Some Like It Hot - (PG-13)

Peter appeared at the Mel's Diner. He knew Loika was working, but his plans were far more important then she or anyone else knew. He was going to put stop to the bitter revelry of Sophia and Loika. There was no reason they needed to fight. Before he went to find Loika, Peter left a note for Sophia to meet him at the the First National Bank.

"Hey baby, how's your day." said Peter to Loika as he took her hand fast, "Mel, don't fire Loika she'll be back very soon. Family emergency." he then teleported and appeared inside the bank vault with a door the size of a crane machine, Loika and Sophia were going to solve their differences here. They both needed to let out their anger now. Peter wasn't going to deal with their petty scowling of each other.

Loika had about two seconds to set down the pot of coffee she had in her hand before peter grabbed her and teleported. She was ready to tell him off but she was never good at teleporting. She hated it. It made her sick like a dog in a car.

She bent over and heaved when they arrived in the vault. Luckily nothing came up but she did scowl at him. " okay one not cool. I was at work. I dont pull you from the hospital to work. Two you know how teleporting makes me feel. Why do i have a feeling this isnt for a romantic date-wait did you tell mel family emergency? Is mackie ok!? Did my sister get out!?"

Sophia saw Peter's note and got dressed wondering why he wanted to see her at the bank.  She put a warm jacket on and headed downtown, not really sure what this was about but she figured it was important enough for Peter to of sent her a note.  

She arrived and waited outside the bank after arriving early.  She paced for a few minutes and then walked inside, removed her gloves and looked around for him.

Peter looked at Loika. He smiled, even at work she couldn't stay relaxed, knowing that things were fine. "Relax," said Peter, looking at her. "Everything is fine. First of all, you couldn't pull me away from work, even if you could, two--well--" he looked at his watch. Then, heard door bell ring. She was here. "Hold that thought,"

Peter teleported outside and right behind Sophia. Grabbing her without saying anything, Peter teleported back inside the vault. The setup was perfect. Now that they were inside, Peter could proceed with his plans. "Hello, ladies and gentl--well, just ladies," said Peter. "So, lets get down to business, we all know...I know, Sophia knows and so do you Loika. You two hate each other, so this is a place where you will sort out you in differences. I am not going to be the one to choose who should go." Peter gazed upon Loika. "Baby, you are my wife and you know I love you, but..." said Peter. "Sophia is my sister and last family I got left. I am not going to be torn between the two and I am not going to choose who to side with. Because both of you are important to me. So, today we sort out all the hate for each other, well you two. And don't try to run, it's useless." 

Fists, magic, whatever it was that they used would not matter to Peter, all he wanted for them to make up and accept each other. Peter teleported to the highest shelf up there.

Loika froze and her blue eyes widened. "What do you mean useless. You did not just lock me in this tiny room." Something that trumped her dislike for the other girl was her claustrophobia. Ever since the labs she couldnt stand being locked in small spaces without an exit. To her it felt like it was getting hotter and she felt like her heart was beating faster. She forced herself to take a few breaths. "I did not say i hated her. I said i hated what she did and disliked her. Im not going to fight her."

Sophia gasped when she was grabbed and fought for a moment and even after she was teleported into the vault.  She grew very nauseous when she saw where she was, and grabbed her stomach. "What the hell Peter!"  It was then that she saw Loika and Peter began to speak.

She looked at Loika and then Peter when he poofed away and up to a higher place so she couldn't hit him herself.  She glared at him and sighed.  She didn't exactly know what o do now and walked to the door of the vault and pushed herself as close to it as possible as if trying to melt out.

"Fine," said Peter. "Don't fight her I don't care." He was not sure how to deal with a situation as big as this one. "I can't help neither one of you then. But just remember Loika, your sister has done some terrible, horrible things. Yet, I held no grudge. The least you can do is forgive Sophia."

Peter didn't know how he could explain to his wife that what she did was not a self serving thing. But even if it was, everything now was healed and everything was better now

"I did apologize to you! I accepted that I fucked up bad.  I have taken responsibility but you keep thinking I haven't because you don't listen to anyone but yourself Loika.  You run away every time I try and say anything to you.  I apologized to you when you showed me the bathroom but I guess you didn't hear that either.  No you just like to insult me."  Sophia couldn't help but blurt that all out.  She had had enough.  "Even your daughter talked to me and forgave me.  You just can't drop shit.  Honestly Loika, you don't need to love me you just have to get the stick out of your ass.  Peter, Sorry but it had to be said and I'm done cowering from her.  She wants to hit me, let her I deserve it."  Sophia stood up straight, red with anger but she felt better after what she had said.  She was tired of this dispute already.  "I said I was sorry, I was wrong, I fucked up and didn't know what I had done.  Now stop saying I'm not taking responsibility because I am and it bites me in the ass every fucking day.  Okay I was raped and honestly I think it was because of this new mutant powers because of my pheromones.  Okay your family is alive.  Sure I fucked up, I couldn't of helped it because I didn't know what else to do.  EVERYONE ELSE HAS FORGIVEN ME.  So what is your problem?  Okay so I hit your kid, Get over it already I'm not going to ever do it again.  It was a reflex and accident.  Anything else you wanna blame me for?"

She crossed her arms and looked at them both, her lips pursed and eyes narrowed.  She had been tricked into her and she wasn't going to be a shy little coward any more, she had enough she was going through without her sister in law constantly attacking her.  "If nothing else is to be said get me out of here Peter because I really need to be alone now.  Or is that a problem for her?"

Peter held his breath as Sophia was exploding in rage. That was the exact reaction he was hoping for when he brought them here together. And she has finally stood up to Loika.

"Good we are finally getting somewhere,'' said Peter as he looked at Loika and wondered what she was going to say back.Was she going to fight her back, because now he regretted his alternative plans for the two of them.

"I got nothing against Lakai," said Peter. "At least not anymore. She's been at the house several times, and I did not stop her. I do not hate her. Yes, there are few things I would change about her, but I would never stab my own sister!"

The girl was never going to get it and loika was tired of trying. She didnt want to touch one hair on her head. What infuriated her is that the girl kept throwing her misfortunes in loika's face saying she got payback for what she did mackenzie. She didnt even care if she was sorry anymore. She stood with her pack to them and her forehead pressed against the cool metal of the vault. She stayed still while the girl screamed at her then calmly spoke. "Let me out. Now."

He couldn't decide if he should let Loika leave, but that's all she has ever done, always running.

"You can't run forever, dear." said Peter, sorrowfully. "Just sort this out right now, I don't want to have to be in a middle and choose with whom I should side. I don't want to be the middle man. If you still want to go," said Peter as he flung his hand across air and vault door slammed open. Everyone in a bank looked at them with surprise. "Go. But know that I am not going to chase you. If you feel like running, go and be with your other 'family', I don't care anymore. I am tired of fighting with you over the smallest things. I am tired of having to choose, and I am too tired to give anymore crap." said Peter.

He knew she was going to bolt into the woods and run with wolves, but Peter didn't care anymore. He couldn't live like this. Instead of dealing with her problems, Loika always ran away from them. "No matter how far or how fast you run, the problems will always be one step ahead of you. They will be there when you come back. So, if you want to go, go...I don't care anymore."

Peter extended his hand to Sophia in case Loika bolts, he had to make a quick disappearing act.

As soon as the door openned she didnt run or bolt like she usually would have. She did quickly move out of the vault though. She was shaking a bit. She looked back at him and her face wasnt anger or ferocity. It was pale and her expression was hurt. She looked like he had slapped her and she felt like it too.

Sophia walked to Peter's side and took his hand, glad her brother finally saw her for not cowering any more but listening to Loika she just couldn't believe it that she didn't even say anything back.  The one time she had expressed herself and she got nothing.  Her eyes looked to Peter, bright pink circle under the black pupil, and a scent of calming peaceful pheromones came from her now.  She felt better now that she had exploded but what would come of it she didn't know.

"You really have nothing to say to me?"
