For My Brother's Safety

Its been four days since the meeting with his brother, that means only three more days until he had to see him at the tower. This was the place ever mutant saw as a safe haven. Time to see if it was as good as they say it was. After passing the front gate. He open the door an look around. hall ways and stair that lead to the unknown he didn't know where to go nor, where he needed to be. Standing in his white T black vest with some navy blue jean pants he observed the place. Walking in his black an white Nikes to the sign that read "Office" he looked up to the wall then turned to one of the hall ways. The place was mildly silent but, the sudden talking here and there where ok time to time. The place look safe but, only the words form someone that lived here could prove or disprove his opinion. It was around one noon. Only a matter of time before someone appeared. he just had to keep walking in circles in this maze of a place until someone came to him.

She liked the quiet days, when no one disturbed her. These were the days that she could just let herself relax and be as she was. She was snug into the corner, her eyes drifting softly into slumber when she heard footsteps appear from the corner. Curiosity from the noise had her ears perk up, her black fur shimmered as she sat up and stretched almost like a regular cat, but her eyes, no they were not cat like eyes. Something else was behind them.

She meowed slightly, and looked up as a grey parrot began to fly ahead and toward the boy pacing the hall. The large wings made fluttering sounds so loud it could alert a sleeping corpse as the bird landed on the door frame and looked down at the boy. The eyes of the bird just looked at him before it spoke very clearly.

"Could you stop that?" It asked and took off flying back to the cat that now sat down behind the boy, she had moved silently behind him in that time frame, on her paws ever so lightly. Her long slender tail swung back and forth impatiently as her eyes shifted to gold and blue then back to green almost in seconds along with the fur changing patterns to spots then back to black, as if she wasn't in control of it.

Walking passed a door way a talking bird spoke to him. Shocked for a moment he looked up and asked. "Walking? Do you need me to stop?" Unsure if this was just some bird or a mutant he sat down by the door an looked around. Smelling a strong cat smell he started to tip toe towards it. Cats are cute but, they got bad tempers if angered. Might pet it for a while or sit beside it. After finding it at another corner, he sat down an started to rub its head. "How are you little fella. Your a pretty cute one. I wonder if your owner is near by?" A cat and a bird...someone had cool pets. Wonder if he near by?

The bird laughed loudly as the boy sat next to the cat, her eyes shimmered blue in content as she let out a soft purr before she remembered she wasn't someones pet. She took in a deep breath and stood up, rubbing her head against his hand gently as if toying with the boy before backing up a bit. The bird kept laughing, intelligently as if the entire situation was the funniest it had ever seen. Finally, the cat meowed slightly, and began to grow in size slowly, shifting its bones into a larger form. The fur expanded, whiskers elongated as it grew to the size a leopard. Her fangs grew as well, eyes shifting to a golden sun color and by the time it was done, she was standing head level at him on her paws and sniffed.

It was almost as if she was enjoying herself at this moment when the bird looked down again and giggled a girlish giggle.
"Oh yes she's right here." The bird spoke almost sarcastically if it was possible as the now large leopard sat down back as she did earlier in her smaller form. Her eyes blinked a human intelligence at Angelo and it seemed as if a cat could smile, she was.

Backing up realizing that the little cat he was so softly petting was really a mutant he looked back towards the fully grown cat. "I meant no disrespect." he mutter. You know those situations where nothing made sense anymore...Yeah it was that moment. Looking back at the cat. "Do you live here in this maze of a place? It would be great if I could be shown around this place." no one in the world could be as surprised as he was. Maybe he was a little bit over dramatic but, this was one of those moments. "Can you turn into other animals?"

The cat sat there for a moment as she looked up at the bird and growled slightly, almost contently as once again her body shifted, the bones now began long human legs and arms, her body still covered in fur almost made her look like a tall furry girl until the fur simply vanished into every pour on her body. It didn't even seem to phase her that she now stood before the younger man without clothing, her long curly black hair covered her perfectly in a way of modesty though as her eyes shifted back to their normal black human shapes. Her fangs slowly turned normal but her nails stayed cat like as the bird took off and away as if by some unguided thought process.

"Yes, and yes...." She spoke with a feline type of tone in her voice, not fully human, but not completely inhuman as the bird began to fly back with clothing in its feet. She reached up as the bird came into view and grabbed the simple black shorts and t-shirt, nothing special and slipped it on like she hadn't the slightest care in the world about what had just happened.

"Thanks for the scratch on....ear. Felt.... good....

Staring hard as the cat went into a human the boy couldn't help himself but, to stare insanely hard at the woman's parts. As his eye started to wonder off he took a hard gulp then turned around just as the bird flew right above him. "That's one....Good...transformation...you have there." Just before his heart and eyes poped right out he sent that memory right into a vault so he could forever remember it. I am guessing you live here. I am Angelo, I have been walking around for some time now so it good that there are other people here. A little blood trickled down his nose then wiping it he took of his vest still looking at the wall. "You can use this if you need it. Also its was no problem scratching your head" It was one meeting the young boy was not going to forget but, something was a little bit off about her. Maybe it was the voice....

Jessie looked at his vest but shook her head, and handed it back, her bird had brought her all the covering clothing she needed and was now dressed in short black jean shorts and a tight black t-shirt. Very plain and covered in fur as if it was the only outfit she owned. Her eyes shifted slightly as he spoke, going to a deep emerald before back to black, almost like a quirk as her nails finally returned to human shape. She sniffed the air slightly, sensing the blood dripping from his noise and raised a brow, a soft purr escaped her lips as she cleared her throat.

"I live here... yes... with Flip." She said and pointed to the bird who landed back on the door frame. It began to giggle again, human like and then shook it's head in contentment.

"I am, Jessie...." She said after a minute pause, her body was now completely human, no trace of any animalistic features at all. Her voice too was perfectly humane, the animalistic voice of earlier had vanished entirely. Her eyes stayed the deep shade of black, no shifting or quirks appeared as she looked down slightly, not realizing that she may of shown the boy more than was appropriate, but in her mind she didn't see anything wrong with the way she wandered the mansion.

As the boy fought with himself so he wouldn't do anything rude. He turned her an started to walk with her. "It is nice to meet you Jessie. Today I just wanted to walk around an learn about this place. There are somethings I wanted to know before I made a "Complete" on one of my plans. How long have you been here?" The boy asked. A little puzzled about the whole...nudist moment...she look like a normal-ish person. As normal as they come at less. Walking with her seem nice, as her aroma grew. She had this, Mamma, persona going on to him. Being a boy that never had one it was nice to have someone lead him around but, there was no time to start wanting the childhood of his dreams now. He had someone that was in need of him. He could not fail. "Do you know where I could find the founder or a leader of this place. There a lot of questions I have that I need answer. Plus I'm starting to get hungry. I want to get out of here soon so I can eat something." He said as he split another corner. It seem like he was going towards the living courtier because, the doors started to look more...home-ish.

She nodded at his words, understanding them more than she could actually speak it. As they walked, she noticed she was just following him more than anything else as the bird flew overhead like an unwanted spy so to say. It kept it's distance but still was close enough to be heard flying.

She thought back to the day she came here, and stopped walking for a moment, three long years ago. Of course no one really knew that since she didn't take herself out of her room for two of those years, and for the last 6 months, she had wandered around like a cat. Many students had actually thought she was a school pet for the time she had been here.

"Not long...." She lied about her time spent here. She wasn't too sure on what to say. Her movements even though seemed human enough were silent and feline like. It was as if she was walking on her toes like a cat. Again she sniffed the air and looked back to him and pointed at the tiny bit of blood on his nose he had missed earlier.

"Injured?" She asked casually, her eyes changed colors at the same time, almost predator like for just that moment of interest before shifting back.

Stopping when she did, she look like she was reminiscing in the past. A look he knew far to well. Standing still he waited until she was done them she said "Injured?" while pointing at his nose. He said in a tone. "No no, I'm ok. I just have a moment. I'm fine really. Can you take the lead cause I really don't know where I'm going."" It was silent, she didn't talk much but, that what made her more...Grown Up ish. Sometimes the boy wished she would say a word or two but, hey as long as he got to look around he could put up with it. "How old are you?"

She nodded when he spoke about the blood, and began to walk once more. She sniffed the air slightly, and turned around facing him, her nose turning into a dogs snout for a shift of a minute, almost like a rose unfolding as she did so and pointed down the hall they had passed by.

"They just made something here.... and I am... old enough...." She spoke gently, struggling to get the correct wording in order. It was if she was trying not to speak in a bark of a dog tone which was something different now that her snout was shifting back to normal.

"Twenty-five" A voice overhead spoke down to them at that exact moment and flew down and onto Angelo's shoulder as if it didn't care that the boy wasn't a perch. The bird actually began to prean its feathers before Jessie hissed at him, and glared. The bird squawked and flew up and onto the door frame of the kitchen as they reached it.

"Flip is very....rude...apology for him..."

Looking at her he didn't mine being a perch, to be honest it was kind of cool. "It's no problem. So where are we now?" he ask to the Jessie. It smelled like someone was cooking or doing something in front but, the bird ahead was shifting the smell every where. Looking around real quick he wonder how long this woman and bird have been together
"How long have you guys been together? He didn't mean to intrude but it seem like they where close.

A small smile crept on her face as she pointed at the sign above the door they stood at that read "KITCHEN" and grinned as her teeth returned to normal.

"Many years.... He helps..." She spoke softly and walked into the empty kitchen. Who ever was cooking had been done for some time now and cookies lined the cabinet for anyone to take. Jessie simply walked to the fridge and opened it without care, taking out a few vegetables, and a carrot. she threw the veggy up and the bird caught it and landed with ease on a chair.

Her eyes caught sight of some meat and her nose curled in repulse as she closed the door and began to take a bite out of a piece of celery.

Looking around, there was nothing here anymore but some fresh cookies laying on the side. Hungry he took two and keep om following. "You don't talk much do you?" he said to her. He was a nice girl, plus he was cute. The only thing was Jessie was out of his age range. "Only If I was a little bit older." he whispered to himself. After a few they left then started going down another hall way. It was only a matter of time before he found out where he was heading this time. Just following her where ever she took us. That's all the boy did...Follow.

She paused as he asked her about her talking and shook her head. She pointed to the bird and smiled slightly, as if saying she spoke more to the animals than to people. She really didn't know where to lead him now, and so she came upon the front hall and sat down on one of the many couches with the celery in her hand.

"Sorry...I have trouble with words....sometimes"

The boy sat down right beside her. "It's ok, I got everything I needed today. Even though I didn't learn much I'm glad I meet you. My brother is coming here soon...please take care of him. His name is Chris." Walking away the boy open up a void. "Thanks for everything an one day soon we will meet again. Bye." After that the boy walked off into the void.
