The man she had sent her blast of wind to vanished as she took a stance on the fire escape, ready for anything. A small gasp escaped her when she felt someone...no, something...grab hold of her wings. As Cameron tried to pull away, she was unable to move more than an inch or two. Before she could look to see what had her, Gavin was in front of her, crushing her lips with his. How she had missed that: his touch, his scent, everything... When he broke the kiss, she glanced into his eyes and saw something she never thought she would see. It was as if he knew this was the last time... Hearing his words of apology, and his grip tighten on her, she didn't know what was going to happen. Taking hold of him, she trusted whatever action he was going to carry out.
Suddenly, she felt the grip on her wings release and the fire escape shudder under their feet. As it was destroyed, Cameron spread her now free wings and went to fly. She held onto Gavin's jacket, but as it was cut in half, he half she held came away from his body, causing him to slip from her grasp. As he fell, Cameron tried to catch him, to no avail. Landing hard on the ground, Cameron's knees buckled, dropping her completely. She coughed lightly as the dust from Gavin's crashing fall filled the space. Where was the madman behind this attack?
Cameron! Looking up, the dust was beginning to settle and she could just make out his form as he got up from the giant dip his fall had created. "Gavin.... Gavin!" Cameron called out in return. Getting to her feet, she gave a small flap of her wings clearing the dust from them as well as some of the air around them. Then she so him, the man that she had lost sight of in the fall. In his hand was Gavin's katana. As he closed in on him, Cameron went to call out for Gavin to watch out, but just as the words were just about to leave her throat, the man brought the blade down, decapitating him....
"NO!!!!!!!!!!!" Cameron screamed as tears immediately filled her brown eyes and spilled over. Crashing to her knees, she brought her hands to her mouth as she watched shadows consume the two pieces of his body. Rage filled her small form as she slowly got to her feet and lowered her hands. "You sick, bastard...." she growled at the man. With one she grabbing a piece of the tattered fire escape with her telekinetic power and flung it at the man with full intention of knocking him through the wall behind him.
