After the incident at the MRD Loika was broken. Mackenzie's smiling face, her baby like voice, seeing her dead. It all melted together with Peter. Every touch, every kiss. After doing what needed to be done she ran. She couldnt go back to their house. Not now at least. She couldnt face jason. DAMMIT I CANT EVEN GET THE IMAGES OUT. I CANT FOLLOW THEM. She screamed in her head as she ran.

She was the cause of many police call ins and reports. A massive wolf running through new york was not something normal. She caused a police horse to bolt in central park, numerous car accidents, was hit by a bus that of course couldnt kill her. The damn thing didnt even numb the pain. She felt everything and nothing all at the same time. She had one place in mind. Back to where it all began. Back to Canada. If logan had never sent her to the school peter would still be alive. Peter. His smiling face appeared in her head and she forced herself to run faster to leave new york behind.

Jason sighted deeply as he leaned against a wall, looking out the window. What happened that day could have been avoided, but Peter decided to take on Scarlett himself and ultimately paid the price. But that was way beside the point, like his daughter he didn't deserve to die, he was still so young and had entire life ahead of him. "Damn," muttered Jason as he looked down and shook his head, to keep himself from remembering and hold back the tears which fought so hard to come to surface. His room was still as messy as he left it and some of his stuff was never moved yet.

Loika Faelith's whereabouts were unknown, Jason didn't want to bother her.
Anyone who has lost so much in one day, he couldn't help her. Well, he could, but it would come at great price which the present must pay for it. And he couldn't do that. He couldn't risk lives of millions, for one person. One person, Jason knew very well and wished would have never died. He wanted to forget that day, but it was forever seared into his memory.

Mackie had taken some hard blows to the head both from a bullet and from the beating she had taken before death. Her mind was powerful and knew it had to protect itself. Now she was somewhere in her own mind. She and daddy's bodies were on tables in the med bay. Would anyone know her condition before it was too late? Her powers hadn't been working right since she had been shot but she had to try. She pulled in as much strength as she could and tried using her mind "mo-my? Daddy?j-s-n?" her voice came through like a rough signal from a radio.

Jason couldn't help but wonder what Loika was up to. What did running away has ever achieved for her only the fact that she was never going to forget. No matter how far and how fast she ran, the past has always been able to catch up with its present. Everyone was fighting way too hard to forget. He knew that better than anyone, having to loose Helen so soon and so fast, Jason didn't know whom to turn for help. A man who could usually resolve his own problems, now needed help of someone else to forget. Pathetic.

He walked over to his desk and picked up his clear glass with scotch in it. Just before he could put the glass to his lips, Jason heard faint voice in his head. Probably just memories playing trick on him. Then it called for mommy and daddy. It couldn't be. He was finally going crazy. "NO!" yelled Jason at the empty office room. "NO, you will NOT do this me!" his heart began to race faster and faster at the memory of his friends. His wife. He couldn't forget that day. It was way too painful. It hurt. But Jason didn't know how to erase that pain from his heart. Life was never going to be the same ever again.

Jason's voice hurt in her head. It was so loud and he sounded so mad...or upset? She was a little scared because she couldnt move either. The only thing she knew for sure was her powers weren't working right and she was having a very bad feeling something bad was coming. "j-and. Please don't y-e it s-res me. Help-e please."

Sara took the passing of Peter and Mackenzie hard. Loika's absence was almost like loosing her too. It was like loosing her children. She was up a little later than usual. She got up and went to look for Jason. She found him in his office and gasped. He looked like he was having a meltdown. " Oh my god jason are you ok!? Its ok im here im here." She rushed over to him and hugged him close.

Jason set his glass on a table, as he looked around to only realize he was talking to an empty room. He was indeed loosing it, everyone has left and there was nothing Jason could do to bring any of them back. He felt helpless. Sighting heavily, Jason took a seat at this desk and looked at the door. His eyes looked like he was about to break in tears any moment. A person who had so much to live for, was breaking down over death of two people. The only two people that have ever gotten into his heart.

"j-and. Please don't y-e it s-res me. Help-e please."
"Shut up  voices," said Jason, quietly as he reached for another glass of scotch. "just shut up,"
At that moment, Sara walked into the office, surely the death o Peter and Mackie didn't come easy, but at least she was dealing with it much better then Jason was at the moment.
Oh my god Jason...are you ok? It's ok I'm here, I'm here."
As Sara wrapped her loving arms around him, Jason finally broke down in tears. It was so hard to fight them, it was so hard to contain them inside his mind.
"It hurts, Sara." said Jason , weeping into her shoulder. "It hurts so bad. Why does it hurt so much?"

Sara hugged Jason tighly and kissed the top of his head. Her heart was breaking right along with his. " We have lost our children Jason. Its ok to hurt. Im here with you honey." She whispered to him soothingly as she held him. She too cried for them but silently. It killed her to see jason breaking apart so hard and not be able to do anything about it.

Loika didnt stop running for hours since the incident. Or was it days? She didnt know nor did she care. She stopped in a town on the other side of the border and realized she had no money or clothes. She looked around carefully and saw a couple trucks and bikes at a bar. She carefully stole some clothes from the saddle seat on one of the bikes and went into the bar.

She went inside and sat at the bar. She felt empty and hopeless inside. The events of the last few days had replayed over and over in her head nonstop. She let her baby and her husband die. She stared down at the wood of the bar until a man sat down next to her. " Such a pretty girl shouldnt look so sad. let me buy ya a drink girl. whaddya have?" Loika shrugged almost robotically. " Whiskey. Jack Daniels."

Jason's pain only intensified as he cried into Sara's shoulder. The memories of Peter and Mackenize ripped his heart to shreds without mercy. It wasn't real at first, Jason didn't want to believe that they were taken so fast, so soon. He wanted that reality gone. He needed to put out the ever growing fire of them gone away. Jason wanted so badly for all of this reality to be fake, to be trapped some other world, and made him believe some one was playing with his mind. Anything was better than this world. This reality.

"I can't stop it," said Jason thorough sobs. "I am not strong enough to let go, Sara." He wanted to let go of the memory and forget the fact that people who mattered to him were gone. The pain he felt when Helen was gone, washed over him again and now it was even more so than before. The wound in his heart was only getting bigger and bigger, ripping him apart from inside out. What will happen next? "I have to find a way to bring Mackie back, even if I have to tear the whole city apart to find it. I will find it. I will save her."

Sara forced jason to look at her. " Jason it is perfectly okay to cry and mourn. Its ok togiieve. Thats is just proof that they made an impact on your life and you made an impact on theirs. If you believe you can bring her back i will support you. I will always fight beside you and support you. Through better or worse as long as w both shall live remember? Tell me whats going on." She kissed the top of his head again and hugged him comfortingly. Something was seriously bothering her husband and she wanted to help.

"I miss them, Sara," said Jason, tears are now less visible on his face. "I miss them terribly."Over the years, Jason has developed a soft spot for everyone, he was now too weak to actually punish anyone who he though would cause trouble in the institute. But with Peter and Mackenzie gone, Jason wasn't sure he could go on teaching at Xavier Institute. He knew people wanted him to help him, but Jason could not go through another heartbreak like that ever again. He could not let people down and be responsible for their lives. He didn't want other people's blood on his hands.

Then, there were these voices. Maybe it was just a figment of his imagination or maybe they were real,  but Jason wanted them gone. He didn't care how it was going to be happen, but he wanted them gone for good. Looking up at his wife, Jason sniffled. "I don't think I can do this anymore," said Jason, wiping his eyes with his hands. "I cannot be responsible for deaths of anymore people. I don't want to care anymore. I don't want people dying all around me. I am sick of violence. I just want to dissapear somewhere far away from New York City. This city is filled with blood and violence, it will never be peaceful unless someone dies here. And I cannot be part of this repugnant game anymore. I will not stand and watch people die in front of me." He took a drink of his scotch and finished it all in one gulp.

"I am leaving Xavier Institute, but not until I find a way to save Mackenzie. Something tells me, she is not completely dead. I am sure there are people out there who wish to help others just as much as I do. Than, let them! But I can no longer perform the duties of Headmaster of this school." said Jason.

" Jason the kids still need you. You cant give up not now. What about all the other loikas and peters and mackenzies that are here now and will come here for help." She watched him silently as he gulped his drink and gasped in surprise when he said he thought Mack might still be alive. " What do you mean still alive? I saw her myself Jason she looked dead. She hasnt moved in days. Jason talk to me."

Logan was back from another one of his famous disappearing trips in which no one knew where he went and he never bothered to explain anything. When he returned to the school it felt different. It was almost like a funeral. He noticed a lack of small frolicking beasts running around and glitter armed little fiends.

He went to jason's office and knocked on the door. " Hey professor.Back. whats going on, who died?" He asked in a half joking tone.

Jason looked at Sara with careful eyes. "I am not going to leave the school without someone who can be in charge here." said Jason as he returned his gaze to the ground. Sitting up on a chair straight, Jason sniffled again, wiping his eyes once again. "I am sorry, Sara. But I cannot do this any longer, too many people have left the school and god knows what has happened to them." He was done caring for people, Jason was finished chasing after dreams of peace and prosperity. He knew it was never going to happen. Not until people begin to realize that world cannot revolve around violence. Jason jut needed sometime for himself to think, to be alone. To face the reality. He just wanted to disappear, never to be seen again for a long time.

"I have already a candidate in mind of who can run this school. Sara you can still help around, if you want to. But I think Athena Calor will make a good Headmistress." said Jason. At that moment Logan walked in, wondering if everything was alright. Jason sprung from his chair and looked at Logan. "Everything is fine, Logan." said Jason as he began to walk around the desk. He needed a reason to go on, he wanted to make sure that his gut feeling wasn't just a wishful thinking of Mackie being alive. He wanted to make sure he wasn't going crazy.

Immediately, he made his way out of the office and toward the Medical Bay. "I will fix this. I will fix this." he muttered to himself.

Mackenzie could sense jason getting closer. She wanted his help before but now she was scared. He had yelled at her when she was already scared. What had she done wrong? She was already dead? If she was dead then why didn't she cross over? Why couldnt she move?

As she sensed jason in the same room as her she became more scared. Instead of trying to reach out to him with her mind she tried to recluse farther back. Her darker side, the bad little girl in mackenzie surfaced in defence. She sounded like a very angry and dark little version of mackenzie. "WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE FRIGHTENING A LITTLE GIRL!"

Sara cried and ran her fingers through her hair. It hurt to watch Jason go and not be able to help him. " Peter.... peter and mackenzie are dead. Loika took off after she saw Peter die. Sorry this wasnt the welcome home you expected Logan." She spoke lightly and became choked up. Logan didnt deserve her harsh words even if he was a tough guy who could handle it.

Logan frowned and looked around uncomfortably. He didnt like seeing women cry and he definitely didnt like seeing women he knew cry. He took a kleenex from the box on the desk and handed it to her. He tried not to show that the news hit him. He liked the little brat kinda. Even though she had a habit of decorating his bike with glitter and stickers. The boy wasnt too bad, a little cocky but even logan had to secretly admit he was too. And Loika... damn that kid couldnt catch a break.

He reached out and patted Sara on the shoulder. " Its gunna be okay Sara. As much as it can be. Ill find her and bring her back dont worry. Just keep an eye on Jason. Ive kind of found a way into Loika's head so im pretty sure i know where the runt went. Ill drag her back kicking and screaming if i have to." He meant it too. He left Sara in the office and got on his bike, racing out of the garage and onto Loika's trail.

Mumbling under his breath, Jason raced down to the Med Bay where Mackie's body was. "She has to be alive. I mean I probably don't hear thing for no reason. SOmeone is trying to get into my head. And if they are not, then they need to back off and leave me alone. Must save the girl. Must save Mackie." Jason came down to the room and flung doors open. Instead of just bursting into the place, he quietly entered. There was something about respecting dead that Jason couldn't fully understand, except the fact that they were no longer here and he was supposed to be quiet.

Jason walked around the tables, where Mackie and Peter laid. Their bodies, cold and dead like the winter ground covered with snow. Jason stopped at Mackie's table. "You can hear me, can't you?" asked Jason the empty room, but in fact he was talking to Mackenzie. "I will help you, just hold."
"WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE FRIGHTENING A LITTLE GIRL!"
Jason's eyes became the size of a quarter as his knees buckled under his weight. Screaming, Jason fell to the ground, grabbing his head with both of his hands. "Damn," he smiled.

Mackenzie' s dark side had taken over since her sweet and innocent side was scared and hurt. The dark mack still sounded like her, just more of an evil version of her. She saw everyone and everything as a threat. The telepathic energy raging from Mackenzie' s body raged like a fire. "you won't hurt her again NOR WILL YOU SCARE HER. HOW DO YOU THINK YOU CAN HELP HER!" dark mack was purposefully keeping herself between jason and mackenzie. Severing contact between them.

Breathing fast, Jason looked around as he heard the voice in his head again.  Jason  stood up, grabbing hold of the table. This was something he has rarely experienced with any other telepath he ever encountered before. He chuckled as he hovered over Mackenzie's body. "I knew you were," said Jason, "You -- brilliant, smart girl!" he laughed out loud. Nearly starting to run around the Bay in happiness.

"SARA! SARA! SARA! COME DOWN TO MED BAY QUICKLY!" yelled Jason as he continued chuckling to himself. Except this time, Mackie sounded angry. She has never been that mean sounding before. It was going to be like solving a puzzle to try and get her out. But first, Jason had to repair her body. It would not do any good if the little lady's body is a mess when she comes back. It was like a vassal and just like it, needed to be repaired. Jason wasn't sure if he has completely lost it, or was he really hearing angry Mackenzie on the other side.

Sara sat in Jason's office crying and trying to comfort herself. She knew she could depend on Logan to find Loika. He'd done it before. She then heard Jason yelling for her. The tone in his voice worried her and she quickly ran to the med bay. She found Jason hovering over Mackenzie. He seemed almost happy. She looked concerned. " Whats wrong Jason. what is it?"

Jason continued hovering over Mackenzie as Sara came in.
"Whats wrong Jason. what is it?"
Looking up at her, Jason smiled as he continued starring at Mackie's head.
"I am not crazy and I can prove it," said Jason chuckling to himself. He motioned for Sara come over to the table, where Mackenzie was. "She's alive, Sara, she is alive. Somehow, Mackenzie here, must have forced herself into the darkest corners of her mind to escape--well, whatever it is they were doing to her--and now she is trying to get out, but she can't."

Jason quickly pulled up stood on wheels and took a seat where Mackenzie's head was. He placed his fingers on her temples and closed his eyes. "Now, you put your hands on my head, just like I am doing to Mackenzie. If I am correct, the telepathy should be able run from Mackenzie's mind to mine, and then, I will redirect them to yours." There was finally a spark of hope that lit Jason's heart, and made it glow. He wasn't sure how long that telepathic link was going to last, but he didn't want to wait to find out.

Slowly, he begun his decent into Mackenzie's mind. "Mackenzie, if you can hear me, it's me Jason I have come to help you."

Sara did as told. She was a little worried about her husband. They both were taking the childrens' deaths hard but was he loosing it. She could never know how her husband's amazing mind worked. She stood behind him so that she was out of the way of what Jason was doing and placed her hands on his head as he told her to do. " Has she... said?....anything?" She asked hesitantly.

In Mackenzie's mind were the dark and light versions of herself. Light and good Mackenzie seemed to be hiding in the darker corners of her mind. Hiding from the dark version. Dark Mackenzie had taken over.

Dark Mackenzie moved between Jason and Light Mackenzie. She tipped her head and looked angry. " I TOLD YOUR TO LEAVE HER ALONE!"
