Many years ago Xavier's school for gifted mutants was attacked. It was left in ruin. Teachers and students abandoned it with no hope of returning to it for sanctuary...

Years later a professor named Jason Andrews returned life to the school's halls and rebuilt its walls. Students have once again come to learn at the school in safety.

Many other mutants aren't quite so lucky. Some still remain hidden in the shadows and some within factions like the brotherhood are left leaderless.

Gavin had been up on the surface for most of the day. The tunnels were never the best place to be, but they were indeed better than many other places. Gav felt pretty tensed up. The affairs he had been involved in were just pretty messed up. The whole affair in Switzerland, the mutant war, the constant attack of the M.R.D And the sentinels and his private agenda against Neal and Shikon. Everything was such a bore when there was no action to be excited about.

Walking around, on a destructed place, within District X, Gavin spotted something to do. Play with the walls. He started to walk towards a wall, with no other next to it. Under his boots he could hear some of the rubble falling apart while he moved to push part of the wall aside. It quickly came down. Opening a path down to the sewers. Blade looked down, as the path was quite deep. Gavin called out. Not hearing anyone. As sudden as it was, when Gav turned to leave, a voice called him.

Surprisingly enough, Kurt was on down there. Blade shared a little conversation with him, as to why he was there, and what was Gavin doing there. Kurt quickly left, to tend to a recently injured Misty. In no way was Gav gonna stop him. She had been injured by a blast of one of those darned Sentinels. Blade felt only anger and disgust of those who had made such robotic beings.

Keeping up with his adventure spirit, Gavin jumped around from the only steady wall, into a building. He hadn't done it in a while, but practicing parkour made him feel good. And young. Something he was not. Well, at least in today's youth. He made his way from building to building, finding spotting something, truly, interesting.

A mutant line-up. Being done by about thirty M.R.D punks. He had to find a way to get past them. But how? That, Gav had no idea. The M.R.D guys had guns. Something bad. But they didn't seem to have anything else. Something good. If Blade started to just shoot them, they would start the slaughtering. Another bad point. Two to one. If only Gavin was a little less outnumbered.

District X was a prime target for mutant extermination squads since the official government standpoint on those non-humans was essentially declaring them all fugitives. MRD was having a hay-day, doing all the hunting they wished that in the past they could have; rather than letting the 'freaks' in the shadows escape, and continue to survive in their run-down district of the city.
These low-level mutants were the unfortunate ones that had uncontrollable powers, some only happening under specific circumstances. At least half of the mutant population was comprised of these. Their fates were bound for mutant 'reformation' camps, or MRD's prison. Against the filled and outfitted ranks of the extermination squads, their powers were little match.
Or; perhaps more horrible yet, they were part of another fifth of mutant-kind who weren't pretty enough to make it in the human world. Their appearence was too offputting for society to ever accept them. The Morlocks were in the doomed percentage that humanity had decided were less than middling rats; deserving of imprisonment and torture, or conveniently kill-on-sight when encountered in number.

All of the noise consistent with a gathering of people drew Kelly's attention, and he watched, fretting over what to do. Even in a state of being one with his element, Kas doubted he could take out thirty armed grunts as a one man army. They also had hostages they wouldn't hestiate to pull the trigger on.
Kas hung around in District X and did what he could to help people, without them ever knowing he was there. This time, however, it looked very grim.

Movement on a rooftop across the lot put Kas on gaurd. He already knew MRD had a crack shot sniper for long distance back-up. MRD was conducting themselves smoothly and there wasn't much time, but he decided to take a chance and investigate what was overlooking this march of the damned.
A sheet of fog drifted closer from behind Blade, sticking low to the roof. Soundlessly, the pale smoke gathered upward and defined itself into a human shape. After the seamless transition, Kas flicked his wrist, calling on a quick lifting of pressure to guide a stick of iron rebar to his waiting hand.
He stepped up behind the stranger surveying this rainy parade, holding the makeshift weapon ready to bust said person's teeth as soon as they turned around.

"Yo."

His foot on the edge of the building, one of the fists clenched tightly around his sleeve. Why? Bolivar Trask. That sinister, despicable, wicked, revolting, calculating bastard. One of the "brilliant" heads behind the M.R.D project. Along with Stephen Lang, he had already caused so much pain to all mutants around the world. Be it that he hurt their families, or their friends.

Those two obnoxious pricks, caused the mutant world to tremble at their feet. And maybe that's what they really wanted. Not save humanity from the so called Mutant Threat, but to actually have an entire race of people bend over a desk, and let them do whatever they felt like it. The world was lucky it had people like the X-Men, and not to brag, Gavin himself. Thinking back to all the people who had helped him along the way, every one of them were fighting to make the world a better place.

The Last Sons. The Morlocks. Professor Charles Xavier. Every one tried to help. And most of them were gone. All of the last sons were dead. All but Gav. Professor X was gone as well. And the Morlocks weren't nearly as much as they once were. Everything those great men and women did was for the good of the mutant kind. And yet, they ended up doing something wrong.

Blade slowly took his handgun out of its holder. Changing the magazines normally. This gun wasn't enhanced. So the bullets would still come out one at a time. But, still at great speed. Pointing it at Bolivar, a silent red dot appeared on his head. He was so rich and powerful, but still there was nothing, or no one protecting his head. Dumbass.

You repulsive bastard. It's about time someone- "Yo!" This, nothing but short sentence, interrupted Gavin's thoughts. He nearly shot that Trask bastard, but was able to turn back silently. His gun held up. He noticed who it was, a surprisingly strange face. Blade had no idea who it was. "Who the hell are you?" He said, in a low voice.

All at once as a defensive reaction, when the dark-looking stranger turned around and quickly leveled a gun right between Kelly's eyes; Gavin's question was somewhat answered, and the peice of rebar flew and stuck into a wall of the adjacent building. To the inattentive, it would seem as if the scrappy blonde kid had disappeared. A stagnant fog enveloped the rooftop, muffling sounds and diminishing light.

"I told you; things are going to get worse."

The disembodied voice appeared to come from everywhere, yet it seemed distant at the same time.
Left unclear whether he was just doing this to mess with the scary knives guy, or if Kas was going to help him, or detain him- at least Blade had a clue who else had found this miserable persecution and faced with the choice to act or observe.

"Do you think he is worth all of the mutants down there?"

Sure, some might get away from the extermination squad in the confusion that would erupt if Gavin took that shot. But all of their faces would be remembered, and hunted down for vengence in the name of the late Bolivar Trask. Ultimately, it would be like wounding a dangerous animal.

Re-constituting in front of Blade, Kas seemed to step out of the hanging fog, watching the other with an expectant look of scepticsm.

Looking at the boy's face, Gavin had no idea who it was. His voice did sound a little familiar. But that "Yo" didn't let out all that much voice into the air. He placed his gun down, seeing as the man's stick had flown of his hand. The kid didn't seem to be in a bad shape. Picking a fight with the guy would just call unwanted attention. And of that, he was sure none of them wanted.

Suddenly, as fast as a blink, the kid had vanished. That fog was very familiar. Not just a bit, Gav knew where it came from. The kind dude who had helped him rescue Kurt. Happy coincidence! As he pointed out that Blade wouldn't make the right choice by shooting down Trask, Gav agreed. "Guess I really didn't want to do it. Well I did, and do. But right now, I just wanted to feel in control." Said Gavin, turning back to the mutant line up.

He remained with his eyes locked on Bolivar. Gav managed to hear Kas come out of the fog. "Although it's the second time we have met, I believe I don't know your name. And you probably don't know mine." Said Blade, in a lower tone. He didn't say his name on purpose. If Kelly said a name that sounded right, Gavin would say his true name. Should Kas spit out a name that didn't sound all that real, "Blade" was gonna be the answer he would get.

Watching the other while he watched the MRD problem, Kas didn't do any more than half-heartedly shrug at Gavin's admittance of wanting to put a bullet through Trask-hole. It was a mutual feeling among any mutant who knew the man's name.
Speaking of names.. Kas wasn't paricular to giving his out to everyone, though Gavin seemed like a worthwhile exception.

"Yeah. I didn't exactly have the opportunity last time.." Correctly, he couldn't, but that need not be told.
"Kelly's the name. Most people call me Kas." Without stating reasons for such, he went on to address the grim situation below.
"Look, if you don't have a plan, there is one thing I could try. I can't say it will work 100 percent.. but it might leave an open for you to help them escape."
The line-up of mutants awaiting their sad fates to be decided might still have some chance, though it wasn't gauranteed. Kas was left with playing a wild-card, and hoping for some good results. Someone as capable as Blade made the odds seem worth giving it a try.

Gavin made his glasses tilt in his nose, hearing Kas. "Very well then. People call me Blade. But you can call me Gavin." Gav turned around again, now to survey the situation along with Kas. It seemed as the M.R.D guards were picking the strongest mutants. To what purpose? Gavin was sure neither him, nor Kelly knew. Well, he now intended on finding out. He was only sure it wasn't for a good reason. Why would it be.

Blade heard Kas's plan curiously. "Alright. I'm willing to take risks. What's the plan?" Gavin was ready for action. If the plan also involved Trask getting kicked in the face, it would be rather pleasing. From all those mutants, one seemed to grab more attention. Another black gentleman like Gaivn himself. Big gentleman. He had more then 2 guards around him. With several guns pointed at him. Should he be freed, he could help the evacuation. Before saying anything, Blade wanted to hear Kelly's Plan. Then maybe, they could incorporate the big guy into the plan.

Gav knew district X pretty well. Not as well as a resident, that he was sure off. Waiting on Kas's reply, his mind slowly dazed off to his encounter with Shikon. The violent one. Someone like him could ravage apart the soldiers. Create a fire snake or something close to it. Then again, so could Kelly. Create a wind snake. Make them loose their guns, and Blade would jump in. Adrenaline was setting inside him. Wondering what Kas's plan was gonna be. Gav would be ready for anything. Ready to do whatever he wanted. Whatever would help his kind. Anything...

Following Gavin's line of sight, Kas watched the big guy giving his two man guard hell. A short nod of aknowledgement to the perfunctory trade of names, and then without even so much as answering Gavin's latter question, Kas disappeared in an undramatic puff of smoke. He'd never been much for chatter, and holding a conversation took a large amount of concentration. That was energy put to better uses.
Unbeknownst to most, the cloudy mass hovered out to the middle of the lot, hanging over the MRD and their mutant hostages. When did anyone ever think to look up?

A faint, barely percieveable low rumble of displaced air was dismissed until things began to get eerily quiet. High pressure began to cover the area as the fog descended, making a single breath into a momentous effort.
The weighty feeling in the air grabbed everyone in the locality, producing the effect of suddenly becoming submerged in deep water. While the area-of-effect still included the other mutants, Kas was placing a gamble on the humans being among the first to drop from suffocation. Even if some of the mutants did succumb, at least there was Gavin and himself, and whoever was still up and mobile to get the rest to safety, or take out the rest of the exterminators.

Gavin watched as Kelly disappeared into his misty form again. It was rather intriguing how he could use his power. Being able to travel through the air whenever he felt like it. Whenever he needed to get some air. Indeed it was probably quite pleasing to be air itself. But now, they had a job to do, and Kas seemed to know how to use his powers for both leisure, and "work". And for what Gav had just watched, Kas looked like he knew what he was doing. Although Blade was skeptical at first, when Kelly used his powers effect also on the mutants, he understood his drift.

However, before leaping into action, he decided to play the waiting card. Letting Kelly know he was ready, by just signaling into the air. He was gonna wait to see what would happen. If the humans were the first to fall, it would be quite easy, but if the mutants came first, Gavin would surely help immediately. Gav looked down at the small chains some of the mutants were using, even that tough one. All seemed to not be able to withstand a slash of his katanas. The plan was now easy to follow, and Blade just hoped Kas understood what he was doing. He had taken Andre as a keen individual. Sharp would surely not disappoint him.

Knowing without words was sort of a talent for Kas. In actuality, he was glad that Gavin was deciding to wait.
Kas only had theorys on how this wide-spanning effect was going to work. In an enclosed room, or with a small group of humans; they normally fell into a deep sleep state within a minute. There was where he would stop, leaving the space closest to the ground untouched. This was involving thirty-plus people, in open air. This was going to extremes.

Steadily increasing from a faint rustle to a roar, the wind tore the breath from the lungs of at least ten. They instantly stopped what they were doing, frantically trying against impossibility to draw a breath. Others doubled over, some began coughing violently.
As the dust and smoke thinned, a dozen or so people were still standing in the haze, tripping over the others, most of them unable to see even inches in front of their faces. It was a deadly gamble, but Kas hoped that at least a few of the captive mutants had some ability that could turn an advantage.

Gavin nodded at the windy mess. "This seems to be the way to go." He saw a lot of mutants grasping for air, which began to worry him. He saw a particular one, being able to stand normally, which lead them to believe his powers could be much like Kas's. Still, he had to do something. Sitting around, waiting for something to happen, wasn't Gav's best idea of fun. Actually, it wasn't any fun.

While deep within his thought's, he was able to catch the sight of Bolivar Trask himself falling prey to Kelly's little move. If that move was designed to catch Trask or not, no matter which, it still did. The bastard seemed to be floating, moving his legs, with his hands by his neck. It was quite pleasing to watch.

He believed that a personal experience is one of the best ways to learn about life, which is way Trask was understanding how mutants felt. They all felt suffocated by the M.R.D and those alike them. Bolivar was know learning what it meant to be one of their kind. In a bad way.

Blade finally took action, and jumped down, pouncing on the strongest black gentleman, who seemed to easily remain on the ground. "Help has arrived". Said Gavin, cutting the guy's chains. He watched as he morphed into a lion, and ripped apart the M.R.D agent, floating in front of him. "Alright kiddo...help me take the others away." The somewhat scary Lion nodded, and turned into a giant ape. Grabbing his mutant comrades, and taking them out of Kas move's range. Blade barely held on, trying to get to Trask, as the wind came much stronger. That mutant that was able to hold on, was now free. And he seemed to want to kill everyone else. Gavin was able to hang on to a blade, coming of the floor. His hand was cut, but Bolivar was important. Important in the terms of being slapped of course.

He watched as the giant ape stopped the other mutant. Kas probably had felt that windy change. And Blade wondered how he felt about it. Letting go of the blade, Gavin gave himself impulse, by pushing the floor down. The floor was crushed, and it was even easier with all the commotion and wind. He flew towards Trask, and grabbed his Collar, throwing them both against a wall. "From Blade with love you son of a bitch!" Said Gavin, slapping Bolivar, so hard he broke the wall, and Trask flew up again. Gavin nodded, finally feeling the effects of Kelly's windy deeds. He tried to slash the air with his katana, which gave him enough time to notice nearly all mutants had escaped. The few that remained behind probably had a strange vendetta. But then again, so did Gavin.

In panic, many of the mutants swinged attacks at the M.R.D agents, that were still in the land of the living. Trask seemed to be unconscious from the bitch slap Gavin had given him. The mutants had been given a chance of revenge, so they were taking it. Kingsley, the shape shifting mutant rescued Gavin from being sucked out of his oxygen, and took him to safety as well. Out of the breath taking attack, Blade shouted. "You can drop them Kas. We got the mutants." As Gavin spoke, many mutants left. Afraid of what was to come.

Before Gavin finished the sentance, the uproar stopped. Kas unremarkably appeared out of nowhere, just in time to elbow an MRD grunt in the face while the man tried to radio in the status of their squad.
"Great. It's been fun!!" He addressed Gavin shortly, expecting him to go with the others.

Passing by Gavin as well as the shape-shifter, he hesitated near unconscious Trask-hole.
"Sorry punkass bitch!"
Dispensing completely with giving the man any honors and putting him out of the rest of the worlds' misery; Kas left Bolivar Trask with bruises and a few broken ribs to remember him by.

Moving on, Kas ran and jumped over several fallen bodies with a bemused smirk, as he left Gavin and his friends behind. He sprinted out to the middle of the road and stopped all of a sudden, apparently staring at something distant in the street. Something that thought it was getting away.
One sneaky bastard had managed to get away from the sleep-inducing fog, and drag a wiry brown-haired boy along. The kid never made a sound, or said a word, and they had escaped to one of MRD's waiting black personel vans.
A vehicle so crudely designed to get people from A to B wasn't ideal for making a fast, quiet retreat.

"Idiots.." Kas chuckled quietly, walking at a more reasonable pace. He didn't seem like someone with a real strategy, strolling with no apparent hurry down the middle of the road with no weaponry, or even any shoes.

Gavin watched curiously, as Kas believed he was leaving. There was no way in hell that was happening. Blade was having way too much fun. "Dude, you coming?" Asked Gav, directed towards the giant Kingsley. "Nah, I'm sticking around. These kids need me." Gavin nodded, as he understood completely what Kingsley meant. He himself took care of several hurt mutants. As they all should. Those who can not use their powers normally, will eventually need help, whatever they like it or not. It was just a truth they couldn't deny.

Gav looked around, and spotted the mist disappearing way up ahead. He saluted Kingsley, and started to run towards the place the mist had flown off too. There were an immense amout of bodies on the floor. He laughed as he saw the unconscious Bolivar Trask, with what you could call a rather bad condition to be. Blade kept pouncing on the bodies, getting closer to Kelly.

He looked over at what Kelly was doing. Going down the street, pretty much calm. Weirdly. He got closer to him, keeping his distance. As Kas was going down the street, Blade was doing the same. Around 10 feet away from him. Wonder what he is up to? What was in front of Kas wasn't able to be seen by Gavin. He was curious about what he had in mind, so he kept on his tracks.

There was no telling if Kas knew he was being followed, at first. His eerie sense of undisturbed peacefulness continued, and quiet settled heavily in a space where footsteps belonged.

Everything surrounding them changed within a matter of seconds. The atmosphere turned weighty and fog condensed in midair, though it yeilded no humidity or feelings of cooling respite; only a biting lack of breathability. Dizziness was the first symptom among many that humans would feel. More resilient people or those with training could hang on a few minutes, but they too eventually passed out from the lack of oxygen.
Those that stayed awake felt as if they were in another place, or even dead already.
A colorless, noiseless, breathless world. Nothing moved. Silhouettes of the buildings, cars, street lights and utility poles stayed solidly in place.. Gray, hazy and stagnating. Except for one shadow, which disappeared almost instantly in the murkiness. Muffled sounds of screeching tires and a flurry of gunshots echoed further ahead after what seemed like eternity, then the inpenetrable fog began to dissipate.

Stopped precariously down the road in the center of the right lane, and straddling the curb with one wheel on the footway, was a featureless black van with its sliding side door cracked partly open.
Curled up on the ground beneath it, shivering and crying, was a skinny brown-haired fourteen year old boy. He called out to the quiescent city street.
"He-elloo?"

As the environment Blade found himself in, quickly changed, he tried to adapt to it. The atmosphere wasn't a true problem, and Gavin was used to the humidity. Surprisingly, there was none on the air, as it seemed the fog was more suffocating than cooling, Although Gavin was still able to stand and breath. He figured that would work better on weaklings, like humans, and other such creatures. He was indeed, sure the M.R.D Agents that, probably still laid around that area, were soon to fall prey to the fog's expanding.

Blade enjoyed quiet places. Noisy places and others of such were quite the bore for him.
In this now, extremely quiet world, he was quite happy. As everything was stopped. He couldn't even see his own shadow on the ground. He did, however, catch a glimpse of another shadow. He figured that was the one who caused the fog. Kas. Gav was happy gunshots were in the air. So it seemed, the fun hadn't left just yet.

Blade rushed a bit, towards a black van."Idiots can't use anything else. Figures" He whispered. He didn't exactly know where Kelly was, but what he did now, is that a boy was under the van. Why would he let him there? Even being a human, he would help. It's a kid. But perhaps, he wasn't one. Maybe, he was one of them. So, Blade quickly ran towards the van. The fog was interrupted, by a blow of wind within it. Gav thought it was ironic how he disliked the wind, but could cause it so easily. He curled under the van as well. One single movement, and the van would fly away. "Hey kid, ready to go?"

The kid merely whimpered in startlement, raising his arms weakly as the van tumbled away overhead.
He was pale and clammy, and none of what he said made a bit of sense. The kid's glassy eyes were darting everywhere, while he shivered uncontrollably, slowly sitting up.
He managed to focus on the pair of boots before him, and cough, holding his sides.
"What-- happened?" A raspy, labored whisper asked, while one hand moved to his throat as if the words were choking him.

Before breath could be drawn to answer, the wrecked van violently exploded in a fireball.
Without any sound or movement to mark his presence, a flare of light from the fuel igniting made a shadow visable, though little else. A concentration of fog lingered, forming an insubstancial mass that resembled the shape of a person.
The ghost was standing next to them, and raised one arm to point to something on the ground; something small and metallic that cast a faint reflection of the orange flames.

Gavin smiled seeing the kid wimped. He sat down, slowly. Not to make the kid panic. What with everything that took place on that forsaken place, the little skinny kid mustn't had been feeling the best. He felt as the kid was in an extreme need of protection, as he was probably fragile. Whatever had happened to him. It occurred to him that he wasn't really that old, so he probably couldn't withstand as much pain as an older man, or boy.

Realizing that the importance of people's ages had a factor in their innocence and fragility. Seemed like Gavin should've learned that much longer ago, but it was rather interesting as he didn't care enough to even try to realize such an easy thing. Some epiphanies come late. "Kid, I'm probably as clueless as you are. But I couldn't let a kid be under a van alone." Said Gavin, noticing the van explode. What the fuck... He thought.

As the deep fog, along with the light of the fire made a silhouette appear, Gavin watched the fire. He had always enjoyed the fire, and the complexity it had. He looked over at the humanly silhouette, as he thought of the only person that wasn't there. Kas. With slow and heavy steps, he got up. Looking over at the direction, the now denser ghost was pointing at. "What in the hell..." Something on the ground, reflecting the flames. Gavin had no idea what it was, since there was still some fog in the air. Covering his eyes a bit and, cleaning his shades. He had taken them off, and put them on again a lot while in the fog. He looked back at what he believed was Kas's shaddow. He shrugged, not knowing what was on the ground.

Blade's questions were only compounded as the kid saw the 'ghost' lingering nearby, and began to scoot away on his rear. Still shivering, the boy coughed, halting everything while he was wracked with a horrible coughing fit that made him sound like an 80-year old who had been smoking most of his life.

In the meanwhile, the vague swirling shadowy shape Gavin had correctly identified as Kas stepped back a few paces. The small object he'd been pointing at suddenly seemed to move of its own accord, sliding across the pavement until it bumped into Blade's foot. A metallic case that looked like it could fit a phone fell open as it stopped, spilling its contents. One hypodermic needle, capped and loaded with some form of bright yellow chemical injection. It was unmarked, but more of the injections had clearly been there, as one of the caps to keep the needle sterile was suspiciously left behind in the case.
The fog thinned out even more around them as natural weather patterns resumed thier movement. A short distance from Gavin and the unnamed boy, the mist figure crouched down, drawing attention again to the objects at Gavin's feet.

"Take it with you."
A disembodied voice suggested, barely above a whisper.
"but don't use it." he added. If Kas learned anything about the real world, it was that one couldn't assume common sense was indeed so common.

Blade was a bit surprised at the kid's cough. Had he been suffering some kind of torture, or was he extremely sick? Such cough was preoccupying, but now, Gavin was more intrigued with what was that metallic object. The kid would be tended to later. But he was still a top priority. Although information about him was still dark.

Blade noticed the shadow withdraw from his current place. That small object made a small grinding noise, as it hit Gavin's black boot. The big metallic case spurted out it's cargo. The same was even more puzzling. A needle was usually medical equipment, meaning it usually wouldn't be found on the ground, close to a black M.R.D van. Had that needle been used on the kid? Or others? The second question drove around Blade's mind as he noticed another needle cap. With no other needle around. Definitely, there had been more than one needle there. So they could have been used to change the kid somehow. M.R.D Bastards!
As the fog was reduced, and the wind was blasting the air once again, to the irritation of Blade, he noticed the shadow bending down. Pointing at the captivating objects by Gav's foot.

Take it with you...but don't use it. Was what Gavin heard. He was unsure of what to do. He would, of course, take those items, but even if he wanted to, he didn't knew in what to use them. Gavin picked up the metallic entity, with carefulness. "I shall hold on to it..." Blade got up, slowly. "...any idea what this is supposed to be?" It was probably a troubling question, as Gav thought not even Kas knew why in god's name were those things there, at that time. Of course there was a chance he could be wrong.

Looking down on the kid, Gavin awaited Kelly's answer. He was also expecting no reply. Since Sharp was a perplex individual. In a way, Blade could understand his own way of doing things. Being away and close from people at the same time, was a nice plan. Kas probably understood a lot about people just by watching them in his misty form. He was a truly surprising person.

As Gavin half expected, at first there was no answer.
"It must- - *cough* be why the-" The kid sputtered and coughed again. He tried to answer Blade, but choked instead. Another voiceless whisper finished the thought.

Kas projected an explaination that carried to Gavin, and no further.
"I believe this is the latest of the greatest.. If MRD is authorized to pack it, then the testing phase is going better than I heard." Rolling and surging in place, the smoky apparition broke apart much like a wave in the ocean.

Nearby, the brown-haired teenage boy managed to breathe evenly. He slowly began to get up, wiping his hands across his pants legs and leaving behind a red streak. The kid's pale face was steadily regaining its color.

The wind continued to whisper, though any other signs of Kelly's presence had vanished.
"This is the newest modern science race. Uncle Sam is offering some big numbers for any corperate producers to develop a 'cure' for our mutated DNA, and make it ready for everyone who wants it."
An unfluctuating thudding rhythm shook the ground.
Getting to his feet and wobbling as a newborn lamb taking its first steps, the kid started to walk away from the burning vehicle.

"I'll bet they will be mass-producing the Cure in just a few months."
This sinister news caught no time for contemplation.
"Do you hear that?" Finally able to end a sentance, the brown-haired kid listened in horror to the approaching booming noise, closely reinacting a famous scene from Jurassic Park.

Gavin was a bit relieved to see the kid not cough as much. He was able to say some words, but he should keep quiet. He shouldn't be wasting his energy. Gav placed his hand in a stop sign, so the kid would remain silent. He still was not sure what to do with the kid. And he would make sure to question Kelly Andre Sharp about it. He did also hope to get an answer.

He was quite interested to hear what Kelly had to say about the weird objects that they were discussing. If he did have an idea of what they were, it would be enlightening. Gavin himself started to have some ideas. But what Kas had in mind was beyond what he thought. What many mutants only named "It". A terrifying idea, that would one day turn very solid and real, as every mutant knew, but only some admitted it.

Blade kept hearing the wind float around, muttering with it's own words. Kelly was nowhere to be seen, but Gavin had just heard him. He was definitely still around. He heard Kas with a big amount of attention. When he said, those who wanted were the ones who would get said cure, Gavin knew that wasn't gonna be the case. Because not all people would just rest around while mutants weren't being cured. Bastards, like the one Gavin had met earlier. Wait until Trask hears about this. If he doesn't know it already... He thought.

Blade looked at the boy, as he got up, seeming to be leaving. He should stay around, and Gavin was about to go right after him. Before doing so, however, Kelly spoke to him yet again.Mass Producing...half of us would be done for. "I still think-..." Gavin's sentence was interrupted by the thin kid."What's that...?" Muttered Gav, looking over at where the noise was coming from.

"I'm going home!" The kid declared, jogging away a few steps before apparently tripping over his own feet and hitting the ground again. "Owww!!"

There was a ripple of movement in the air, and the blurred shadow appeared, half-formed and standing over the boy who tried to run away.
"It's not hunting you."
Relaying this fact only seemed to put the kid more at unease as he yelped out loud.

"That ghost again! Don't hurt me! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to! I swear!"
An awkward second passed while the kid balled himself up in the fetal position, and Kas tried to figure out what he meant.

Then something bright streaked over a building like a space rocket taking off. It hovered in the sky for a moment, then cut its engines and sailed down to the street.
A crashing boom hit the pavement, shaking everything. Glass windows, probably some of the few left unbroken in District X, shattered in a nearby building. A feminine scream echoed from within.

Towering over them was a giant metal man. Slightly smaller and sleeker than before, this one also had a nicer paint job and as it turned to focus on the trashed van, its movements weren't as clunky as the Sentinel they had seen ransacking the District before.

"TARGET ACQUIRED" An ominous computerized voice reported, facing to look down on Blade as it raised a giant hand.

Gavin felt a bit like laughing, but the situation didn't call for it. He did smirk over the sight of the kid trying to fend for himself, and easily fall to the ground. "Kid, less noise." He said. If there was something searching for them, it would surely come quicker with the kid yelling out "oww's" and such.

Blade heard what the deformed cloudy shadow heard. Hunting? Could it be...Gavin thought. Was that noise being made by the now, possibly, most terrifying being for mutants. The sentinel. The project that single handily had killed hundreds of mutants already. They are here? Again? Last time it seemed to go quite normal. But we were more.

He smirked even more noticing the boy be afraid of Kas. Gavin got on his knee. "Kid, ghost is friendly. He isn't gonna-..." Blade tried to explain, but was interrupted by the noise of heavy machinery. He looked up, surprised at the how quick that thing moved. Easily landing, without difficulties. Gav looked over at the building that seemed to be most affected by the arrival of the metallic being. The scream worried him, but he had a much bigger problem

This sentinel was a bit smaller than the few ones Gavin had crossed paths with. And seemed to be quicker, and perhaps more agile. Gav looked in the same direction it did. The van?... He thought. What was it looking for? If he was looking for offscourings, he could go right ahead and take the trashed van. For all Blade cared.

It hit Blade quite quick, that the van belonged to the M.R.D. Machine wants revenge? As he heard that gigantic up roaring by the machine, he rolled on the floor, looking up again. It was now coming for him. What in the heck? He still had to do the same thing he had done before.

He and Kas had already made a sentinel go down, they could do it again. "Hey Kas...we gonna take this bastard down or what?" He asked finally smiling. He looked a this hand. The cure thing. Damn...he wants this, certainly. Blade got closer to the kid again, holding out the   metallic objects he had picked up before. "Stay with this, would you kindly?"

Clasping the diminutive metallic case in one hand, the kid scrambled to his feet, nodding at the guy who he'd previously thought of as scary. He looked toward the giant robot that was targeting Blade, and the kid's eyes teared up. Taking a shaky breath, he ran to hide in the entryway of an abandoned office across the street.

The Sentinel robot took a step toward its next intended kill, raising a hand big enough to make a grown man look like a child's toy. Its eyes flared with red light as lasers armed, preparing to fire.
As the assult-bot raised its colossal foot to take another step, a thundering sound boomed three times, rattling the air and everything that wasn't tied down. Veering to one side, the Sentinel nearly stumbled. Kas refused to let up until the thing was down. Another series of blasts shook the atmosphere, knocking the giant further off-balance.

Lasers raked across a building, tearing away the outer walls and setting the insulation on fire as the robot teetered over. Just at the last second before it fell, the Sentinel activated its thrusters for a short burst, grabbing ahold of a nearby wall to pull itself up, and stand solid on its feet.

A distinctive loud, low buzzing hum began to radiate from the huge mechanized terror as it resumed its attack, turning its attention to Gavin again.

Gavin grinned as the kid did what he had said. A strange thing for a kid to do, as usually, little boys and girls weren't fond of having him around. Mostly because he scared the living crap out of them. But that wasn't exactly his fault, as his presence was what disturbed most of them. Others were just plain, little assholes and smart asses that thought  they knew every thing, the common day bully.

Gavin, a man with no fears, himself took a few steps back, as the enormous being was still targeting him.  Even after he had gotten rid of the supposed cure, the mechanical structure was still moving towards his current position. No matter where Blade ran off too. Its red eyes were perhaps, even more frightening, but Blade wasn't gonna give up. With Kelly there, they'd raise more than a can of whoop ass on any brain free robot that came at them.

Seeing the sentinel get of the balance such machine praises, led him to believe Kas was indeed executing his move, finally helping the gentleman, also known as Blade, that had helped him before. Of course he was thankful for that all out wind change, that nearly took Gavin of his feet.

Gavin looked over at the building, remembering another time he had actually seen something close happen. A fight between the original X-Men and perhaps Magneto, as Blade didn't have an extremely big amount of memory about it. Magneto had moved nearly an entire building towards a girl named Jean, and cyclops tried to deflect it by blasting it away. The blast was smaller than the one he had seen in the present, as he still remembered that summers and Jean were saved by Gambit. The fine poker man.

Snapping back into reality, Gavin was ready to strike the sentinel down, no matter what happened in between. He was still extremely curious as to why he was being the most targeted, but it would most likely be known later. Blade moved close to an abandoned building and tore a piece of its fence out. He hurled it at the mechanical object, at the place of it, mutants called face.

As anything from that robot could be considered human. After throwing the piece of steel floor at the sentinel, Blade jumped through the layers of the air, and used the impulse of the rest of the fence to hurl himself, at the machine's leg, so it could fall faster. Looking up, while in his dive, he saw the piece of floor fall down. "Kas, Use the air to throw that at his face." He said, finally hitting the robot, trying to run through it.
