House Warming ( PG 13)

Loika was busy making dinner in the kitchen of she and Peter's new home. It was a simple little cabin in the wilderness near Xavier's but she loved it. She could breathe here. She listened to directions on her tablet while she cooked and tried to keep an ear our for the girls and and for whoever showed up for dinner. The girls were more likely to get into trouble though.

Peter came to kitchen and took a seat at the bar table. He had nothing to do and it was driving him bananas slowly. He had to have something to do. There was always something needed to be done around their new house, but everything seemed so perfect. Peter knew their new life wasn't going to last long before someone tried to invade it and take it apart. It was all too good to be true. Just how long was the matter of time now. He watched as Loika was cooking, very unusual, seeing how she didn't like human food much.

Smiling to himself, Peter teleported behind Loika and wrapped his arms around her waist gently as not to scare her. The last thing he needed was cooking supplies flying at him. He kissed her neck and smiled. "You know, this life we are trying to build so hard...seems to good to be true. Its like I am always waiting for something bad to happen. But I guess I am just being paranoid." said Peter, swaying gently. "What's for dinner and whose coming?"

Loika shivered when she felt Peter touch her. He brought out her animal side... in a good way. She wanted to scold him but she liked it too much. She smirked and leaned back into him a little. " Im glad im not the only one with that thought. I was beginning to think i was paranoid. I invited friends and family. Not sure who all is coming. I thought i would make chicken, rice, and some steamed vegetables." She made a face. " God cooking meat smells HORRIBLE how do you eat this?"

Peter smiled to himself again. He didn't know Loika felt the same way as Peter did. But he could worry about that some other time. "Friends and family?" asked Peter making a puzzled face. "You mean, your friends, right. I don't seem to have any that I care enough about to invite." Peter kissed Loika as he looked at the meat she cooked.

"God cooking meat smells HORRIBLE how do you eat this?" said Loika, but all Peter did was to chuckle at her. "I could ask you the same question, how do you eat raw meat? Sounds all bloody and gross. And there are guts spilled on the ground. However, it's quiet simple to eat cooked meat. All you do is use a steak knife and a fork...you cut it into small pieces and just chew." said Peter, being a smart ass. "Does that answer your question?"

Loika got a little excited when Peter described how she ate her own food. Her eyes lightly glowed and she looked away in emberassment. " Stop that. You are making me hungry.I invited mostly people from the school. I may have invited Lakai too..." Before he could argue with that she put her hand over his mouth and kissed his forehead.

Lakai walked in through the open front door with a smart alec smirk on her face. " Awww cmon guys in the kitchen? Ugh do i even want to eat anything in here? Im sure it has yo baby juices in it. Nasty." She plopped a premade pie on the counter. Obviously store bought. " You didnt say if you needed anything so i brought desert. Hello future brother in law."

Peter let go of Loika as he turned around to only Lakai strolling into the kitchen. "Don't mind her, hon' she's just jealous." said Peter as he walked up to the counter on the other side and looked at the pie and then up at Lakai. "Have you and Shikon tried it..." he smiled. "I mean the whole baby juices thing, it's quiet the ride. But the way you make it sound, is really disgusting." Peter chuckled as he joked. "How are you, Lakai?"

Lakai shrugged. " I barely see shikon anymore. Even if i did. No kids for me. Nooooo way. I like my life and my body the way it is." She started to pull a pack of cigarettes from her pocket and realized that it probably wasnt a good idea with the new house and all. She sighed and put them away.

Loika took the pie Lakai brought and set it in the fridge. She playfully pinched Peter's butt as she walked by. " Play nice you too. Or ill have to put you in time out later peter." She said and gave him a flirtacious look. It was an innocent smile while she coyly bit her lip. She knew it drove him crazy.

Sara walked in and looked around in awe. Loika and Peter's new place was perfect for them. " Wow you guys it looks amazing. I love it. I hope i'm not early." She carried a small gift basket of stuff for their new house. She set it on the counter and gave Lakai a little hug. " How you doin kiddo?"

Logan looked at the house from the woods. The kid made something for herself. Maybe she would be okay after all. He walked up to the house. He could already hear people in the house. He chuckled at the playful banter between the sisters.

He walked in and set a bottle of Jack Daniel's on the table. " Only seemed fitting after our first meeting kid." He nodded to Mrs Andrews. " Hello Sara. Leave the husband in his cage tonight?"

Seems the party was going to be in a full swing and Peter was getting excited. Nothing he couldn't handle. Peter jumped a bit when Loika pinched his butt. He looked at her and smiled, knowing he couldn't return the favor. At least not now. Then, Sara and Logan walked in. "Welcome Mrs. Andrews and Mr. Howlett, it's so great you could make it. Can I get you anything to drink?" asked Peter. Remembering he set the cooler outside in a back patio for whatever dumb reason.

Logan raised an eyebrow and chuckled. " Just logan is fine. Mr Howlett makes me feel old. I'll take a beer if you have one." He didnt normally joke but tonight was a good night. For once no one was dying or running for their lives. It was nice. It was the closest thing to a family get together he had ever experience. Speaking of family, he looked around. " You get rid of the rugrats? It's aweful quiet in here."

"RATS!? Where rats?!"
Something squealed from the direction of the girls' bedroom.
Katt emerged from the hallway probably the most presentably dressed she ever had or would be in her lifetime.
Her long dark hair was in many tiny braids, each interwoven with strands of ribbons in summery colors. A short, orange sundress with a pair of pale yellow capri shorts really brought out the cat's amber eyes, which lit up as soon as she saw Sara.
Unabashedly, the girl went to give her a hug with a grin that could be fearsome, if one didn't know her.

Jason looked up at the house as he exited out of his car. It was a nice home for them and Jason knew Peter and Loika will work it out somehow even if things didn't look up for them. They now had a family of their own and it would be much harder now. He remembered the day they came to Xavier's institute. They were nothing more then broken people. With no place to stay and no one to teach them to control their powers.

Jason walked toward the house, looking at the nicely tiled looking sidewalk that lead up to the front doors. Not a second to waste more, he entered the house, instantly hearing Logan talking to Sara about him. "The cage isn't big enough to hold me, Logan. I thought you of all people would know that." said Jason as he approached the table where everyone was gathering. "Hello Loika and Peter, nice house you got."

Logan chuckled loudly and clapped Andrews hard on the back. " Damn there goes my plans of layin my charm on the missus. Finally able to break away Professor?"He was joking. He would never take someone's woman. He never counted to situation with Jean. Jean was her own woman. She would never belong to anyone.

Sara got up to greet Jason. " Damn. i guess i will need to find better ways of retraining you then." She said with a smirk. Just then she felt something hug her and she noticed Katt. She grinned back at the girl and tucked some of her hair behind her ear. " Well hello there Miss Jackson. how are you enjoying the new house?"

Mackenzie ran in behind Katt. She was dressed in stressed demin jeans, a tshirt, and a seude vest. She run up to logan and jumped, grabbing onto his arm and hanging on. " Im a monkey im a monkey! Do the tree arm Mr Logan tree arm!" She giggled hard. It was a game she played with him when they still lived at the school.

"Roar..." said Jason jokingly to Sara's comment about her training him harder. He laughed at all the comments regarding him being able to get away for a day from his office. He looked at Logan, "I would never pass an opportunity for a party over some stack of papers." said Jason as he smiled again. Then, he saw Katt and Mackie running toward Sara. "Hello to you too, Mackie and Katt." He remembered exactly how it all happened and where he was the day he found Loika was pregnant.

Rémy opened up the door "Knock Knock. Can I come on? Thank ya!" He walked in "A nice place ya gots here!" He looked at everyone there "Logan! How are ya?" He gave Logan a manly hug. He turned to Jason and nodded. Then he looked back to James.

Logan chuckled and lifted his arm as Mackenzie demanded. She didnt have to use her powers, he pretty much did what she asked if it was within reason. She was a powerful kid. She musta gotten it from her momma. Logan didnt have kids that he knew of and most kids he didnt even like. He chuckled again as Mackie dangled from his arm like a monkey on a tree.

" Hello Remy. Didnt know you were coming. Careful not to set the wolves off." He said with a snerk. " This little monkey child is Mackenzie. Thats her sister Katt over there. Their father Peter." He gave peter a stern look. " You already know Mrs and Mr Andrews, Loika's sister Lakai. And Loika is in the kitchen."

Loika walked out of the kitchen with steamed vegetables and laughed. " Correction Loika is right here. You people with your human food." She stopped short and raised an eyebrow at Remy. She was surprised she didnt hear or smell him coming. He smelled interesting though. " Mr LeBau are you staying for dinner?"

Rémy chuckled at Logan's comment about "The Wolves" he looked around and topped his hat "Bonjour." Loika walked out of the kitchen "Well mmm that smells delicious." He smiled "Of course I'll be stayin' fo' dinner." He looked up and around the room. "Nice place ya got here. Although I prefer french décor this comes in a close second." He laughed "I'm kidding. This place is really nice."

Peter looked at Logan and snapped his finger as he was going to get beer. Then he realized, they didn't have beer. They wouldn't sell it to him because of his age. "Sorry, we don't have beer. Unless you'd rather I go and steals some. Which I am sure you won't approve of...or any of these guys." said Peter. "But, we have every kind of soda imaginable. Well, almost every kind. What would you like?"

Loika set the bowl of vegetables on the table. " Katt can you go get some extra chairs from the garage? And Mackenzie leave Logan Alone. You can help set the table." She wiped her hands on a towel. " Dinner will be ready shortly everyone. If anyone needs to wash up the bathroom is down the hall to the right."

She went back to the kitchen to bring the rest of the meal to the table. It was kind of exciting. Thier first "family dinner" in the new house. On her way to the kitchen she kissed Peter on the cheek.
