Harper buttoned her black pea coat as she headed towards the exit of the modeling agency where she worked. It had been not just a long day, but a long week, and she happily looked forward to a long, and much deserved four day weekend. "Excellent work today, Miss Beckett. Enjoy your weekend," Eli, her manager, commented as he joined up with her and walked her to the door. "I plan on it. Make sure  you get some rest, too. You work too hard for your own good," she said with a wink. "A manager's work is never done. Now, go on. Get outta here," he said opening the door for her and patting her back as she walked past.

The cool air of early evening washed over Harper as she descended the stairs, her boots sounding lightly with each footfall. When she reached the sidewalk, Harper looked up. That was the one thing she missed most about moving to New York. In Washington, one a clear night, such as this one, the early stars of night would be beginning to twinkle in the sky. With it being so bright here, it was sometimes hard to see the stars at all. Harper sighed and turned to head up the street, not ready to go home as she just needed to unwind from the day's photo shoots. With a toss of her head, she let her blonde hair frame her face as it willed, and set to simply enjoy a walk in the evening air.

The image of beauty.

Just there for the taking. If he didn't act fast, someone else would get her. Unfortunately, there was no potion or magic spell that would guarantee that he would land the thing he so desperately craved. This was as unpredictable as the weather. However, there were some moves that had resulted in success in varying degrees.

Neal wore a dark caftan, it's hood was pulled up over his head, covering his wet black hair. His eyes were dark, and so his aura. He stared at this adorable lady, and he felt his insides itching. His imagination started, and his ears could almost hear her screams. Without a moment of more hesitation, he walked forward towards her and stood in front of her. "Hey there! I do recognize you." He said in the most kind voice he could display.

"I'm Neal Ackerman, by the way." He said, holding his hand out to the girl, his most winning smile attached to his face.

Lost in thoughts of what she would be doing over this long weekend, Harper was brought back to the hear and now when she was spoken to by a hooded figure. His voice was kind, sweet even. Upon mentioning that he knew her, she couldn't help but smile. Being in the type of business she was, Harper wasn't a bit surprised. Sure she might pose for swimsuits and lingerie for women, but that didn't mean men didn't look.

Glancing at his extended hand, Harper slipped hers into his and gave it a firm shake. "Pleasure to meet you, Neal Ackerman. Since you recognize me, I guess you might already know my name," she said lightly. Her bright eyes fell on his face. She wasn't going to lie, Neal had a charming smile. Of all his features, he had a very nice smile.

"Nice lady." Neal smiled when she took his hand and gave it a firm shake. He looked at her, she looked like twenty's and easy to handle. Neal could feel the stares on him. She already thought him attractive. In the simple way she looked at him, it was obvious that she was blinded by his looks, as most people were at first meeting. Folks usually got over that quickly though.

"Harper Becket." He said. She appeared on the cover of many magazines. According to some reports if Neal was not mistaken, some of the issues had to be reprinted twice to fill in the demand for copies. "I found that all your pictorials were tastefully done. They were very classy. You're beautiful in all of the shots, although I found you to be really stunning in black." He said, looking at her coat.

"Anyway, what brings you here? Pictorial?" He asked gently. Neal knew this could disarm the lady more and open her up like a can of tuna. If she answers then voila! A conversation would be born.

Harper Beckett She tipped her head slightly, confirming that she was, in fact, the one and only Miss Beckett. As he complimented her work, she was pleased that he was so taken with what she did. It wasn't often that photographers were blessed with a subject with her...gift...to enhance the shots, but that was what set her apart from the other models in the trade, making her very sought after. "Why, thank you, Mr. Ackerman," Harper said, slipping her hands into her coat pocket. "So, black, huh? I'm surprised. Many man favor the red selections," she added with a wink.

When asked what brought her to this area, she turned and nodded towards the tall building where she worked most days. "I work there. We had a session that ran much later than usual," Harper answered him, turning back. "I'm not normally off this late, but photographers are picky people sometimes," she joked. He certainly seemed gentlemanly enough to her. There was no harm in talking, she reasoned. "And, what about you? What brings you here this fine evening?" Harper asked.

"Black is beautiful." He beamed and winked back at the lady. While Harper showed him the building where she was working, Neal stared at her. With a drop-dead gorgeous and fame, how could Ms. Becket not bloom? What was keeping her happy was also keeping her sexy.

Neal let his hand slide off her shoulder, but he grew more tense when it did. "People are not very trusting here love when it's dark so let me accompany you, if it is okay." He said.

He could see it, she already got dazzled by his fake gentleness. This was Neal's trick. He usually praised what his prey cared about, so every females had to read his expressions and actions carefully or else he would get them without breaking a sweat.

"Actually, I am not sure why the hell I am here but perhaps because of you love." He said gently. Love. Great for calling someone when Neal really liked the lady. "You know I had a dream about you…" He murmured. Neal never went into detail because he didn’t actually have the dream, anyway so he kept it vague, yet interesting. "The dream was very intimate." He suggested.

Harper smiled and nodded in agreement, black was beautiful. It was one of her favorite colors to model in, really. When his hand slipped from her shoulder, she watched it fall before bringing her blue eyes up to his face once more. "If people here, in the dark, aren't trusting, then what makes you think that I can trust you, Mr. Ackerman? A man I've just met?" she asked with a smirk and a gently raised eyebrow. Harper was no fool. She knew that care needed to be taken in a place such as this, at a time such as this with night fast approaching.

Neal's mention of a rather intimate dream about her, sent her warning flags up in her mind. Sure, men looked at her pictures, as she was sure such dreams weren't as unheard of as some might think, but hearing about them still made her leery. Especially coming from someone she just met. "Oh?" Harper asked lightly in regards to this dream of his. She noticed the streetlamps beginning to pop on a few at a time, and was thankful she stood in the middle of one of the gentle rays of light pouring from one.

Neal didn't answer anymore. He just grinned. Neal noticed the streetlights began to flicker on. It was odd. Someone was doing it. Perhaps a mutant was there at the place, observing them. He had to leave. No, THEY had to leave.

A few minutes after, strong winds were starting to be felt. Rains started to pour. "Quick!" He said, as Neal led her in a nearby alley, between two buildings.

Since she didn't react when Neal put his hand on her shoulder, Neal pursued to gently lead her along with his right hand to her lower back, his left hand on her shoulder, steering her without applying to much force, but making sure others who might knew him in the Time Square to back off.

It was obvious Neal's plan was working, and would be obvious to her as well that Neal wanted more something that delightful, roller-coaster ride of sensations ricocheting between ecstasy and despair. Neal wrapped his arm around her shoulders, and let go of her with his left hand. He hid his right hand. He spun around and using his weight he attempted to push her up against a wall in the alley.

Neal's right hand generated lightning pulse, wind blew and smiled at her, his teeth glinting white against his darker skin. "For now, you have no choice but to trust me, Ms. Lingerie." He whispered holding his forearm over her throat.

Without warning, the sky seemed to open and rain poured down over them along with strong winds blowing the wet and cold into their bodies. Odd.... Freak weather such as this was not common here, and there was no sign of rain anywhere in the forecast for days. Was is possible there was another one like her around?

Harper moved with him, allowing him to guide her out of the sudden weather. But when his lead took them to an alley between two buildings, she began to wonder if he was the one behind the weather. "What in the world weather is that?" she asked as he slipped his arm around her shoulders. As he pushed her against one of the walls, her eyes hardened. "You want me to trust you, Mr. Ackerman? You let me go and get us out of this rain," she said firmly, her blue eye suddenly like ice.

"That weather means danger Love." He growled into her ear, his arm still across her throat, lightning pulse still generating in his arm as well. "Let you go?" Neal smirked. "Uh, uh, ain't gonna do you any good, because you're coming with me. Stand perfectly still against the wall okay? You move and I kill you, and I have no problems doing that either." He said moving his electrifying hands closer to her. "We are nowhere near anyone right now love, it's raining, people are hiding, we're so far away from the precious roads of Time Square. So stay perfectly still, if you don't, it will only be harder on you, and you've already got it bad." He grinned.

Neal flicked his head back, and his hood fell from his face. He stared at her blue eyes. "Don't move or it'll be a while before you get to see your family and your fans again." He laughed. "Now!!! You're coming with me." He growled, and grabbed her arm, spinning on the spot as he commanded the wind currents to lift them up. "Move or I let you fall!"

At Neal's threats and commands, Harper's features hardened and she clenched her jaw as she set her teeth. While she had no intention of going with him, at this point, she had no choice. Her suspicions were correct. This weather wasn't just random weather. It was caused my a mutant, and it appeared, Neal Ackerman was the mutant in question...

As he flicked his head causing his hood to fall back, Harper was shocked to see a rather handsome face tied to her now captor. Be that as it may, she was still not thrilled about his hard words. "Going with you? Not likely, you son-of-a-" she growled back darkly, but stopped suddenly when he grabbed her arm and they were raised into the air. Out of pure reaction, Harper wrapped her arms around Neal with a gasp, holding onto him tightly. Looking below them as they left the ground, Harper's eyes grew wide before hiding her face in Neal's chest.
