The blonde girl's confused look was met with an equally confused look as Kelly glanced up at the sound of the smaller voice; causing the Fat Red Bird to fly straight up, landing uselessly on nothing.
"Dammit! That's the highest score I ever had!"
Kas whined, before noticing Natasha's problem. This made him smile.
"I think that's the least of your issues at the moment, kid sister."
Getting up to close the door quietly, Kas put the phone in Natasha's lap. As the screen blinked off, the face of the device was notably reflective.
"We should get out of here before the nurses come back. They might report you missing once they realize the room is empty, but that's okay, since I didn't give them your real name anyway."
Laying down the law as the supposed adult in the room, Kas looked out the window before unlocking and opening it, letting in the freezing night air.
"Chances are no one will remember a thing, with all of the chaos going on around here."
New Years Eve, every hospital was overrun with emergencies.
Kas watched the door as he switched off the light, then the monitoring machines. He stopped beside Natasha, taking her tiny wrist and turning it over.
No warning at all, he yanked the taped-on intravenous needle out. Fortunately it was so quickly done that it was easy to get over the sting.
Rubbing her arm for a second, he dried off the few drips of blood that escaped. Something like that couldn't be left behind.
"Don't take offense or anything, but I don't think you could be very fast right now."
There wasn't alot of room for Natasha to object being picked up and carried away. Once they squeezed out of the window, it was a clear blanket of snow between them and the silver sports car.
"Does this sorta thing happen often?" Kelly inquired with a laugh as they fled. He really liked the part of busting his friends out of the hospital. Even if he was the one who took them there.
