Looking for her Brother

Sophia had left New York for some time when she heard of her brothers death months ago, but now,she had heard otherwise and had to check to see if the rumor was true, that it had been a mistake and Peter was alive and they could try and become a family again.  She had two bags, one on her shoulders, the other a rolling suitcase as she entered the mansion and headed for the office where she was last before flying off to Russia for a few months to get away from everything.  Now that she was back, she was some what relieved to think that her brother was alive, that she would see him again, and of course make things right with Loika and Peter.

With a knock on the main door, she waited, "Hello? Anyone in?  My name is Sophia Jackson, I'm looking for a Peter Jackson."

Mackie stayed at the school while mommy was at work. She wanted to stay with her brothers but mommy thought she would get in too much trouble. 

She was laying on the floor coloring her coloring book when she heard a knock at the door. She went to the door and looked up at the lady with the bags. It took her a moment but she recognized her from mommy and daddy's wedding. She was the ladie that hit her. She bit her lip and hid behind the door a little.

Sophia looked down at Mackenzie and frowned.  She felt bad at what she had done that day of the wedding and no matter how many times she had apologized, she knew the little girl would never forgive her.  Sighing, she let out a soothing pheromone of calm and gentle love and knelt down to Mackenzie's level and forced a friendly smiled.  Her eyes grew a small pink lining around her pupils, something that would only be seen if looking directly into them.  Sophia was trying to make things right between herself, Peter, his wife and their little girl.  It was hard but she was determined.

"Hey sweetie, I'm not sure if you remember me, but is your daddy around?"

She had mr boots her stuffed cat tucked under one arm. She nodded and picked at mr boot's fur." I know who you are. You are daddy's sister. You hit me at mommy and daddy's wedding. Daddy was really upset. ."


She frowned and wrinkled her nose. "Dont use your power on me. Im alot smarter than you think. What do you want with my parents." Mackenzie still wasnt talking out loud. Her voice came through her mind.

"Mackie," said Peter as he waked through the door. He was back from work at Mount Sinai Hospital as a licensed practical nurse. Life was going good and Pete was pulling in some hefty hours. He only worked part time as well as go to school to get his doctor degree. He was going to help people whether he was a mutant or not.

"Mackie," yelled Peter. "Are you here?" he wondered if Mackie was going to be left with Jason or Sara, but if not, he had another idea of where she could be.

Mackenzie perked up when she heard daddy. She quickly twirled around and ran through the house to the main hall. When she saw him she let out an excited squeal and jumped into his arms." Daddy i missed you! How was work? Did you help people? The lady from you and mommy's wedding is in mr jason's office."

He picked her up as he swung her around, planting a kiss on her forehead. "Hey sweetheart," he said excitedly, knowing that tomorrow is never guaranteed. Setting down Mackenzie, he smiled at her. "Work was good, how was your day?"

"The lady from you and mommy's wedding is in Mr. Jason's office."

Sophia was here. Peter didn't expect to see her here so soon after she nearly hit Mackie, but he didn't hold any ill will against her and forgave her long time ago. "Let's go see her then, shall we?" said Peter as he made his way upstairs to Jason's office. Where was Jason at the moment?

"Hello, Sophia," he said, "What brings you to Xavier Institute?"

Mackie went with daddy. She missed him after he was at work for so long. She trotted after him curiously. She could see into his mind and was surprised he wasnt mad at sophia. She stayed behind him but peeked out at sophia while she sucked her thumb.

Sophia sighed a Mackenzie but then turned when she heard her brothers voice and smiled.  Her face lit up, happy to see her brother and hugged him quickly.

"Peter! How are you brother?  Its been a long time!  I've missed you so much."  She said and let him go

"Peter! How are you brother?  Its been a long time!  I've missed you so much."  

Suddenly, Peter was filled with rage he let go of Mackie's hand and briskly closed the distance between him and Sophia, slamming her against a wall.
"Don't pretend like you miss me." said Peter. "You sold us out to Hawthorne after the wedding. We went through hell because of you. Have you ever lost someone you  deeply cared about to something evil?"

Peter didn't want to make a scene in front of Mackie, but he knew she would understand why he was angry with his sister. "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't kill you right here and right now."

Mack clutched mr boots tight and took a step back. She had never seen daddy get mad at someone like this before. She could see in his mind and knew why though. She wasnt sure why the lady was here either. She watched from behind mr boots.

Sophia looked confused when Peter began to yell at her, not sure if he had remembered anything she had told him last time they were together at the diner.  Suddenly she felt ashamed again.
"Peter, I thought we made up already from the diner we had months ago when I told you I developed the X gene.  You were told I was a mutant like you.  You told me to come here and then I never heard from you again.... I got news you were okay after I was told something else.... Things have been confusing... That's why I'm here... Trying to get the truth, but seeing you here... I know you are okay."  She backed up a bit, truely fearful that her brother was actually going to kill her.  "I don't understand Peter... We had made up... We discussed things... not fully because you left early... but still... Please don't kill me.."

OOC: Dinner happened after the wedding.

BIC: Peter let go of Sophia. He never wanted to see her again, but at the same time he was glad to have her in his life. "I don't know what made you do it, but I can't be mad at you, your actions brought my family together closer. Of course it put us through living hell as well," said Peter.

"Tell me what happened? What made you do it?"

Logan opened a soda in the kitchen. He stopped mid sip at the sound of arguing in the professor's office. This couldnt be good ever. Especially in a place like xavier's. One argument could cause holes in the school.

He entered the office and gave peter a look.The little one looked scared. He strode over and picked her up. Her held her on his hip protectively and looked at the both of them. " Everything ok in here?"

"Peter, I known I never got to tell you why, it was because she was going to lock me up and I was scared, there was no reason behind it and I regret it every day.  Every day, That's what I wanted to tell you at the dinner but you ran off.  I wanted to tell you why."  Tears were now flowing down her face.  She was glad he let her go, glad he calmed a bit when Logan walked in and paused.

She looked the new visitor over not wanting to continue a private conversation with Peter with the new man in the room especially one who looked like Logan.  "Everything is fine.  I'm just talking to my brother about something is all.  Thank you." She said and pushed the tears away from her eyes.  She emitted a pleasant aroma of pheromones that created a calming sensation to everyone in the room, her eyes lighting up pink around her pupils.

He continued to hold the little one protectively. He gave her pigtail a playful tug and looked to make sure she wasnt hurt or scared. He gave the a snort and grumbled under his breath. "Dont try to use that smelly stuff on me girl. I got a sensitive sense of smell. I only came to check on the kid so dont get your panties in a twist bub." 


What is it will all of these youngsters trying to be a bunch of badasses. He could do without the attitude. He helped mackenzie onto his back so she could hold on like a little monkey like she used to do the last time he was here.

Noticing Logan walk in, put Peter slightly at ease. When he picked her up, "Logan would you be able to take Mackie somewhere for an hour or two?" asked Peter, he had to talk to Sophia again. Will there ever be peace between her and his family? He wanted to get along with her, but everything she did only put more barriers between them again.

Peter, I known I never got to tell you why, it was because she was going to lock me up and I was scared, there was no reason behind it and I regret it every day.  Every day, That's what I wanted to tell you at the dinner but you ran off.  I wanted to tell you why."

"My daughter was dead when we found her." said Peter. "That bitch killed her," Then, it dawned on him. How was he alive when he appeared at Jason's office? How did he lived? "I can't stay mad at you because I need some closure, how do I get it?"

Mackie tried to protest but she was treated like a baby as usual. She scowled at sophia as logan carried her out. Right before they left the room she forced the memories of her beating at the mrd into sophia's head.

"Chocolate chip icecream please!Mommy hides candy from daddy in a cabinet abve the stove." She said as they left the room.

"I don't know if I can ever give you what you want, if I can ever make it up to you.  I did a horrible thing Peter.  I did something unforgivable.  I did so many terrible things in my life.  I don't deserve you to welcome me back.  I just want you to know I didn't mean ay of it to happen and I'm sorry.  I really am."  She pushed the tears from her eyes, the pheromone smells till emitting from her.  "I love you Peter.  You are my brother, my only family since mom an ad no longer want me any where near them since I'm like you with the mutant gene."  She sighed and took a seat, er hands shaking with nerves.  "Fuck I need a drink."  She mumbled under her breath  and looked up at him with a frown.

"Tell me how to make it up to you, how can I make things right?"  Sophia asked, her eyes looking right into hs, the pheromones stopping.

"You shouldn't be apologizing to me about it, I have forgiven you a long time ago," said Peter. "Loika is the one you should be saying all that to" There was hurt in his eyes, but he could manage it.

"Fuck I need a drink."

"Come with me," said Peter as he walked to the kitchen. "There is no alcohol in the school, but I know about Loika's secret stash," Peter walked to the kitchen counter and stood up on his toes, trying to see. Then his hand was searching in the shelf, finally he pulled out a bottle of Jack Daniels. He could use a drink himself.

"Why does everyone wants to hurt me or my family?" he mumbled as he pulled out two glasses and poured a drink to Sophia.

"And I plan on apologizing to her Peter.  But I'm afraid se won't forgive me.... That should would rather maul me."  Sophia sighed, her phermones emitted an even stronger calming scent off her as they spoke.  "I was afraid you would never forgive me either."  She pushed a tear from her cheek and sighed.

She followed him to the kitchen and listened and her eyes lit up when he produced the bottle of Jack.  "Who wants to hurt you and your family?"  She asked ad took the shot of jack fast and placed the glass down, shaking her head from the taste.  Already she reached to pour herself a second shot.  The pheromones died down along with the pink ring around her pupil.
