Shikon was just walking around the park. Without Lakai by his side he was lost, and more than that he was broken. A soulless man with nothing left to lose. Since he and Lakai had went their separate ways Shikon had been keeping himself busy. He never stopped to think, was always moving on to the next job that needed him. He wasn't Brotherhood anymore, and he wasn't X-Men material. He was just back to the way things used to be. A cut throat. An assassin. Whatever you wanted to call it, that's what he was. He took the money and only asked the questions he needed to get the job done. When he came back into the business his contacts thought he was soft, he straightened that mess up quickly.
Today was the first day since it ended that Shikon had a day all to himself. As he thought there alone, sitting on a park bench he thought of all of the memories he had with Lakai, the good and the bad. He remembered how she told him he was never there anymore, and she was right. Shoulders slumped Shikon sat there in the park. All alone, and completely damaged. He just stared at the ground, not knowing what to do with himself.
