Current plot
Many years ago Xavier's school for gifted mutants was attacked. It was left in ruin. Teachers and students abandoned it with no hope of returning to it for sanctuary...

Years later a professor named Jason Andrews returned life to the school's halls and rebuilt its walls. Students have once again come to learn at the school in safety.

Many other mutants aren't quite so lucky. Some still remain hidden in the shadows and some within factions like the brotherhood are left leaderless.

Logan waited behind his desk for his students, it was around 12:08 before anyone started to show up. Slowly his class filled, students coming in by twos and threes friends picking to sit with friends and so on. A light and playful smile shadowed across Logan's face, as he thought to himself who fun his time here was going to be. Logan stood and walked to the chalk board, he turned his back to the students and selected a long bit of chalk and in thin script handwriting he started to write on the board. "Mr. Grimm," he wrote across the top of the board before moving on to the next bit, "If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle." As he finished he sat his chalk down and turned facing the class waiting quietly for everyone to find there seats and settle down.

Valerie was among the first to walk into class. She was never late, but she was never seen either. She was a shadow among people. No one looked her way, and she did nothing to be noticed either, so no one knew about her. Who she was, what she wanted, and especially, what was going on about her.
Valerie had always been the silent girl, that no one had an idea of. Some people started spreading rumours that she wasn't even a mutant, since they had never seen her powers. Only she knew about her Song that could allure everyone, even animals, and her crystals. Her only friends.

Quietly, she took a seat on the front, placing her books on her desk before turning her attention to the Professor. Her eyes followed his movements, reading what he was writing down, then going back to looking at her books. She didn't know what to do, so she decided that being silent was the best for now.
