Ceres Calor said:

Ceres was busy today. She had a lot to think about, especially with her new found sister getting so attached with the rest of the Family. So much that they had actually forgotten about her, but Ceres was somehow used to it, and even glad, since she now didn't have to worry about more people. They had each other, and she was needed no more, allowing her to focus on her job, or more likely, on how to spend the money she was taking from men. Maybe even trying to form some sort of a relationship with someone. Whether it was something romantic, or a simple friendship.

As she was walking around the Square, her hands full of bags, a thought of Jonas crossed her mind, making her stop abruptly. She had completely forgotten about him, and it had surprised her when her mind decided to push the memories to the surface.
And then came curiosity. Where could he be now? And doing what exactly? For all she knew he could be at another bar, making women fall in love with him, using them and throwing them away. But there was also the other part of him, that always poked his nose into things that were none of his concern.
He was one nosy bastard, and Ceres knew that all too well from the moment he decided to follow her at that Family Party.

Sighing, she shook her head, not wanting to think about him now. She had a lot of work to do tomorrow, and new outfits were to be bought. After all, she had gone on a shopping therapy just to get things off of her head, not to add more to it.
But a part of her brain wasn't interested in letting go of the thought of that man.
"Damn it... get out of my head..." she murmured as she passed by another store, getting closer to the wanted location.

Stopping just outside the Victoria's Secret shop, Ceres smiled a bit, checking out a few of the things from outside, before walking in to the all to well known store.
Most lingerie was bought from here, especially with the money she was paid. If she was going to spent money, she would do it the right way.

Greeting the woman behind the counter, Ceres started looking around right away, going for something bolder this time. She usually picked dark colours like black or purple, but this time, she wanted something bright. Maybe a bright red or pink. Or even a royal blue of some sort.
She still couldn't decide, but one thing was sure, she was going to get the best.

The best is what Jonas Ordell usually set his sights on. A temporary delay in development with TDX-NZ was a bump in the road, though as always, his business kept rolling along smoothly. Associates from the HellFire club were impatient, but with his silver tongue he brought them understanding that their message to the world would be ready soon enough. In only a matter of time, there would be nothing the humans could do to stop them. Presently, Jon was returning from a 'meeting' in Beijing with an egg-head who assured him in broken english that the solution only needed a few more tweaks.

Having had enough of sitting idle in the jet and while being chauffered through the tiny backwards streets of China, Jon elected to drive himself from the airport. With high spirits, he lowered the convertable top of the candy apple red Mercedes SLS and loosened his necktie a bit, electing to take the rest of the evening and prematurely celebrate his success.

Only a month ago he had been so in doubt of himself. Still coping with weakened powers thanks to his devious cousin injecting him with an early test-version of the Cure, his life had taken a miserable turn of misfortune. Jon, too used to having everything he wanted, was made to bend to someone else's will.. salt to the wound already dealt. With added insult, Kas offered him a compromise- but he would have to work for it.

An annoying attention whore with trashy fashion sense was his charge for nearly a year. Everything he needed to reverse the crippling of his powers of persuasion was in April Briggs' DNA. She was just the kind of manipulation he didn't want. Unless he met all of her desires, April wasn't giving up a drop of that precious blood. Her touch alone was a remedy for a short time, and she liked to take total advantage of that fact. It entertained Jon for a day or so; quickly becoming infuriating enough he spent that much more time tracking down the nerdiest of nerds who could finish formulating a cure to the Cure. =^..^=

Then there was Ceres Calor. For some reason, he could let everything go completely to waste while he chased this woman. Out of pure nosiness and coveting of her time, Jon had not so long ago skipped an important business meeting to crash a party just because Ceres was there.

Reminding himself afterward that another female in his life was another problem he didn't need, Jonas redoubled the effort to find the next great scientist of the future mutant-ruled world- which would rise from the ashes in HellFire's wake. The whole plan was taking form as expected, and although no one could say when; they could say the day is coming.

Jon was so busy dreaming of it, he didn't notice the flow of traffic until he was crusing Seventh Ave. through Times Square, and a jolt ran up his spine as he caught a glimpse of a tall feminine form with hair like woven sunlight. Immeadiately, he pulled over.
Forgetting about paying the parking meter, he pocketed the keys and leapt over the door out of the car, hitting the pavement at a fast pace.

He didn't even know if it really was Ceres he just saw walking into the Victoria's Secret, but he wasn't thinking with his brain at all anymore. Jon just barged on into the fancy lingerie store like a bull in a china shop, spotting exactly what he was looking for.

Waiting for a more appropriate time to talk would have been the polite thing to do.. hence Jon did the exact opposite. He saw what he wanted and went straight after it.

"Hmmm, not really your color." Jonas remarked, pulling down a pair of expensive shades to peer over them, very obviously envisioning Ceres in only the intimate pink article she was holding.
