Late Summer Swim (PG-13)

Roger sat on the branch of a tree overlooking the lake. He sat typing in the air. Making an E-mail/ text that he would mass send to the computers and phones in the mansion.

"Throwing together a little get-together at the lake. Come if you want. Bring what you think necessary. See ya if you decide to come."

And that was the message. No name, nobody needed to know it was him. He wanted to see if anyone would come. He made an exploding motion with his hands, which in his vision caused the message to be multiplied. Then he brought his hands together as though he were holding an imaginary ball. This compressed all the messages together. Then he jumped down from the low branch. He turned to face the mansion, and made a throwing motion with his right arm which would send out the invitation. Now all he had to do was wait and see if anyone would take up the offer. He sat at the base of the tree and waited under the shade.

Peter's phone rang as he reached out into his pocket and fished out the phone. There was a message from an unknown caller, it spoke of swimming at the lake. He looked around to see if he could bust whoever it was. Since the lake offer stood, Peter guessed that whoever sent it was from Xavier's. The message also didn't leave the location of the gathering. So, he turned his phone off and headed into the building to fetch his beach towel.

Loika watched him with Mackenzie sleeping in her arms. The girl seemed older than she really was but she was still a child. Still needed mommy. Still needed naps. She smoothed her little's girl's hair out of her face and kissed her forehead gently without waking her. " You're going out?" She asked softly, trying not to wake Mackenzie.

Peter stopped just before he walked out the door. "Yeah..." he said, subconsciously pointing toward the door. I just got a message from someone about swimming at the lake. You should check your phone, I am sure that whoever invited me, wouldn't want me to come alone." He said, looking at Mackie sleeping and Loika on the bed with her. It was peaceful and he wondered if she would join him. But then he remembered that Loika didn't really like swimming, so she might not want to come with him.

Loika took the clip out of her hair and let her long black hair fall around her shoulders. She smiled at him and continued to play with Mackie's hair while she slept. " My phone is in the kitchen, so i didnt get a message. If i came id have to carry Mackie. I dont want to wake her up to take her. Ill come with you if you want but ill understand if you want time alone too." The sun shone through the windows and loika enjoyed the warmth. If she wasnt holding Mackie she would probably me laying out in wolf form snoozing.

As soon as she said kitchen, Peter teleported and grabbed her phone off the counter table. He appeared back in her room, flipping through her phone. "You got it as well," said Peter, throwing the phone on her bed. "It's up to you, but I am going down. Join me whenever you can if you want of course." said Peter. He didn't know who sent that message, but he was going to find out now. "Alright, well...I'll see you later at the lake if you come down." said Pete as he teleported out.

Loika gave Mackenzie a little kiss then made her decision. They would only be at the lake. She let Katt know where she was going and asked her to keep an eye on her little sister. Making sure they were fine, she left the house and followed after Peter.

She ran to the lake in wolf form, carrying her clothes in her mouth. She trotted up to peter and wagged her tail while looking around curiously.

Roger had fallen asleep against the base of the tree while waiting for people to show up. Something happened to wake him from his little nap. Some piece of technology had just become close enough for him to pick it up on his senses. He perked up with his eyes glowing blue to check who it was. After some digital digging, he figured out that it was Peter. He stood up and climbed up the tree to see if he could spot him from there. About halfway up he could see the shape of a person, and next to that person was a wolf. Roger figured the wolf was Loika, since she and Peter were usually found together most of the time.

Peter looked down and smiled as he saw Loika trot next to him in her wolf form. There she was, brave and carrying her clothes. Peter appeared at the lake, and to his surprise found no one at the lake. "The hell..." muttered Peter to himself as he looked around. "Where is everyone?" This made no sense to Peter. Was someone playing a prank on him?

Loika dropped her clothes in surprised and her lips were up in a growl before she even fully realized what she was doing. It was instinct. She moved protectively in front of peter and made a very defensive looking stance. Her ears where perfectly perked, her entire body tense.
