History: Born in Germany during the early 1920's, she grew up during Germany's Depression. Her healing factor manifested when she was a young teen. Anna first noticed her abilities after waking up from dying of starvation.
She left Germany in 1937 to escape the war. Before her father's death he had told her stories of World War I and she had no wish to experience World War II. She ended up in Spain, eventually boarding a ship to America.
During the Cold War, Anna was approached by Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr. She joined their team, but left after the events of the Cuban missile crisis. She decided it was best to go her own way instead of having to choose between Charles and Erik.
She moved to New York City where her son, Seth, was born in 1981. He developed powers of his own and enrolled in Xavier's school for gifted youngsters.
