Rain pelted down on all sides as Alchemy climbed from the cab, it had been raining the day she left for college and it was raining the day she returned. She missed her father terribly, they had a falling out before she left and four years was the longest she'd ever gone without speaking to him. She still sent him letters and pictures of the places she'd gone and he claimed things were right again but still. She wouldn't accept it was until she saw his face.

Pulling her suitcase behind her she walked up the path to the front door, levitating the heavy thing to the porch she rang the doorbell and waited...

The sound of heavy machinery running ran around the island nation of Genosha, as fast as the wind itself. Mutants worked on rebuilding the communications tower, as Magnus oversaw the operations. He aided the mutants who lived by his code by simply waving his hands around. What to them was extremely tiring, to him was mere child's play. He dropped a big metal rod, and a sphere afterwards, and two mutants put them together, making an array. They liked seemingly doing some work, and Erik allowed them to. Placing the array above the tower, he ordered the rest of the mutants to turn on the power, and check the water tanks that provided Genosha its renewed rivers and the water the mutants so deserved. Soon, Blink appeared next to Magneto, placing a hand on his shoulder, "Alchemy is here," she said, and Magneto nodded, as she toke them away. Appearing over his daughter, he hovered down slowly, his cape kingly riding with the wind, as his boots stomped the floor with comeliness. "Hello, my daughter," he greeted her, his helmet shadowing his face.

Alchemy turned and though she was nervous to see him she smiled broadly "Father" she said she let go of her suitcase and rushed over to him hugging him tightly not caring they weren't alone. "I'm so sorry i've been gone so long" she murmured into his shoulder. His scent had made her feel safe since the first day he found her bleeding on the floor of the lab.

He didn't move, and simply stood, when Alchemy hugged him. Motionless as a boulder, being hit by the ocean. He had missed his adoptive daughter dearly, maybe more than what she had missed him, but they were not alone. He had to show superiority, since his community was just starting to be reborn from the ashes. "You have your studies, and it's good you're not around. I don't want any of these rogue mutants eyeing my daughter. Although I toke them in, I'm always skeptical about some of them," he said, before tilting his head to his left, where Blink stood. He nodded slowly, and she nodded back, disappearing with a pop. "Have you met many people?" he asked, as he toke her hand, kissing it with his puckered lips, as he lead her to the door.

She frowned slightly when he didn't hug her or return her affection she knew this version of her father. Something was happening, she knew that much. "I did" she said following him into the house, she used her powers to send the suitcase up stairs where it landed gently in front of her room. "Father you know i take no interest in those rogues, i'd sooner kill them before letting them gawk at me though i feel that is something you were trying to avoid" she chuckled darkly as she turned to look at him "whats going on here Dad" she said bluntly "your back in leader mode, i thought you were retired from the cause"

Magneto shook his head as his daughter spoke, the double doors behind them closing rapidly. They were made of metal after all. Looking down on his daughter, he felt a tad bit disappointed, as she figured he had let the cause go, "The cause runs in my veins. It's the only thing that drives me to live. Take a tip from your sister Wanda and your brother Pietro, and understand the cause will never cease to exist in my system. You sound too much like Lorna," he whispered, sighing with tiredness and exhaustion. He was tired of explaining how what he had fought for, for over fifty years, still made sense and had to be carried out by someone. "New forces are growing, and I cannot simply sit around and die, while the Alliance of Evil is out there," he snarled, his tone leveling her due to him just even mentioning the Alliance.

Alchemy smiled at him "Unlike my siblings I am glad to hear your back at the helm father" she said "they are like there mothers. I am more like you, I understand the cause more then they do. and I actually believe in it" she reminded him "So the rumors are true then, the alliance is up to something" she said as she walked into the kitchen "let me guess you think i am to young to help you too fragile yadda yadda yadda" she said quoting part of there last argument as she started the kettle to make them some tea.

The palace trembled as Erik spoke, "Wanda and Pietro are nothing like their mother," he replied, quickly following her, "If I thought that, you wouldn't be in college right now. You'd be stuck here. With a collar on you, like I did to Lorna before," he reminded her, "You are not too young, but you will not help. You will not set foot anywhere else in Genosha. This is where you can be, unless you're with me. Until the time you leave, I do not want to see you anywhere else," he snarled, summoning a small knife. With a snap of his fingers it broke in several pieces, as Magneto turned on his heel, so he did not have to get enraged.

"Go ahead" she said to him following him into the hall she stopped where she stood "put a collar on my neck dad. make me as subservient as the rest, see how far it gets you. You know as well as I do you could never trap me." her knuckles popped as she currled her hands into fists.

She turned grabbing her coat from the chair she shrugged into it and turned off the stove "I dont even know why i came home" she muttered as she headed for the door.

"You leave through that door, you leave my life, Alchemy. I've told you I don't much enjoy you speaking of things you don't know, especially not when it comes to our family. So go ahead. Leave. Get your own home, and stop being grateful to the one who saved you from further suffering at the hands of the men who mistreat both us," he growled, the doors in front of her not even budging as he held them shut. If Alchemy did leave the house, she should be wise and the leave the island as well, otherwise, she'd be hunted for her whole time there. And she wasn't exactly facing mutants like Morlocks. These were powerful elites. "Go," he yelled.

She swallowed hard and turned to him her blue eyes were cold but hurt "I wont leave" she said softly "we both know my place is here by your side. no where else" she ran a hand through her long blonde hair and shook her head "I'm sorry for what i said"

As she turned back to him, Erik let his eyes regain an old state. They turned cold, and icy like they were when he was younger and filled with rage. He passed by her, not giving out a word, as he approached the door. Pushing it open with a finger, he finally let out a word, "Thought so," he grumbled, as he let the doors open for her to leave the house, and go with him. He awaited for her outside, facing the ocean as he waited.

She followed him out the double doors with a sigh "Am i allowed to leave the island as long as i come back?" she asked crossing her arms as she joined him.

"Depends on where you're going," he stated bitterly, as he began to hover above his daughter, and slowly made his way to the communication tower. Alchemy knew her way around the air with her telekinesis, so Magneto wasn't gonna stay on the ground waiting for her. He was glad she had begun listening to him, as even she knew when Magneto was not joking. Wanda, Lorna and Pietro all backed down when similar things happened to them as well, so Magneto expected that from Alchemy. He knew she was different from her adoptive siblings,  but how different could she truly be. I need a drink, he thought with a shake of his head.

With a light step forward she was in the air following him, the island though once destroyed was still beautiful. "To new york" she said "I've made some friends there and I bartend once in awhile. When i am not needed here i'd like to be able to move between both places"

"I'll allow you to go, if you promise me you'll stay out of harm's way. If I find out you have relations with the wrong people, you'll be in trouble," he warned her. Of course, he was just worried. Worried that Alchemy would eventually run into someone from the brotherhood, or the Alliance of Evil. He knew she knew better than to ally herself with the Brotherhood, but the Alliance of Evil...his daughter's profile fit the group too perfectly. And Archard had a way with women, although Alchemy didn't get fooled that easily, Magneto was very aware she enjoyed violence. Archard excelled at that.

Alchemy flipped forward and stopped in front of her father hovering on the spot "I'll be fine dad" she said her voice soft they were high enough off the ground they could not be seen "you trained me after all"

"And that's what I fear," he sighed as he lead the way, "That your training wasn't enough," he sighed heavily. He was truly frightened by the idea of Alchemy getting into true trouble like she had never gotten into before. Calling a ball of metal, Erik turned it into a triangle with a snap of his fingers as they kept hovering up to the Communications center. As a younger child, when Magneto brought Alchemy there on vacations, she'd spend her time getting relaxed. He, however, spend his time reliving old memories.
