rested in the crook of his arm. "It would take a great deal more to hurt my feelings, hon. I have thick skin. Literally, but I will take you up on that offer." Wade glanced at their now joined arms and back at Nightwisp. "Sorry, but unfortunately you're going to have to pretend to like me in there. I prefer my covers to be at least half-way realistic." He winked and started to lead the way as they walked towards the main door. Once they were inside, he did his job and shook hands with the right people.

He'd spent a while developing his "Ryan Woods" persona. As far as this crowd would ever know, Wade was a wealthy young entrepreneur who made his money as an arms dealer. He made his way through the crowd, offering smiles at the right times, all the while keeping Nightwisp on his arm. He stopped next to a pillar and leaned in next to her ear. He spoke softly though it was intended to be heard by others. "I'll be back in a few minutes, sweetheart. I'm going to go get some drinks. Why don't you meet me on the other side of the room, alright?" He brushes his lips over her cheek before making his way to the bar. He grabbed a scotch and a cognac for her before making his way towards the corner, though he gradually adjusted his trajectory so that he'd "accidentally' collide with Mr. Charles. As he planned, his shoulder collided with the older gentleman and his scotch spilled over the man's shirt. Wade appeared flustered. "Sir, I apologize; I'm so sorry, my mistake. I'm seeing that new girl, over there and I'm a bit flustered, to say the least. She's captivated me, sir. I apologize, truly." Wade gestured to the corner where Nightwisp couldn't be seen but he could've been referring to any girl in the room. He gently palmed the man's shoulder and leant forward to speak in his ear, slyly sticking a mic and tracker onto the inside of one of the man's belt-loops. "Young love and all, sir. I'm sure you understand." The man offered a nervous nod before swiftly making his way up the staircase, having broke out in a sweat.

Wade turned away, a satisfied smirk on his lips once again. He made his way to the corner and saw Nightwisp in the shadows. He gestured towards the bathroom, an unspoken cue he hoped she caught onto. They would take on the facade of a happy, drunken couple making their merry way to the bathroom to hook up. No, Wade just wanted to listen in on whatever conversation Charles was having. Wade arched an expectant eyebrow at the woman he'd met earlier, hoping she was at the caliber he'd anticipated her to be.

Rachel looked at Wade as he took her arm and placed it under his. She managed a small smile. "Well, then...my good lad, we shall enjoy ourselves tonight." said Rachel as she shifted from her Nightwisp outfit to something more subtle and party appropriate. Rachel was good at making up second persona to cover herself up. Tonight she was Kathrine Pierce. Not something she would pick for her name, seeing how in a past she has used name Amy. But tonight was different.

She walked into the party and instantly changed her mood, being happy and care free, enjoying her life to the fullest. But deep inside she knew these people were rich folks who could afford all this and so much more. Rachel wished she could crush this party, but unfortunately, she was on a mission. WHich seemed to be pretty important to Wade.

Rachel shook hands and smiled at complete strangers, nothing scared anymore. These people were weak and Rachel could easily obliterate them all. When Wade leaned in to whisper into her ear, Rachel gigled as if Wade was telling her something funny. Later, he went off to meet other people, while Rachel was left to stand on her own. She didn't mind though, she could totally handle herself in those kind of situations.

Looking around, Rachel departed from the crown and auspiciously made her way to meet wade by the bathroom. She knew he wanted something from her, but in the bathroom. It was different story then. Without another word, Rachel pushed the door open to the bathroom, acting and gigling like a drunk person.

"Now what?"

Wade glanced around the bathroom, making sure it was empty before locking it behind him. His demeanor changed instantly from the flirty millionaire to his usual self. He took out his cellphone and set it on the sink. He flipped a few screens until he reached a GPS screen. As suspected, Charles was now upstairs in the main office. "Well, that's my guy." Wade turned up the volume and listened in on the conversation. Charles spoke of his concern about bumping into a young billionaire. Wade shook his head. Idiot. He thought to himself, didn't feel me slip the tracker at all. Soon, the conversation changed to talk of arms sails and hit men. "Yep, definitely him." Wade pressed a button on his watch and his business suit changed to his usual 'uniform' that he'd adopted, his red and black suit. He flipped down his mask and looked at Nightwisp. He jumped onto the sink and pushed open the air vent. "Coming?" He asked and without a single glance back he pulled himself up into the air-vent. He crawled along before reaching the right hole in the vent. He looked down and saw the men below him. He waited for Nightwisp to get there, if she was.

"I don't see why we can't just bust in there, kick some ass, grab the dude and bail..." said Rachel as she pulled herself up to the vent. "it would be so much easier." She shifted  back to her all-black outfit along with her mask on her face. Rachel figured if she could hide from people, what stopped the criminals hiding from her.

Rachel saw what Wade saw at the bottom of the vent. She looked at him and smirked playfully. This was far bellow her status to just sneak up on people. "If that's your guy, let's grab him than." said Rachel, as she stomped on the vent and fell through to the ground, landing on her knee.
