Current plot
Many years ago Xavier's school for gifted mutants was attacked. It was left in ruin. Teachers and students abandoned it with no hope of returning to it for sanctuary...

Years later a professor named Jason Andrews returned life to the school's halls and rebuilt its walls. Students have once again come to learn at the school in safety.

Many other mutants aren't quite so lucky. Some still remain hidden in the shadows and some within factions like the brotherhood are left leaderless.

PostSubject: A vulnerable man is a happy man.(NC-17)   Mon Aug 05, 2013 11:51 am

As Bradley entered the diner, the smell was instantly recognizable. He had been here many times during his contract assassin days, he enjoyed the peacefulness, the food, and to feel like he fit in somewhere.
He walked over to the counter and motioned to Mel, the owner. Mel approached the counter to take Bradley's order.
"What'll it be?" Mel asked.
"One custard tart and a flat white. Hot." Bradley responded, glaring at Mel through his glasses.
"Take a seat, it'll be ready soon" Said Mel, walking back into the kitchen area briefly.
Bradley looked around the diner, it was busy, really busy. He walked over to the furthest booth in an attempt to distance himself from the racket of people going about their daily business. As he approached it he noticed a girl sleeping on one side of the booth lounge.
She was in her 20's, blonde, a beautiful girl. But Bradley had given up on girls upon becoming an assassin.
He sat down on the opposite couch, placed his laptop on the table and glanced over to her.
"Anyone sitting here?" He asked jokingly. "Oh, nevermind, you don't seem to care" He said to himself with a chuckle.
"Actually, I DO mind" Replied the girl.
"Your not asleep?" Bradley replied, astonished.
"Well....I WAS asleep." she yawned, sitting up and facing him.
Bradley calmly patted himself down, without raising the girls attention, he always made sure he had a weapon, always. However in this instance he only carried 7 throwing knives tied to his legs and of course his .45cal polished handgun "Justice". He felt somewhat vulnerable, if this girl was a mutant, things could get messy.
"I apologise for waking you, I thought I was being so quiet..." Bradley joked.
The girl looked him up and down.
"You look fancy, you CIA or something?" She queried.
"I just like the suit." he replied as he opened his laptop.
The girl slid over to his side of the couch, basically touching him. "Whatcha doing?" she asked.
"Nothing!" Bradley said, shoving her off. As he did so, she noticed his gun in it's holster.
"Hey" she said as she got closer to him and wrapped one hand around him and placed the other near his crotch. "Not so rough"
"What the fuck do you think you're doing?" He whispered into her ear, it had been a while since he felt the touch of a woman. She slid her hand over his crotch and quickly snatch his gun from it's holster and held it between her legs.
"Just watch....." she whispered.
Bradley struggled to not draw attention to himself, he grabbed her arm that was around his shoulder and turned to face her. He looked into her smiling face, and then down to the gun. It slowly turned a dull gray and as the girl clenched her hand it turned into grey dust, falling to the floor along with the bullets that were in it.
"What?!" He loudly whispered as he looked into her eyes. "You're?"
"Yep, isn't it cool? I've been dying to show someone!" she eagerly said.
Mel came over to the table and delivered his snack and coffee, giving a particularly interesting look at Bradley and then at his new friend.
So there Bradley sat, at the back of a packed diner, with a mutie right next to him. He has seven throwing knives taped to his legs as his only weapon.
Great, Just great... He thought to himself.

Loika patted Mel on the arm. He was an old man. He shouldnt be working in the Diner. Stupid ass waitress called off again. He should fire her. But Mel was a sweet old man. " Take a breather Mel. I'll take him his drink." she said and walked off with the drink to the man's table.

As she sat down the drink she smelled some interesting smells on the man. Gunpowder.... sweat... death. The girl smelled interesting as well. Definately not human. She raised an eyebrow at them. " Whatever you two are planning. Take it outside. This is a respectable establishment." Her already brilliant blue eyes glowed and she growled at them. Her canines were naturally longer than the average human, so the effect was scary to some.

Rachel walked into the diner, dressed like a normal citizen. No mask, no Chakram, no guns, nothing. Just a little handbag with some money in it. She looked around the diner and then took her approach toward the man in a suit. Just the man she was looking for. She had a deal to make with one of them. The humans.

Without an invitation, she took a seat across the man and a girl, whom Rachel has never seen before. Smiling at the man, she folded her arms on a table, leaning in closer. "I have been dying to meet one of your kind. I mean, you and your organization." said Rachel, implying M.R.D's job. "I know you are looking for people like this girl next to you. I have a deal, one you will not want to pass up easily."

Luka pushed through the kitchen doors of the diner with hiss busboy outfit on. He reach his customers table and sat the food down. "Okay. So a sprite for the young man. A Dr. Pepper for the little lady and for the parents, a glass of water with a fresh slice of lemon. Now are you ready to order your meal?" The nodded and ordered and Luka wrote it down on his little notepad. "Thank you and I'll be back." He said as he walked over to the kitchen when a lady walked in who look familiar. "Welcome to Mel's Diner, just take a seat and ill be with you." He said but she wasn't ordering. She went to a table that was leveling in members. He assumed it was a party until the woman said "people like her" he was curious and walked to the kitchen and put the order on the rack. He then walked over to the table with a warm smile "Hello! Welcome to Mel's diner, do you already have a waiter or no?" He knew that Mel, the owner already helped the young man who started the mini party but he just wanted a closer listen on their conversation.

Bradley picked up his drink and took a sip, testing it. Then sat it down on the table. A bead of sweat ran down his face. He looked to the right at the girl who had disintegrated his gun, she responded with a warm, innocent smile. He then looked at the woman who sat opposite him.
"My organization?" Bradley said with a smile. They must think he is M.R.D. this is bad.
"Look here lady, I'm not M.R.D., CIA, or any government associated business. I do work for.....private contractors." Bradley calmly stated.
Bradley's attention then turned to the waiter who stood at the end of the table.
"You, busboy. I asked for a hot coffee, this is lukewarm at best." Bradley smirked, sliding the coffee cup down the table.
"Make a hot one would you?"

Loika rolled her eyes and glared at Luka. " Luka im telling you for the last time. You are a Busboy. You wipe down tables and clear dirty dishes. The waitresses handle the customer orders. I catch you taking my tips im going to kick your ass." She turned him around and pushed him back towards the kitchen. What she said was true but she was also trying to get him away from the table. Things were bad news. Especially with Rachel here. Loika's wolf hearing would make sure she could hear the whole conversation.

Luka smiled when she pushed him back "ill come back when she isnt around" and he went to a table and scrubbed and took the plates off the table he just cleaned. He looked over to their table. He was in the mood for being nosy. So he started cleaning a table near where the people were and scrubbed

As the crowd which had formed around the table dispersed, Bradley started to feel a little more at ease. He stared at the girl who sat across from him, awaiting her response..As he did so, he slowly leaned down, as to not arouse attention, and withdrew a throwing knife from it's leg holster, he held it in his hand under the table in order to hide it from view. If things got ugly, he needed to be prepared.

"If you hunt down mutants, you are an M.R.D in my eyes." said Rachel as she leaned back a bit, still keeping her guard on ready. She assumed nothing good would come from this man. "Here's a deal, pal. You are an assassin...good for you, but the deal is much sweeter then you think."

Keeping an eye on the girl next to him, Rachel reached down deep inside of her and grasped her powers, in case she was going to need to blast anyone away from her. Rachel placed ten grand on the table...all hundreds.  "I need you to eliminate someone. You know...make them disappear" said Rachel. "His name is Shikon Ookami. The leader of a group called Brotherhood, you take him out quietly and I will throw another ten grand in addition." said Rachel.

Her plan was going to work like a charm. He'll never know what hit him.

Luka heard what the girl said. He had heard about that Shikon. He was a powerful mutant. You don't want to do that. Thats setting him up for death. he said non-chalantly. He scrubbed a sticky substance on the leather seating. He wondered what it was. Then he sat down on it. He pulled out his phone as he got a self-alarm. It said that his hours were over. Usually, he would be glad that he was done but he wanted to listen in on their conversation

Loika's wolf hearing heard everything. She was lucky her back was turned to the booth. She almost dropped the coffee pot she was carrying and her hand flew over her mouth. She couldnt believe it. Why would Rachel want Lakai's boyfriend dead. That would destroy Lakai.

She set the coffee pot next to Luka. " Since you feel comfortable there here. i need some air." She wasnt trying to be rude but she sounded a bit snippy. She excused herself and went outside the employee door.

Bradley looked at the money, and then up at the woman. It was obvious she wasn't used to this, no-one in their right mind would make an offer with such financial integrity here. Was she human? Bradley didn't know, he didn't really care she was now a client.
"Before I accept this, I have a question..." Bradley said, now staring at the woman.
"What do you know about him. Anything and everything." Bradley continued.
He wasn't essentially worried, his team and him could kill most anyone. He just needed to know what he was facing in worst case scenario, ontop of that, knowing the powers of the mutant could be an advantage...

The girl next to Bradley sat, staring at the woman as though she was insane. Bradley didn't mind though as it was much quieter. However it gave an eerie mood..

"Like I said, he is a mutant with pyrokinesis powers. However, I do not know the full extent of his powers." said Rachel, "He has a special someone whose name I will not mention because she is no concern of yours. Most likely you will find him at Brotherhood mansion, but I wouldn't try and attacking him there...it's crawling with mutants."

She was not going to tell him everything, but just enough to convince him that she knew little bit about him. "I'd do it myself, but as you can see I am not equipped to handle such matters. Besides, why get my hands dirty when someone who does it for a living can do it." said Rachel, smirking.

Bradley glared at the woman who had made the offer.
"Are you familiar with the terms of hiring an assassin such as myself? I will complete the task in the allotted time for which I will deem necessary. The equipment I use to take the target down has no restrictions correct?" Bradley calmly exclaimed.
"Would you like evidence of the kill? Or simply a notification of death?" Bradley said, smiling.
He looked around at the people who sat at the booth, still a few too many for his comfort.
"And as for the witnesses of the deal, if anything, and I mean ANYTHING goes wrong involving you.....I'll be making a visit."
Bradley had to take these steps, he had always living in relative seclusion, for his own safety and training purposes. But if this mission goes ahead, his team will be pleased to finally have some worthwhile action.

"I am well aware of assassin tools, use whatever force you deem necessary--take as much time as you need, just as long as he is dead." said Rachel. "I think simple death notification will be just fine. I am not into seeing severed heads on plates."

Rachel could have ended Shikon herself, but she didn't want to ruin her reputation. Next she will have to take care of Loika who--no wonder--has overheard some of the things discussed and it simply won't do to have her interfering. As far as assassination of Shikon went, he won't get killed...not if Rachel could help it. She just had to lure the guy into the place and then she could take him out herself.

"Don't worry, there is nothing to worry about...I wouldn't want to jeopardize the death of a man who holds so much power over Brotherhood. He has to die."
