Clementine had time off from work and decided to hit up Times Square and shop.  She had been so busy lately that it was a much needed break.  Problems with mutant society was harsh and she tried so hard to hide what he was except when working and there was trouble.

As she walked around in the early morning it wasn't as crowded but as the time went by and it was past noon, more and more people crowded the busy area.  She felt crowded and enclosed that her eyes started to glow green as her stress built and the toxic powers filled her fangs up and dripped out of her teeth like green saliva.  Quickly, Clem ran down an alley way to avoid being seen and slowly slid to the ground and began to hyperventilate.  She shouldn't of gone out in the crowd. Clementine wasn't used to so many people, she as used to the less crowded downtown areas.  For some reason it made her panic an her powers expose itself.  She sighed and stayed seated as she spat out the rest of the venom in her fangs, causing acid to sizzle at the brick wall she hit.

Well this was dangerous and reckless and idiotic.

Neal stood with a hood over his head. He wore his caftan and clothes with a hint of rock and Goth. Silver necklaces, leather bracelets, spikes, ankhs, crosses were all over his body. People tend to raise their eyebrows when they saw the way he dressed himself but Neal was never an extremist, or daring enough to wear clothes that were not the extension of his personality and sensibility. He preferred to wear those because that was him.

Nostalgia had led him here. Standing with his back to a wall, looking out over the crowd of noisy and happy shoppers. He watched their happy shopping with a look of displeasure on his face.

He had never really been welcomed on these streets, people hated him, feared him, and rightly so. But he couldn't help but... miss it. These people who had made him what he was, made him the torturer, the killer and the violent mutant he was. Yet here he was, watching all of their happy, relaxed faces. How he wished they'd stop smiling. If he just ran out into the road and started to throw lightning bolts at each one of them, cause a little chaos on what was an ordinary day. But he knew better then to do that.

No one was really looking for him at that point, they had figured he and his team, Brotherhood moved country, it was the smart thing to do. But here he was, he had never been extremely smart, mostly sloppy and a complete idiot.

Neal walked over in the most silent place of the Square. He took delight how in the stillness he was able to hear himself better and connect with all that was hidden within him. Every thought held captive rose to the surface and when it did, he caught it, stayed with it and tried to find the answers to the many questions that came with it.

Sometimes, in the rat race that was life, Neal's spirit became sapped. Drained by negative energies and emotional vampires, tragedies and chaos, the day-to-day demands and duties that pull at him from all over, the stress that was part and parcel of life.

Unless he chose to make a conscious effort to break away from all of these, he would definitely burn out.

Clem noticed the man stand righti the path of her escape out of the alley she was in. He hadn't even noticed her on the ground panting from her own stupid anxiety attack.  Slowly, she stood up, noticing how he was dressed and cleared her throat so to not startle the man who blocked her path.  Sure, Clem had dealt wit dangerous men before, ones who wanted to take advantage of her.  Her powers saved her from those things.  Of course just looking at her, you would never know what she was.  Although at the current time, her fangs ere out and dripping.  The acid never burned her skin, but the sizzle from the ground could be heard as she sucked them into her mouth by a flick of her tongue.

She did't say anything, only stared.  Red hair flew in front of her face by the wind as the blue eyed mutant looked at Neil.  She didn't really know what to say.  Her powers were a bit haywire at the time from her freak out.  She just wasn't sure if she was going to need to push this stranger away from her or if she had what she needed, someone to actually talk to.  It was one of those moments where sh hopped her prayers had been answered.

(my rping has gotten better fyi :) hehe)

Negativity was a given, in many shapes, sizes, colors and forms. And for Neal, nowadays, the negativities were in the form of these happy people. Though, the real him could always choose to remain impervious to these non-peaceful entities. He would never let these human and their negativities swallow him. He always chose to be in the dark or in silence. Unseen and invulnerable. He noticed how much better he felt in darkness. Letting in the darkness literally allowed him to erase the annoying smiles and insulting laughs of these human beings.

Neal had just turned away from looking at the people in the road, when suddenly he bumped right into a woman who seemed to appear out of nowhere. He lost his footing and fell hard onto his back, catching himself with his palms on the rough cobblestone. He felt the skin shred and knew they would be bleeding. He cursed quietly and reached up immediately to fix his hood.

Neal growled and turned to glare at the woman with piercing blue eyes. "What the?!" His voice hoarse and unused. He cleared his throat. He was prepared to run if she recognized him or his voice. He never knew how much people remembered these days.

Loika wandered the shops aimlessly. She still hadnt been the same. She had decided to let arabella take her memories. She walked in a black razor back tank, black skinny jeans, and black converse. She walked with a coffee from starbucks that had long ago went cold. She sipped at it anyways.

She didnt seem to notice the people around her. For the most part she didnt recognize where she was but despirately wanted a nice cold hard drink...or 3. Logan had kept a close eye on her though and she had been unable to sneak a drink for a while now.

Her focus was on that next drink whena man knocked her over. Her blue eyes glowed and her nostrils flared at the smell of blood. He had cut his hands. Her own coffe was now spilled on the sidewalk. She turned her head to apologize and realized she knew the man. "Neal? What are you doing here?"

"Watch where you're going!" He growled, lifting his hands up to look at the blood of them, staring at them for a moment with a bit of interest before taking his handkerchief in his left hand and wiped his bleeding palm.

His eyes darted towards hers when she spoke and said his name, and he jerked, adjusting his hood back up on his head and pushing himself to his feet, hesitating, before replying. "None of your business Loika!" He growled, turning his head away from her so she couldn't see the conflicted looks on his face. Neal didn't want to see nor talk to this lady anymore, who became such an unhealthy obsession that the road ahead for him became paved with uncertainty. She was his first love that's why he let himself to wallow in this bad experience and forget that there's life after her. She's the very reason why he stupidly let himself to turn this double whammy as the be-all and end-all of his life.

But not now, Neal knew better. He already got enough pride in himself, enough respect, and enough... love. He now saw more to living than holding on to a girl who clearly had a one-track mind and no scruples, particularly about his emotions.

His first instinct was to run, get as far away from this place as possible. But with this girl here, it would only draw suspicion. So he had to act like he was any other random stranger who had been hit while walking down the road.

She opened her mouth to say something and looked down in hurt. It was like she was down and getting kicked again. She wanted so badly to drink it all away. Her head quickly snapped back up. She smelled venom and acid. Her eyes glowed again and her body started to shake like she was going to shift into her wolf form right there in public. A growl rumbled in her throat.

Neal could feel his body tense when she tried to open her mouth and say something, and he quickly looked away again, as though looking for someone who wasn't there or perhaps there was really someone out there. "I go to go..." He grunted, turning to glance her over for a moment, his eyes finding her blue ones for a split second before walking away, looking around the street again, watching the faces of people passing.

Neal was already in this stage where he already merited some maturity. He was not a teenager anymore. He was not preoccupied with her because she was wall-to-wall in his head. He had stopped already. He stopped reliving his moments with her! He didn't want to get sick with this obsession anymore.

He was thin, but pretty muscled due to constantly running and having nothing else to do but work out. So while he was thin, he had a toned look to him, even under his cloak and baggy clothes. His shoulders were broad and his waist-line lean. As he walked, he let his head glanced over her, looking anywhere but at her, and after a moment he noticed her body shaking and heard a growl from her.

Since the day Peter died, Rachel moved on long time ago. She never forgotten the event, but she refused to stay in the moment either. It was hard enough to live with these people already, but to be bound by one event and be defined  by it would not change Rachel. She never stopped living her dark, mysterious life as a vigilante and Peter's death only fueled the fire within her to bring criminals to justice. Be they're mutant or human, made no difference to Rachel

Walking freely and following Loika, Rachel kept her distance. New York City was not a big city and you ran into people you knew all the time. Rachel watched as Loika ran into a gentlemen. Not on purpouse but by mistake and it just so turned out to be the person Rachel despised the most. She wouldn't interfere until Loika was in trouble, and even then Loika probably was looking for a reason to kick someone's ass. Rachel remain vigilant, never stepping out of her hiding spot.

Loika couldnt fight it anymore. A big shiver ran down her spine and she shifted on the sidewalk. Humans are weak and frail. When nearby humans saw her shift she caused an immediate panic. She was now a larger than average wolf in new york. Humans started to panic, scream, and run. In the chaos she darted through the crowd looking for the source of the venom scent.

Rachel turned into a crow in front of others and followed her, stopping by any tree that she could hide behind. There was trouble and Loika was looking for it, Rachel didn't know what to do but to chase after her. Flapping her wings faster and faster, Rachel beat Loika to the front and then dropped to the ground, shifting into her Nightwisp outfit.

"Loika, don't do this," said Rachel standing her ground. She was like a ghost almost, but she was not disappearing and Loika was not going to get herself killed now either.

Neal was shocked as Loika shifted into her wolf form. He heard no more but the sound of commotion. For at the moment he stared at the beautiful beast that had attacked the crowd. He froze. Running footsteps pounded down the streets and alleyways. Shouts intensified.

What he felt mostly as he saw people in panic was fascination. No,almost an awe for the sheer power of the beast to scare these humans.

This was the first time he saw Loika terrorized; he had felt the triumph of besting an adversary on the playing field. He wanted to see more. He wanted to see Loika making pools of blood on the ground and treat it as the wellspring of all sport - glorifying in power over her prey. And the only power mattered for Neal was the power of life and death.

Neal didn't know but somehow he felt powerless before Loika. But more than that, he yearned for that force. He walked near to hear and waited.

Wolf loika snarled at rachel. She barely recognized her. Part of her ached for a small drink and the other part of her wanted to let the wolf take over. " get out of my way mason. I dont want to hurt you. I need to find the source of that scent!" She growled and lunched at rachel.o

She turned to neal who had gotten closer during thier conversation. She snarled loudly only inches from his face. She was close enough to rip his face off if she wanted. She had the power to do so. Her loud howl/snarl caused more fear in the crowd. Some were starting to pull out camera phones and record.

Loika rose to her feet and launched herself at the vigilante lady, no other than Rachel Mason. Her growl of anger nearly drowned out the people's scream. Loika lifted her head and looked at Neal. He stared at her directly into her eyes, he was not sure if what he saw was hatred or something else.  Neal stood nose to nose with the beast who was snarling.

It's gaze enveloped Neal. He should have been horrified but he felt something unusual. Neal felt his eyes close and a shiver ran through him of the first time he saw Loika in this lupine form. The beautiful wolf in Peruvian jungle stood so clearly in his mind. At that moment, Neal wanted  to go away, but he couldn't do anything about it as it seemed he was unable to move. He scarcely knew where he was.

After mulling his thoughts around for a few moments, he felt his lips moved and in his usual gruff manner said quietly "Beauty."

She felt more animal than girl. She wanted him to run. She wanted to chase him. The humans running around in panic made her want to chase. She was locked eyes with him, ready to attack when she heard him say one small word. "Beauty". The wolf's face softened and loika seemed to look at him with a hurt look for a brief moment. She looked down and growled. "No. Beast."

She seemed to be calming down until a photographer in the crowd stepped foreward and snapped a picture. The flash startled the large wolf. She growled at the phototgrapher and turned back to the croud. She hopped onto a car and howled loudly so that many covered their ears. She then looked at thrm all like thdy were enemies. Prey.

(oh my bad, it's cool)

Clementine sat back into the corner of the alley when she heard the wolf, scared of the random animal being around.  She didn't want to be harmed by it and then saw the wolf get closer as Neil left.  Clem hated all the chaos around her.  She sighed and curled up, waiting for the dark to fall so she could get back to the safety of the bar where no one frightened her.  She spat again, sending the last of the venom from her fangs at the wall and sighed.

(sorry this was short I got confused on everything going on.)

loika's ears perked at the sound of the venom sizzling. It distracted her from the crowd and she finally laid eyes on her target. She was clearly visable from the car she was standing on. She growled in a way that showed her teeth and lept off of the car. People scrambled out of the way as she charged the mutant.

Neal noticed how Loika's face softened when he mentioned the word, "Beauty". But the brief moment of calmness was distracted when a blinding flash went off. She was startled that made the bristle of hair over her body stuck out like quills. A hideous anger lifted her features into a leer that was dreadful mockery of human expression.

Loika carelessly turned her back and hopped onto a car to give a yowl. Claws like thorns pierced Neal's belly right through his clothing. He hit the floor with a thud that knocked the wind out of him. He had a confused impression of  a weight on his chest.

Cries of despair and horror burst. Neal lurched to his feet and staggered through an alleyway and saw a lady sitting on the ground, merely watching the entire scenario. Neal went near her and slumped against the wall. He held his hands in his hands. His shirtfront was stippled with gore. Slowly, his eyes looked at the lady beside him and saw her spat at the wall.

"LOIKA, STOP!" screamed Rachel. Her black hair blew in the wind as her anger was intensifying and she had enough of Loika's self-destruction. "I will not watch you destroy yourself." Both of the Faelith's were crazy, but since Peter's death, Loika has been more so crazy then usually. Nothing probably mattered to her anymore. If there was only some way of bringing Peter back that would sooth her flaming heart which was now engulfed in fiery lava of anger and despair. But most of all, vengeance.

Rachel turned into a white wolf herself. If that's how she wanted to play, Rachel was going to oblige her. Lunging with a snarl, Rachel tried to tackle Loika down to the ground.

Loika was almost to her target when she felt a body hit her hard. She hit the pavement and slid a foot or two. She rolled to her feet quickly and faced her attacker. It was a white wolf but it wasnt Lakai. She snarled at the intruder and snapped at it's shoulder. She found it crazy that another wolf was in the city but she wasnt going to stand by and let it attack her.

Clementine noticed the wolf closer and Neal near her and curled up terrified as another wolf appeared.  Now she was really freaking out and stood up after a second and looked at the man in front of her.

"You see them too right?  I'm not hallucinating?"  he asked truly terrified of the wolves and no longer of the man as her viper fangs hung way out of her mouth, tipped with venom.  She looked scared shitless as she looked at Neal.

"Should we run...?"
