Current plot
Many years ago Xavier's school for gifted mutants was attacked. It was left in ruin. Teachers and students abandoned it with no hope of returning to it for sanctuary...

Years later a professor named Jason Andrews returned life to the school's halls and rebuilt its walls. Students have once again come to learn at the school in safety.

Many other mutants aren't quite so lucky. Some still remain hidden in the shadows and some within factions like the brotherhood are left leaderless.

PostSubject: Lesson 1 - Welcome   Mon Dec 02, 2013 11:40 am

Jason entered the class and instantly changed the settings of the room. The classroom still existed, with one exception, it was now standing in a middle of Colosseum in Ancient Rome. All around them, there were people yelling for some sort of a show to start. But Jason's wasn't ready to progress to that part yet.

He was waiting for the students to show. He looked at the roster and read off all the names in his head.

Valerie Deuxblin
William Pierce
Silus Mason
Natasha Petrov
Briana Walker

It was just  three students for now, but Jason was sure that people would join later as the year continued. They will always have new kids coming by and settling in as their new home. Jason looked around, noticing that the door opened. He smiled at the thought of what the kids would think. They think they are entering a regular class, but instead they will be coming into Colosseum in Ancient Rome.

Valerie thought that she was late for class. She had woken up late, and had a very very quick shower, before getting dressed in a simple outfit and grabbing her things, before exiting her dorm, and practically running her way to the first class.

Valerie was never one to be late, and she certainly didn't want to make a bad impression on the first day, which from what it seemed, she would, but at least, she should get her ass to class before anything else happened. She ignored the weird looks she got on her way there, and tried to concentrate on getting there as quickly as possible, but everyone kept getting in her way,so she had to find another way.
Smiling at herself, she used her Crystallokinesis to make the floor slide, before she hoped up,sliding herself to class, and almost running into a few people who even cursed at her a few times.

Once she arrived to class, she pulled her hair up in a messy bun, before walking in,only to yelp at the sight of being in the middle of the Colosseum, instead of being in a regular class.
"Wow..,"she managed to say, before she took a good look around, taking in the magnificent view.
She soon turned to her Professor and nodded at him."Bonjour Professeur!"
She smiled at him,her French accent strong in her words.

World History time! Finally, something Silus could enjoy and soak himself into like a sponge. Silus was always fascinated by history, well...as far as he can remember. In fact, Silus had begun to think that his inability to recall his own personal history led him to LOVE knowing the history of the world around him. He had a slight spring to his step, while keeping his usual "tough-guy" appearance. He couldn't exactly skip to World History dressed like he was after all. People might think he's soft and good-natured, which he was. People didn't need to know that at least. He was about two minutes from the room when he was almost blindsided by a girl who was siding across the floor. He jerked back and sighed.

"The girls in this joint..."He said to himself. slightly irritated. This was the second time in the span of a day that he'd almost run into one of these rushing crazy people. Of course se had steered herself right into the World History room, stopping to put her hair up in a bun before she walked in. Silus rolled his eyes and made his way towards the classroom. He opened the door, looked in and saw the professor and the girl. He also noted a crowed of cheering people all screaming. Silus closed the door, turned around and looked around at everyone else who had just passed. Silus was a pro at being calm but....holy crap. He opened the door and stepped in, watching the ground beneath him as he stepped. He walked in and his eyes lit up, figuratively this time around, and he had a wide smile as he looked around and took in the atmosphere.

Flavian Amphitheatre, Construction began 70 Anno Domini...under Vespasian, founder of the Flavian Dynasty. WOW! It looks so real." He said to himself as he turned around and looked about. Italy was...important to him...he couldn't remember why... "Uh-Hi, I'm -ah- Silus." Silus said, introducing himself to the others.

Jason turned around from watching people, to see a girl run into a classroom. He smiled to himself, wondering what she thought of being ten minutes early to the class. But he figured she didn't know that. Of course, Jason wasn't going to say anything about that. She was on time nonetheless. At least ten minutes early on time.
"Hello, Ms. Deuxblin," said Jason, noticing she was the only girl in his class. Well, there was only three students and he was safe in assuming that she was in face Valerie. As Jason was looking at the girl taking a seat, he heard someone walking into a class.

"Flavian Amphitheatre, Construction began 70 Anno Domini...under Vespasian, founder of the Flavian Dynasty. WOW! It looks so real."
Jason didn't even need to ask the boy's name. He was Silus Mason, who, once saw Jason begun to stutter. Jason didn't blame the kid, of course anyone would be nervous at first.
"Very good, Silus. You do know Ancient Rome, don't you?" said Jason, praising the kid. He loved to have people in his classroom who knew the history, but also people who would love to learn more about subject. "Please, take a seat anywhere you'd like."

Now, Jason had to wait for the last person, William Pierce. He has never met any of these kids, but was going to be happy to get to know them all.
"We'll begin in about..." said Jason as he looked at his wrist watch, "err...in about, five minus. If William doesn't show up on time, we'll just have to begin without him."

Natasha walked into the classroom and up to Mr Andrews. He was one of the few people she was comfortable with. " Allo Mr Andrews. Sorry am late. Was in hospital, too late to sign up for class?" She jumped when she realized they were in a Colosseum.

Jason turned to look at the last student walking into a classroom. It was Natasha. "No, not at all," said Jason, motioning for her to take a seat somewhere in a class. Then, he clapped his hands and the crowd of people sitting around a colosseum exploded in enormous cheering. "Welcome everyone," said Jason, looking at all the faces in a classroom . "This is a history class, we'll be covering many aspects of historic events here. And the fun part is...you will all get to see them. Right now, you are sitting right in a middle of Colosseum." Jason smiled as he saw three large tigers were released from their cages. Without another word, the hungry beasts charged toward the group of sitting kids, waiting for further instructions.

Natasha looked up at the charging beasts. She was frightened for a second then her body took over. She quickly reached into her backpack and pulled out some rollerblade wheels. She used her power to charge them then flung them at the tigers. She was aiming for the most delicate part of thier skulls.

"Juuuust great." Silus said as he saw the three large cats. He had total faith in the professor being able to keep them from harm...though he wasn't very sure of himself to stay alive long enough for an intervention. He looked around to try and find any form of cover. It's not like he could even knock them out or anything! By time he'd get his hands on the tiger he'd be cat-nip. The new girl in class seemed to have the right idea, but then he thought about it a second.

"Eh-uh, Professor! If we're actually back in time, is she allowed to do THAT!?" Silus asked as he stood up from his desk seat. He wanted to run but where was he going to go? Instead he tried to think of someway to help. As far as he was concerned this was a BIIIG mistake, they could change too much.

Jason smiled as he saw Natasha charging her skateboard and throwing it at the lions. The only problem there was, the surroundings around them weren't the actual Colosseum, they were the holographic projection of what was back in a day. Natasha was actually throwing her skateboard at the wall and not the lions. Because lions weren't real and they weren't going to harm anyone. "Good point, Silus," said Jason as he waved his hand and the surroundings around them were now regular walls and windows. On a wall, there was a visible dent, where Natasha threw her skateboard.

"Alright, that didn't go so well," said Jason "Let's start with something a bit traditional, shall we?" He walked over to the end of the class and took a seat among the students. "Each and everyone of you will come up to the front of the class and introduce yourselves. Don't worry, no one is going to judge you. There is only three of you here. So, whoever wants to volunteer, please...come on up to the front." said Jason.

Briana made her way to the World History classroom, late again, but, just like with Biology, she had taken several wrong turns as she tried to find her way. Some of the students she had asked for help were less then helpful, which also lead to her running behind. She opened the door and slipped in, keeping her eyes down, so as not to draw even more attention to herself. Briana made her way to the professor and handed him a note from the counselor requesting he add her to his roster. "Sorry for being late, Professor," she said with a small smile raising her odd-colored eyes to his face. "I hope I haven't missed much and that you have room for one more," she added, her voice a little stronger.

So much for her plan of being invisible to everyone. Now she just made herself look like a huge ass. She stuffed the wheels back into her back and sat down quickly.

Silus walked up to the front, noticing the girl whom just walked in. He did as he was told and introduced himself. He folded his arms, and bit his tongue the entire way up, pivoted on a foot and looked to the other mutants.

"Silus." He said lamely as he looked to Professor Andrews, asking permission to return to his seat. He didn't want to be any more social than he really needed to be at this point, he was here to learn and to keep that fact buried inside him. At the Professor's permission he'd return to his seat, or if he had to he would stand there. Though he was rather against the latter.

Jason smiled and nodded at every student that came up to the front to introduce him/herself. It wasn't as awkward for them, probably due to the fact that there were so little students in a class, but why should that stop them from being socially active? Jason watched every student take a seat after their initial greeting. After Silus took his seat, Jason stood up and clapped his hands. "Well, that was brilliant!" he announced happily. Excitment ripping through his every vocal cord.

"Alright, now, where do you lot want to go?" he asked. "Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, Pompeii, you name it, we'll go!"

Briana thought for a moment.... Anywhere.... They could go anywhere.... Looking at Professor Jason, Briana took a deep breath before asking, "How about to the time of the Vikings?" It was a time that she had found interesting when they had touched on it in school before she came here. If they could go there, it was sure to be more in depth than what had been covered before. Briana didn't look around to see if any of the others agreed or disagreed with her choice. She simply stayed focused on the professor.

Vikings would be great...if Silus weren't sure that they were all bigger, faster and stronger than the class...and also were skilled warriors. Yes...please let us go back to a time period of barbaric warriors who drank the blood out of the head of their first kill. He mocked Briana in his mind, unknowing of who she was. Though perhaps one of the more "passive" views or passive events of History would be pretty cool. Silus smiled at the thought of seeing one of the great Viking ships, or maybe a special event that turned the tide of the world...forever!

He had to confess that he didn't really grasp the whole concept of traveling through time, but once he did it made him almost ecstatic. He was like a little kid on crack, he smiled and bit his thumb as he thought about it. He hummed a little before speaking up. "Vikings might b a little intense... but if we do wander that way...could we MAYBE see the fight between Gnupa the son of Olaf and Grom the Old?" Silus asked casually. If he saw that battle he'd never forget it!

Jason looked at the classroom of blank faces. "No one has or wanted to go some place far far away?" asked Jason as he watched a girl--Briana speak up.
"How about to the time of the Vikings?"
"Vikings! Ah yes!" he exclaimed in excitment. "My favorite people, well--not really, but, fierce people. Fighting like animals, with no regard for others." Jason was now blabbering without realizing that another statement popped  up.

Yes...please let us go back to a time period of barbaric warriors who drank the blood out of the head of their first kill.

Jason looked up at Silus with a warning look. "There is no need to be rude, Silus," he said very quickly not letting anyone register that or make any comment about it.
"Vikings might b a little intense... but if we do wander that way...could we MAYBE see the fight between Gnupa the son of Olaf and Grom the Old?"
"BRILLIANT!" exclaimed Jason, trying to rile up everyone and get them excited about the trip. "However, there are few rules about the trip. First of all, never, ever wander off on your own. Once you get away from us, you might as well consider yourself a viking, because when we get ready to go back to our time, you will not make it. We cannot take time to look for you. So, stick with me at all times. Two, do not mess with time. What you do in a past, can--and most of the times does--affect the future. If someone dies, do not try and help them out. Believe me, I tried that once when my wife--MOVING ON--and three stay clear of danger, if you get hurt, it will not go away..so if you get killed...unfortunately the death is final no matter how far you are into the past So, with that in mind, let us get on with that trip.

Jason motioned his hand to the left as if he was opening a show and then he heard a loud banging of a hammer on top of metal. "Welcome to eighth century!"

Valerie was too shy to go up and introduce herself like the rest of the class. Another girl joined them, and she seemed really outgoing, but Valerie was just not... so expressive. She liked to keep to herself and be the good girl. No one knew things about her, and she rarely ever talked to people. She stayed silent most of the time, and that kept her out of trouble.
When she was alone, she sung, or played around with her crystals.

When Professor Andrew asked where they would like to be going, she had an idea, but kept quiet, listening to the others, wanting to hear their ideas first.
The Viking idea was the winning one, and in a matter of seconds, they were surrounded by snow and cold.
Valerie looked down at her tiny self, dressed in a shirt and a skirt, and started shivering a little.
Professor Andrew started talking to them, warning them of what they should not do.
Staying out of trouble was something Valerie could do, but if she happened to stumble upon it, her sweet voice would always keep her safe. Siren Song was a blessing to her.

"Can we wander around and discover, Professor?", the French girl asked with a small smile, as she kept shivering a little.

"I didn't say?-!!" Silus questioned, he suddenly shut his mouth. Of course when you're about to say something socially unacceptable what do you do? Shut you'r mouth and think it instead. Fuck a Telepath! his mind snapped. Immediately after thinking this he tried to make his mind busy, using the same thing he did all the time. He began biting his lower lip, trying to make the pain receptors trigger brain activity. He pinched an arm and began playing random black-jack in his mind, keeping completely and totally busy. He was able to take in a few bits and pieces of the rules that Professor Andrew had laid out for them, but it was mostly painfully apparent that he was distracting himself.

He was partially angry as well, he loved history and now he had to make sure he spent every class blocking his mind as best he could... what if Professor Andrews were really, REALLY skilled? Sure, Silus could buy time, but he couldn't stop an invasion on his mind. He groaned and squirmed, even noticing that the area around him had changed... he didn't care. HE wanted to learn history, the teacher was a blessing, teaching him PURE UNALTERED history by taking them back in time...and he had to live in fear that the teacher was going to read his mind.

Wasn't being rude, just making a point. Dealer flics a three, puts me at thirteen. Briana is brilliant. Hit me, dealer flics a four. But a bad idea is still a bad idea. Seventeen, hit me one last time. Damn my lip hurts. Even I have bad ideas. New dealer, blonde with green eyes, deals me a three and a nine, twelve...I'm not going to learn anything at this rate. Silus groaned in his head, trying to keep himself as preoccupied as possible.[/color]

Briana glanced at Silus as he offered a time when the Vikings were more at peace than their normal hostile selves. A small smile touched her lips in a way of saying thanks for getting a little more specific time for them to visit. She, honestly, hadn't thought about the danger they could have just poofed right into if they weren't careful, but, at the same time, she trusted Professor Andrews. He wouldn't just plop them someplace without thinking about their safety.

As the classroom shifted around them and they were suddenly in the time of the Vikings, Briana's grey and green eyes grew wide as she looked around them. She played the rules over in her mind from Professor Andrews about the dos and don't while they were here. Standing to get a better look, she was really excited to actually get to walk about and explore a little.

Entering the classroom she look around with the best smile she could muster but then she was shocked to see three large tigers charging towards her co-students. Fuck a Telepath!

Jason looked at Silus for a few moments and then clapped his hands together very loudly to get everyone's attention. He remember someone asked a question about something but he couldn't remember, so he thought about it as he looked at everyone trying to rremember who asked it. "Ah, yes... Valerie!" said Jason in enthusiastic voice. "Scratch that rule about wandering off--just a tiny bit. Yes, you can go off and explore--HOWEVER--I ask that you remain within a reachable range. All your minds are connected to mine, well--sort of. If you go off too far, I will lose the connection with you and you will be out of reach of me calling you back. So, make sure you stay close enough--so then, when it is time to leave, I will be able to call you all back." said Jason, smiling at the girl. "Otherwise, have fun..."

Jason once again loked at Silus. Don't worry, I only invade minds when it's necessary. I don't deliberately sit in people's heads and read their thoughts. You can stop trying to confuse me. Suddenly, a girl walked into a classroom, which looked like she just popped out of the thin air. "Raven, nice of you to join!" he said, smiling at her.

"Wha--wha-what cla-cla-clas-class is this?"

"Welcome to World History!" Then, someone caught Jason's eye. He turned to see a viking man hammering piece of metal. "ALRIK!" he shouted, hugging the man. "How's your wife? Kids are doing good?"

Silus looked to Jason Andrews. His mind silenced, but he didn't wasn't sure exactly what to do. He warily wandered off on his own a little, finding a kid not too far from his own age. He sort of walked up and the kid assumed a rather offensive stance. Silus hopped back with his hands up in the air, his eyes flashing a glowing green. The young Viking stopped and seemed almost wary but intrigued by the eyes. Silus slowly lowered his hands and waited for the opposing force to let down their aggressive stance, though he wasn't sure exactly how they were supposed to communicate. Silus wasn't fluent in Scandinavian.

"Erm...Professor. How are we supposed to communicate with them? We can't talk directly to their minds..." Silus called. He had nowhere to run really, though he was still wanting to do so. He had hoped Professor Andrews could hear his earlier comment. He actually hadn't thought this through. Even I have bad ideas...case in point. he thought to himself, audibly swallowing as his hands began to sweat in the cold climate.
