Many years ago Xavier's school for gifted mutants was attacked. It was left in ruin. Teachers and students abandoned it with no hope of returning to it for sanctuary...

Years later a professor named Jason Andrews returned life to the school's halls and rebuilt its walls. Students have once again come to learn at the school in safety.

Many other mutants aren't quite so lucky. Some still remain hidden in the shadows and some within factions like the brotherhood are left leaderless.

.      Vitalè sat out by the lake, the moonlight bouncing off the waters. His violet eyes turning to a blood red, and gold reflections of what appeared to be a clock now shown through his eyes. With many of the student population in bed, or getting there he forced himself to brave the elements to reach the small terraformed location known as "Breakstone Lake". He found himself doing this more and more...sitting out...the edge of the lake alone.

"What I wouldn't give to have my reflection but one more time. To look through the pane of reflective glass and view into mine own eye once more. To see that there is still perhaps even a sliver of a soul left in this frozen husk of a creature they all call a man..." He said whistfuly to himself, the wind blowing gently enough to keep him from sitting in silence. He sighed as he brought a knee up, placing his forehead on it. This predicament he was in was almost more than he could bear any longer. How much longer did he need to search, to search the primordial sphere of earth to find that one wretched man who had ruined his life?

"Lo this does me know good. To sit and mourn over the inescapable past. No, no I will not carry on further. I shall instead return myself into my books and my studies..." He said, ending the quote before taking to his own natural smooth and warm voice with the Italian accent. "Well...my student's studies as it is."

She had been up here before, sneaking away at night for many weeks. Always in one animal form or another. But tonight was different. The air and clear moonlight brought out a special happiness in her movements as she padded up the path to the lake as she had done the other night and the night before that to get away from those who just didn't understand.

Her moments were swift, her black fur shinning beautifully with the moonlight as she reached the lake. Once there, her ears perked up, hearing a voice softly talking to himself. She stayed standing still for a moment before deciding to act upon her animalistic charms to the man ahead. She could smell the soft sadness off him as easily as anything else in this form. She meowed gently and padded over, rubbing her head underneath his arm and purred slightly.

Although she looked like a normal cat, as soon as her eyes looked up at him, they changed colors from a golden speckle to blue, as if trying to show soothing tones to jump from them. If a cat could smile, she was. She sniffed him gently and rubbed her body against him again, having heard everything he had said, and really didn't know how to respond. Times like this, she just went with the flow, there was no going back down, she was already out.

.   He was looking through his books, looking over certain "journal" entries that were mandatory with his class and the like. The motions were quite repetitive, but they were more than welcomed. It was repetition that bred a busy mind, one that would carry away all of his doubts...his fears....his regrets. He took in a breath of the crisp evening air, only for his vampiric senses to catch an unfamiliar scent and faintly hear the crinkling of grass under paw. The mewing of the cat beneath his arm as she brushed against him. Vitalè smiled and found it rather perplexing that a solitary creature such as a cat would find it's way to him. Something of chance to be sure.

He looked to the small creature her golden eyes having specks to the blue of the summer sky. He smiled, feeling the golden glow of the "clock" within his eye burn and sizzle, fading away into a deep and dark red. The red itself began to turn into a violet hue as he smiled at the little creature. He placed a hand upon the small and seemingly fragile creature, taking great care to cause her no harm. "It seems we are both a little blue, hm?" He asked, remarking about the shift in their eyes. He chuckled as he went to gently pick up the cat, being careful to move slowly and not startle it. He would hopefully take the little creature into his lap as he finished grading the last two journals.

"I wonder where you've come from, hm? You are surely not a stray, or else you have been doing quite remarkable for yourself. If you can bear with me but a few moments more I can give you my undivided attention little one. I simply need time to grade Mister...Hale's....Journal...thing." He said, taking the final journal from it. Not that he minded Mister Hale's creativity...but there were no lightsabers in the book Faust. He also would need to make note to inform Brandon that nowhere in the first act did anyone, by any means transform into a werewolf. He sighed as he looked at the journal in one hand as he was stroking the beautiful cat with the other.

She purred gently, listening softly to his words and almost laughed if she could. Her body rumbled in a chuckle like movement although unless really noticed, you would just think she was purring a bit louder for that second. She allowed him to pick her up, and meowed again softly, forgetting for a moment she couldn't communicate to him what she was in this form, but didn't mind in the least for the moment. She watched his eyes shift and licked her lips slightly, intrigued, and flexed out her right paw. The fur began to change colors for a split second to a spotted leopard coat before fading back to black as she relaxed. She closed her eyes for a second, and stretched the other foot out, getting quiet comfortable on his lap.

Who said you couldn't pretend to be something you weren't? She thought to herself as she sighed and decided to have a little fun after hearing him talk about the Journal. She had met that boy earlier. He was the one who had picked her up by her neck and at the sound of his name, a small hiss escaped her throat. She perked up, listening, and then decided to lay back down. Her fur, was now all yellow with black spots, changing as she listened to him, not even realizing she was doing so.

Vitalè placed noticed the change in the fur, not the first time around, but certainly the second time. He was also able to barely hear a hiss come form the small creature when he mentioned the name "Hale". The little animal and he would have to agree to disagree on that subject, but that was of little consequence. Vitalè had finished grading Brandon's journal, his mind rushing to try and put the pieces together as to how the child managed to even pass the first three grades. He sighed and looked down to the kitty, not specifically speaking out about the change made in it. Not yet, anyways.

"So now it's just you and me eh?" He asked the cat, a rhetorical question of course, Cat's did not often timed reply to English questions. He truly began to wonder why the cat had elected to come to him upon it's own accord. The poor creature obviously did not know that Vitalè was a vampire that fed not from humans. No, simply because the dark master of Italy changed his body...he refused to let it change his mind, his heart. Had he still his soul, then it was untouched as well. Vitalè instead opted to feed from synthetic blood, or from animals. While it tasted awful it at least provided him with a means to not turn into some old back-broken skeleton. Vitalè rarely drank form a house-hold animal, he opted instead to the avian and the rodent population...occasionally he'd feast upon another of his kin who sought to end the lives of humans within the city. Now he had a friendly cat it would seem.

"You truly are a fascinating creature you know?" Vitalè murmured to the cat as he pet it, not making any sudden movements that would startle the little beast. He watched as the spots returned and he chuckled slightly. "I'll bet you belong to the school here, hm? I don't often see such a well kept kitten that changes it's coat. Aren't we just full of surprises?" He asked the cat with a chuckle. He had seen far weirder things in his lifetime. He looked up tot he sky, the moonlight still shining down. A little tune came to mind, and he began to hum to it, looking down to the little creature in his lap. Perhaps it was hungry...or it very well could have been a vampire kitten. Not the Adult swim knock-offs, but a literal- oh no.

Vitalè's mind went racing, had he ever fed from a house cat before!? What if he accidentally did and turned it into a vampire, that would certainly explain why it seemed to just happen upon him and act in such a manner. He simply sighed and smiled as he began to pet the cat. He was ahead of himself, he was thinking in the worst case. Never before had he fed from something that he would not have had he been human. Perhaps that was just his way of clinging.... to what little humanity he had left...

The cat simply listened, allowing him to talk his mind to her, still finding it funny that he couldn't see through her disguise. She perked up at his words, and softly stretched her paws out. Soon, though, she began to smell the difference in him, noticing something off and stood up. Her tail went up and swished back and forth for a moment as her face looked into his, with almost human curiosity, an intelligence behind it. She lept off his lap and into the lake at that moment, swiftly, and began to tread the water, growing in size slightly before the fur on her body began to descend into human skin. the light was bright enough for him to see the bone structure change rapidly to a young woman's form, long black curly hair down her shoulders and into the water. Her face turned toward him once she finished changing, and smiled an almost goofy smile as she swam a bit closer to the waters edge.

She kept her body under the water to cover her nakedness, learning that she had been freaking too many people out with that one tiny detail in her shifting. Her eyes and teeth were the last to change. Her eyes shifted to human ovals, black as the night and her teeth, which were feline for a moment were now perfectly lined human.

"I couldn't hide any more.... Not fair of me..." She spoke softly, her voice still with a slight feline characteristic.

.     Vitalè looked on, all of his senses on edge, every part of his vampiric being telling him not to allow the creature to live, to end it's existence before it could move against him. Though Vitalè knew himself. He was true to himself. The vampiric nature was but a soft dimly lit candle to the vicious and harsh sun that was his retained humanity. As he always had, so shall he do now... he defied his very nature. He allowed the little transformation to occur, sitting there on his laid out cloak with his Victorian formal vest and jacket, all gold with silver lacing and elegant gold trim. Had he ben out around the town hunting his "kin" of the night, he would have had his masque and spiked gloves as well, though he still wore most of his estranged attire.

"Mio Dio! Signorina!" Vitalè raged in his native tongue as he stood up off of his cloak. Luckily he brought it as he took the very old silky thread cloth and brought it to himself. "Signorina, do not apologize, please come from the water, you will freeze! Here, to cover yourself dear." He said, voice racked with concern as he went about producing the cloak while he turned his head away. The poor girl was going to freeze if she stayed in the water at this time. True there was no snow, but the temperature was still not adequate for swimming!

She almost laughed at his response and quick movements as he stood up and grabbed his cloth for her. She crawled out of the waters edge and shook herself like a dog, not really feeling the weather until the wind picked up a bit. She walked toward him on her toes and took the cloth he offered without hesitation, her fingers touching his hand gently, warmly. She wrapped it around herself as her eyes looked up at him.

"Italian?" She asked, still with the feline tone in her throat, although now it was becoming more human in its strength. She purred slightly, her nails shifting back to normal human nails and not the sharp claws they were moments ago. She tapped him lightly as to tell him he could turn, not afraid of being seen without her clothing, but she knew to respect the ways of others. She could smell he was older than he appeared, but said nothing. She looked his age now that all the fur and animal features had vanished from her human form.

"Not very cold....But... thank you." She said now more confidently, putting the words together as best she could as if trying not to speak like an animal.

She had tapped his shoulder to alert him to turn around. It was not out of custom that he turned his head, rather it was more out of respect for the lady. She did not seem to be... educated...to the current customs. Vitalè on the other hand, at least remained with society, moving places and changing names so he was well adapted to the times. This woman had wraped herself up and he smiled as he stood up and faced her eye to eye. Despite the lack of "cultural awareness", so to speak, she certainly picked up to his Italian easily. Then gain it wasn't hard to do so...he talked with his hands and had an accent potent enough to be the pasta sauce itself.

"Indeed Miss. Italian. I...am glad to see that you are not cold." He stated as he shifted the cloak a little placing the hood up to prevent the heat from escaping from her head. He did this because seventy percent of the heat in your body is lost through your head, and even if she was not cold, that did not mean she could not become cold. He sighed as he looked about. In his haste to give the woman his cloak he had inadvertently sent student's journals flying everywhere, losing the notes he had stickered in them. He simply looked at it a moment. Thankfully Vampires move a bit faster than human means, and so picking them up was no issue, the issue itself lay in having to re-sticker the notes of whose notes were in whose journals.

"Looks...like Mister Hale is going to be getting an A...even...with the...lightsabers." He said with a little chuckle. He was NOT going through those right now again, he would simply tell the students that their notebooks were eaten by werewolves. That should keep Mister Hale distracted long enough for him to re-write the ten sticky notes he had on the first page. He turned back to the woman and smiled slightly. "You are sure you are okay Miss?" He asked her, still concerned for her well being at this point.

...why was there never anyone sane in a place like this?

She watched his movements with ease, not frightened at all except when he moved the hood on her. She pulled back slightly, startled, but let it happen. She seemed curious by his movements, watching them like a cat who watches birds playing in a puddle. Almost hunting like, studying every movement he made to gather the things he had dropped and felt bad.

She knelt down by one of the journal pages that had landed by her bare feet, and picked it up, seeing something about a light saber on the page and held it out to him with an amused look on her pale face. If he had looked close at it, her could see small fragments of fur sticking out of her pours every few seconds as if keeping her warm. It was very small movements that only someone studying her face could spot, but it was enough to show she really wasn't cold as she pulled one of her arms out of the cloak and licked it for a second.

It was almost like a habit, and she paused, realizing she had just done this and turned red. Her entire body turned around at that moment as she cleared her throat and tucked her arm back in. She wasn't used to drying off this way, but she also had never had someone offer clothing to her after she surprised them with her change.

"Yes... I'm fine... sorry about that....I forget I'm human sometimes....." She spoke gently as she turned back around, regaining her sense of where she was. She closed her eyes gently and breathed in the night air and held the page out again for him to take.

"I sensed sorrow....before....Should ask if you are okay...." She said after another pause of a moment. Her eyes opened and were now shinning in the moonlight with a cat like reflection that nighttime animals possessed as if she was trying to see better in the darkness.

So the woman had come to check up on him? That was a kind gesture of course, though not nearly as much of a relief as knowing that he had not caused created a vampire kitten. He sighed, but smiled as if there were no consequence to what he had been reflecting upon earlier. In truth it was nothing more than the musings of an old soul lost in the maelstrom of emotions. This young woman before him did not help matters, though that was more in surprise than raw emotions such as misery. He cleared his throat and waved his hand. She offered out the paper and he took it with a mutter of "thank you" as his tone picked up a little more chipper, knowing he had finally collected the last piece of Mister Hales latest...."masterpiece" now he was able to give the woman his attentions.

"Again, do not be sorry. It is I who am sorry, had I known you were human I'd not have treated you like a stray cat, for that I apologize Signorina." He said with a smile, he listened to her speak about sensing his sorrow. He immediately attributed this to her ability to shift with animals. Were it only that he could mask the smell that came with emotion.

"You could smell it, truly? Fascinating. You my dear have a very talented nose then." He chuckled, though internally confusion raged through him clawing at the walls. Animals smelling emotion is based upon the hormonal concoctions secreted through the pores. The confusion was born form the fact that Vitalè was dead. His body does not secret such hormones or become "active" until he feeds and for a short time after. Perhaps she was truly just a remarkable young shape-shifter. He placed a hand on her shoulder and he smiled, nodding. "Signorina, I deeply appreciate it, but I can assure you that I am as close to "okay" as I have ever been." He said, he noticed that her eyes still kept their feline composure but with shimmering blue eyes in the moonlight.

"You happen here frequently? I've not seen you here before...lest you're new to the institute?" He asked her, quickly fixing the glasses upon his face.

As she listened to him, her smile grew slightly, liking the tone of his voice, almost like it was soothing her. She almost seemed to dance with his voice when he spoke with her eyes as she listened, and a small frisky smile appeared when he complimented her sense of smell. He was a flattering man indeed, not many had been so kind to her antics since she had revealed herself more often now, and not usually at the best of times.

When he assured her he was fine, she nodded. Her eyes shifted back to human form, pitch black, but still kept a slight feline glow to make her able to see him clearer in the already clear night as she began to walk a tiny bit toward him and purred slightly in her response. It wasn't on purpose, but more of the way he was speaking to her and the scent her gave, she couldn't seem to help it/

"I have been here... very long... but not in... this form......" She said and smiled, with a somewhat flirtatious look. The scent he was giving off was electric, and she couldn't seem to help herself. It was clear something about him was bringing some type of personality out of her, she was relaxed which was something she hadn't felt in some time.

"I am, Jessie...." She spoke softly, the purr escaping her lips unexpectedly as she turned her face away, realizing that she was finding herself more intrigued with him than she had orignally now that she was in her true form.

So she's been here long, though admitted as not in this form. It explains why the creature had never been observed by Vitalè. He was interested that she was choosing to smile the way she did. Vitalè had been long out of the dating concept, especially with certain wounds so fresh... not that he noticed that she was smiling at him flirtatiously. He had simply written it off as if there was something on his face. He brought his hands down over his face and his goatee to ensure there was nothing worth laughing at, but her smile still persisted. Such a strange girl she was.

"Vitalè... Professor Vitalè Muraro, at your service." He said, introducing himself as he always did. He took her hand and kissed it before allowing it to leave his grasps. He looked over towards the school with a deep breath in. His suspicion of tonight's event were already making him rather cautious. His nose was ever the more vigilant to smell the wretched stench of Giovanni. Perhaps this woman was truly a gift of simple chance. He extended his arm to a path before them, a small trail that led around the lake. "Well...I did promise you my undivided attention, did I not? Shall we walk, or perhaps you have something you'd rather do?" He asked with a smile, he was a man of his word if nothing else. He dropped his arm and placed them behind his back, locking his fingers behind him as he continued to grant he shape-shifter his attention.

Though...he found himself studying the young woman's face. Many of her features reminded him...of someone else he knew and once even grew to love. Granted the woman seemed to share slight appearance similarities, this one had a personality that seemed to be one of her own, it made him smile a little. Though he did notice something most... interesting. Vampiric sensory was indeed a blessing at times, his superior sight allowed him to see small follicles of hair protruding and receding from her pores. No wonder she wasn't cold, such movements were bound to help heat retention.

She nodded as he introduced himself, but was caught off guard as he held her hand and kissed it, almost as if it was something unrecognizable to her. Her face actually turned red for a moment, a blush. Something she never had done in any form of hers for years. She simply shook her head slightly to get the red out of her face and smiled.

"Today is a nice....night to walk." She seemed to be happy around the man, almost as if something about him was relaxing her baser instinct and she just couldn't understand what it was. She began to walk ahead of him toward the path he had extended to her, and grinned underneath the darkness in front of her. She couldn't help but find herself intrigued to want to be around him this night as if it was a purposeful meeting of sorts.

"Professor..... You teach the young..... here?" She asked, even though she knew the answer. It was almost as if she just wanted to hear his pleasant soothing voice more and more. Her voice still had the seductive purr in it, unconsciously.

"A walk it is then." Vitalè said with a rather upbeat tone. Walking was rather tranquil for him. Unlike most of the other dead things in this world, he was able to do something other than just lay as stiff as a board. With his bag over his shoulder, he began to walk with the young woman. He heard her ask if he taught the young here. He chuckled as he looked to the ground, looking up and nodding to the young woman.

"Yes, I teach Literature here. Though I feel more as if it is creative writing at times." He mused aloud, recalling Brandon's journal. He couldn't let it go for some reason...he was fascinated as to how Lightsabers and werewolves ended up in Faust. If it was truly a lack of intelligence it was indeed superhuman. "So tell me miss. What does a lovely visage of a woman such as yourself doing here? I have not seen you at any staff meetings...are you...visiting someone?" He asked her. His jaw clenched slightly, he removed his glasses and cleared his throat. This woman brought back enough memories to turn his nostalgia at the lake into a dim-lit candle to the burning sun above...well not at this moment. It was till under the cloak of darkness this meeting happened.

She slowed her walking as they began their trek, sliding next to him gently, the cloak still around her naked body covering her well. Her hair was dry now as if she was never in the water to begin with. She listened to the soothing words that came out of him, and just couldn't seem to get enough. Nothing had ever drawn her to someone like this before, but she didn't seem to mind it. Her extra senses told her something was off, but she put it behind her. If he was a danger, she could just fly away if she needed to.

"I live...here..... No where to be...." She spoke gently. Her words even though they came out normal seemed to be a slight struggle for her to put into a complete sentence. She paused for a moment in their walk and turned toward him as if to look up and at his face for a moment. She studied his features when he removed his sunglasses, her eyes locked with his as she seemed to look into his soul before a small smile crept onto her frail face.

"I know....not many..... I come here to....speak with....the others." She said, trying to get the right words out as a few bats flew over head as if she had called them. They squeaked overhead before one landed on her shoulder to which she smiled brightly and nuzzled it. the small creature took off a second later with the rest of its group as she looked back to the man before her.

"They understand....me......more" She said with the seductive purr back into her voice. It seemed to be a tick in a way now every time she looked up at him. Something about him just made it happen, and so once more her face blushed before it became pale again.

So she could commune with the animal kingdom it would seem. That power had to be a rather interesting one to have. What kinds of things would animals say, and while this was indeed an idea that captured his mind, he was simply compelled to leave the thought for the moment and return to the current ordeal. A bat landed upon her shoulder and nuzzled her. Vitalè could only chuckle with eyes lighting up like a Christmas tree. He extended a hand and the bat went to him like a moth to the flame, giving him the same affection he had given the woman before simply returning to her. Vitalè could understand, while he was technically "kin" to the creature and knew of its wants... it was always more interesting to find an abnormal creature whom could communicate with them.

"They enjoy you too it seems Signorina" Vitalè let a chuckle escape him as he continued to walk with her. He noticed her face turn a bright red, and had he the proper blood flow coursing through him, he would likely have reciprocated the color rush. He continued to walk with the cat-woman, the bat seeming to be content. He assumed it would perch there a while, but he would not allow it to stay for too long...he had ways of convincing the creature to leave if need be. There was something about the purr in her voice... Vitalè hadn't noticed it before, but then again maybe he just attributed it to her being a shape shifter. He smiled at her with a questioning look, an eyebrow up as he scanned her face, looking for features to explain more about her.

"So, Signorina..." He began, he turned to face forward, continuing on the path, he licked his lips as he tried to create the question within his head. A way to perhaps phrase something without being take too far on an accidental chance. "I cannot help but notice the purring. Is this simply because you spend much time as a cat?" He asked her finally. He cleared his own throat as he continued to smile, wondering how log she had been a cat. Not that it bothered him too much, but her English was not seamlss. He felt bad for here....to be so isolated form society. Then again, there was a kindred spirit in that.

As they kept walking, the bat soon took off and vanished to give them space. Her smile seemed to stay glued upon her face. She was enjoying this night much more than she thought she would in another persons company and not that of an animals. As he talked to her gently, she noticed the purr in her voice just as he mentioned that she had it and froze. Her brows creased in thought, almost embarrassment-like, as she looked down and blushed once again.

"I did not know...I was doing....it...." She spoke softly, the purr now gone from her voice as she thought the words out. She avoided his gaze as the same time, but soon found herself looking right back at his face.

"Before, here.... lived as one in city......Was easier......But something about you...makes me want to tell more....." She had stopped walking at this point and faced herself directly in front of the man. Her face seemed to glow in the moonlight now at the way she placed herself. Her eyes gazed up and into his, shifting to a beautiful green field color. Her entire body language seemed to change suddenly as she did this, almost seductive like, unconsciously. It may have been the scent he gave with his vampire-ness, but what ever it was, it was taking a hold of her and she didn't seem to want to fight it.

"I like you..... Something about you..... I can't put my claw on it.......Never felt so.........talkative before....." She spoke softly. She smiled a gentle smile and turned herself away again. Her feet began to move forward a bit, but not much so they could keep their hike going. She wasn't going to go anywhere.

Vitalè listened intently as he smiled, hearing of her life before. A city apparently, and from what he could gather things went quite well for her. He smiled trying to imagine the poor feline woman in a civilization such as the human's. She went on about how something about him in particular made her desire to tell him more. He would certainly not object to a good story mind you, but he felt the need to be wary. He stopped with her strides, and looked into her eyes noticing her shift in color. That was a rather...interesting color. Though he was partial to the brown eyes himself, but her were still rather...entrancing in their own right. He could only smile as he looked to the ground for a moment.

"Well I will always be here to listen." Was all he could say. He felt nearly obligated to share some of his own history with her, but it was difficult to simply 'bypass' the secret vampirism. His "Jux" (as he so fondly called it) was successful in allowing him to copy the human benefits for survival and secretive existence, even going as far as to make him smell like a normal human, save for a slight "vintage" smell and the pheromone secretion that seemed to emmit from him, though when he spoke about his history it was difficult to hide his new... "existence".

His true fear was having to explain what he was. How does one man, a "Christian" admit to being a blood-thirsty creature of darkness and despair. How does a man even have the dignity to still call himself such, when all of his being craves for nothing more than the destruction and dismemberment of another living human...just for the blood they provide. In his existence he was no longer a man...he was a monster. A child of the night. Though it was as he always told himself. "I may be a creature of Darkness, but I am the darkness that stands behind the light. Let me be the shadow cast, that I may still exist but serve a brighter future than that of myself. May I be the shadow...a darkness that stands BECAUSE of the light. May the day the light is snuffed out...may I be the whisp of the dying shadow...so the darkness may never claim me for its own." He said, seemingly in response to her speech about how she was making him talkative. Perhaps that's the decided to be a teacher...even as a vampire he kindled the light by inspiring the young brilliant minds of the upcoming generation. He froze up slightly and cleared his throat. How was he supposed to explain THIS one.

"That was a quote from a book I had to read at University. I was simply trying to be as talkative as you. But you're a little more interesting than myself. I just did not wish to be rude." He chuckled as he his face lit up like a Christmas tree. That was potentially the greatest save he had ever constructed.

She listened to his words, as he went on in a poetic type of rant about darkness.  Her head tilted at the words as they poured from his mouth so smoothly and alluringly.  When he spoke his small speech, she gave him her full attention, facing him and not walking.  Her face seemed to light up listening to him speak.  It was music to her ears in a way for she had a love of literature even if she didn't read as much as she did as a child.  Even though she barely spoke full sentences, it was clear she was enjoying his company and words.

"That was beautiful."  She said in one perfect sentence.  There was no pause in it like before when he finished.  When he said he was quoted it from a book however, her smile faded slightly, but still stayed there.

"You are not...rude.  You are different..... Like me."  She said simply with a purr at the end and grinned slightly as her hands extended outside the cloak.  Her nails still human for the moment gripped the outside of the cloak and she looked up at him, almost teasing for a moment.

"You can have this back..... I don't really need it."  She said to him breaking the tension building between them.  It was clear she was not ashamed to be without clothing outside here, and if anything she could just change into another animal.  Her right hand grabbed his at that moment as the other kept the cloak closed and she rubbed his knuckle softly.

"What is your gift.... Vita..lee?"  She asked, trying to pronounce his name as best she could with an Italian accent.  She didn't mean to butcher his name, but to say it right, almost flirting in a way.

The woman enjoyed his words apparently. She was none the wiser...he hoped. She meant on to explain that she didn't think of him as rude, simply different. He smiled, mostly because she was more accurate than even he knew. She then basically de-cloaked herself in order to return the "loaned" property to its owner. Vitalè was hesitant to take the robe back, but it was as she wanted... "If you insist Regazza" He said a forced happiness in his voice.

He took the cloak back but as he did she asked him a dreaded question. She asked him what his "gift" was. He immediately recoiled, remembering Giovanni himself harping on and on about how this was a "dark Gift" from Nyx or whatever. Vitalè groaned slightly, turning it into a cough, a throat clearing one. He despised it when people called it a gift...though she knew not what she did. He calmed himself and smiled.

"I have a power I like to call "JUX". It allows me to copy beneficial traits. For example...erm. Transform into an animal, if you would please. I will demonstrate it, if you'd like." He offered up, clearing his throat and cracking his neck with a quick exhale. He was left to wonder...what manner of creature would she transform into?

Jessie nodded as he took the cloak back, not afraid to be without clothing around him.  She actually felt free-er this way, more in-tune to her surroundings.  Her long hair covered her breasts perfectly and the darkness covered the rest so it was almost as if she did have clothing on.

"Please, show... I would love to see.  We can be feline together." She spoke softly.  She sniffed him again though, knowing there was something else he wasn't telling her and frowned for a moment.  It may of been the way he reacted when she asked but she didn't want to pry just yet.  That was until he explained a bit more that she finally asked.  It was the groan that he tried to hide as a cough.

"You are not telling me something..... You have another.... you are afraid to tell?  Yes?"  She asked suddenly, as if she could smell it off him.  She circled him slightly, and leaned in, as if to listen to him and noticed something she did not before.  She paused, her eyes widened a bit before a silly grin came upon her face.

"You have no heart beat.... That is....very amazing....part of your JUX?"  She asked with a purr.  She wanted him to tell her, not for her to guess.  She didn't seem afraid at all, in fact she was fascinated by it.  It seemed nothing he could tell her would scare her away no matter what.  She grinned a feline toothy grin, ready to change with him if he were to go into a feline form.

She suddenly mentioned it. His lack of heartbeat. That was in fact a benefit, so his Jux WAS able to pick up for it and take the benefit. He smirked at her. He nodded and held up a finger, he cleared his throat and stepped back. "I have no heart beat? Are you sure about that?" He asked, walking forward and removing the heavy vest and some of the frilled shirt. His heartbeat was VERY weak, and nearly inaudible to his own superhuman hearing...so it was easily mistakable for a heart condition. "My JUX has... accidentally given me so not so good side effects. The heart issues and such. But eh... I think I'll leave you in the dark on that one. If I told you all my secrets there wouldn't be any mystery in it, no?" He posed, playing off his mysterious "weak heart" and such.

"Now remember...I may not be able to take the full form of a feline such as you...I can only take the benefits...for the most part." He said with a grin. Stepped back a little more, giving her room. "The lady first" He said with a little bow, waiting to see what form of Feline she would become so he could copy the traits, wanting to be done with the silly "power" game he was playing. Though she was indeed new, and friendly enough. He was enjoying himself well enough too...though the unclothed woman part made him very edgy to say the least.

She listened again when he removed the vest and nodded, a small smile on her face.  She brought the bait and backed up a small amount.

"Mysteries are what make.....things more exciting...."  She said with a seductive purr and slowly knelt down, her bones began to change swiftly, quicker than before.  Fur jutted from her body, orange, white and black.  She grew in size as whiskers popped out of her cheeks and soon large cat paws appeared.  She was taking on the form of a Siberian tiger.  Her face grew in size and soon the change was complete, finishing with her eyes taking on beautiful blue cat jades.

She let out a large growl to assert she was done and lifted her long tail up in excitement.  Slowly she walked toward him.  Her face seemed to study him as she rubbed her entire feline body against him affectionately.  She sat down beside him, and looked up to watch him perform.  The eyes were so human like even though they clearly were that of a cats.  She was beautiful in this form.

As a Vampire it was difficult to find things that were more "beneficial" than the body he was currently constructed of. The woman was kind enough to take the form of a rather interesting cat. One that made him smile instinctively. She picked something perfect for him...or in his opinion truthfully. His slightly dark skin began to pales as he looked at the cat.

His pitch black hair began to "bleed" as it were, and turned into stripes while his fingers began to plump and grow a black padding beneath them, his nails now growing longer and filling in as black claws his ears stuck out a little more and his legs became a little more muscular. He let out a feline like growl as he began to pace, a tiger like tail slipping out from his formal pin striped pants. His shoulder positioning shifted and he fell forward, starting to bore fangs similar, his face altering slightly as his beard turned into a full out mane that covered his face. He began prowling about on all fours, pushing up onto his hind legs, his dress shoes split open and his vest tore, his JUX had finally taken full effect, giving him more of a Were-Sib-Tiger than the tiger itself, but he still wasn't quite human...well, humanish. He growled and looked down to his shoes and snarled at them, the ferality of the tiger grappling for his sanity.

Within the mind of the Vampire teacher he stood there on the right there was a large white tiger, menacing, pacing back and forth as it lowered it's shoulders...near ready to pounce. To the left...a dark, shadow cloaked version of himself, glowing red eyes, blood down the corner of his mouth with a sinister smile. He forced his eyes shut, the cat let out the loud reverbed-roar as it fell to the ground, the body reforming to that of the normal Vitalè. All he could do was groan and writhe around in pain. HE had just made a very dire mistake...
