The cops made their way to the station, pulling out a young mutant girl they had brought in on 'suspicion' to do wrong. Cyclops was right, Niko thought sadly, recalling a recent article he'd read about the former X-Men leaders guerrilla tactics to save the endangered mutant community.

Niko was ready to subdue these flat cops, and get a little workout in. He powered up with his 'AnVi' band, knowing most cops had metallic bullets that would just dissolve when it came in contact. With no mutants, Niko had no other powers to synergize with. But Niko didn't worry much, knowing his power was more than enough.

As he powered up and got ready to save the young mutant girl he'd see get hauled inside, he thought he saw a man out of his peripheral view. He turned, and the man wasn't there anymore. But Niko swore he saw him. Must be gettin' jittery, after allI, he thought as he made his way to the station doors. Niko opened the doors, expecting surprised officers to act out in fear.

The police did not disappoint, as they drew their weapons and told Niko to freeze. "Move and we will open fire.", said one scared cop. Niko moved, which did not sit well with the trigger happy flatscans. The bullets never penetrated, and Niko started tossing officers out of his way.
Piece of cake, Niko thought. Everything was going smooth.

Until he heard one officer scream "Call the MRD!", which meant Niko was on borrowed time. He had dealt with the MRD, and knew they would stop at nothing to take him in. Withing a minute, Niko heard the distinctive wail of many MRD Strike Force vans. Niko had no time, and needed to get to that girl.

Neal was furious to see a mutant caught by these human cops. He knew what the hell was going on. Neal shook his head. One question that had been bugging him for years was why no cops or anyone in Authority had ever been tried to stop seizing mutants. It was pretty obvious, they had no chance of winning against them.

It was clear, there was widespread fury with mutants. Neal encountered many folks saying, "We are all angry at all members of mutantkind. We are telling them that time is up." Some even said that mutants should be ashamed of  themselves. Neal thought that if these human beings wanted the mutants to perish, these humans should be the ones to perish first.

"Jail her!" Cried someone from the people who were outside the police station. Neal sighed. As long as many of people were so dumb like these cops, the inept government could always manipulate their minds. And given the temptation of control and authority they enjoy, Neal did not see any hope for them to reform themselves. And for this reason, he very much wanted to end their tyranny. He just despised all of them.

Neal stood in the post near the station, looking in at the ruckus that was going on in there. Just as a man who appeared to be deep in thought was about to enter in the said station, he glanced at him. Although Neal never went into hiding, he decided to vanish from his sight. He was not sure if he was a cop or not so it was better to be safe. Many mutants had gone into hiding after learning that M.R.D. had ordered mass mutant arrest. Neal was different. He never kept under the radar and avoided publicity. Actually, he was very visible that he was always on the run every time someone recognized or identified him.

Neal walked closer to the station with the intention to save the girl. Quite frankly, he was going to rescue her in order for him to recruit her in Brotherhood. He was slowly opening the doors when gunshots and simultaneous attacks from inside nearly threw Neal off his feet. "Damn them!" He cursed. Bits of concrete and dust dropped from somewhere above him, the lights inside flickered, then went out completely.

"Call the MRD!" He heard. Neal composed himself. Grinning slightly he pushed back his hood, and he kept going in the station.

Niko was practically invulnerable to bullets, since the Antarctic Vibranium he was mimicking dissolving the bullets once they touched. The screams of calling the MRD made him stop and think about his next move. He wanted to free the mutant girl and lead her to freedom, but the MRD was going to make that difficult. They would easily kill them both without hesitation.

Niko decided to get to the holding cell as soon as possible. He broke down the door leading to the corridors. Was she in the left, or the right corridor? How would he know where they placed her. He looked to see where the most officers were coming from. It was his experience that they would put added security on mutants.

A squad of armed guards came out of the left side, confirming the mutant's location. Although he was invulnerable to their firepower, his punches wouldn't do much on their bulletproof vests. Niko began taking out their legs with steel-reinforced kicks, taking the officers down.

Niko went to the holding cell. He looked at the cell roster. Walden II, Mora Elizabeth was the subject. He looked in the cell, and saw the girl he saw getting hauled off earlier. She looked at him and he noticed her right eye was purple. She was chained up and had a collar on her neck, which had a worn MRD logo imprinted on it. No doubt it was the reason she couldn't use her powers.

Niko put his hand on the lock, dissolving it until there was a hole in its place. he opened the door and told her "I'm Niko, and I wanna get you out." Before she had a chance to respond, the building shook. Niko felt his heart sink as he realized they were too late. The MRD was on them. Niko went to dissolve the collar so Mora could fight on her own, only to find that the collar wasn't a metal alloy. He had to protect Mora, but didn't know how to escape.

Neal had kicked in every window in the Police Station and was now inside doing an aweful crime, as who would care when there were so many stations about? Blowing up chairs, desks, cracking mirrors, splitting floorboards. And hurling the cops who were trying to shoot him.

Shaking his head to clear the loud bangs, the emergency light over the last smashed thick gray steel door, snapped on. Neal wondered what kind of weapon would have done it. It was dreadfully wrecked.

He took a few moments to let his head clear, then generate lightning pulse and headed toward the light. At first, Neal's lightning pulse went wild, aiming his hand at the bodies on the floor, deciding that he was going to burn anyone who suddenly attacked or appeared. Neal knew that someone had already got in there and perhaps tried or was trying to save the mutant. That's the most possible theory that Neal could ever think of by now. The corridor just turned into a maze of flickering lights, leaking pipes and broken glasses.

Going in through the unconscious or perhaps dead cops, Neal quickly found himself staring at a cell. The guard's desk near the cell was unmanned, the cell was open. There's a bed, a monitor and an environmental regulator.

And there's a man and a girl inside.

Niko saw a man come into view of the cell, and he jumped into action. It was the man from outside he thought he saw.

"No one is going to hurt her or take her away." He growled menacingly. "Not you or any of your MRD bitches." He helped Mora up and placed her behind his steel-plated body. This man had no chance of getting to her now.

But this man didn't look surprised. He was calm, even among the chaos going on in the police station. Is he a mutant?, Niko thought. What is he doing here? Does he mean to do us harm?

Niko wanted to hear the man out, but it had to be quick. Too much fluff and Niko would have to assume it was a diversion from the MRD to keep him locked in the building. If it wasn't convincing, he was not coming near the girl.

Putting his meanest face on display, Niko said "You have once chance to convince me NOT to punch a hole through you!"

Neal sighed. Another epic way to go and save someone.

When the man thought he was with the M.R.D., Neal's eyes widened. What on earth was he saying? He ran his fingers trough his hair, trying to imagine how would they escape. It seemed the guy had no idea how. He didn't dare to ask the man what was his reason of rescuing the girl. Was he one of the X-Men?

Neal scowled a little bit. "What the hell's eatin' you? You seems in panic."

After Neal finished his words, he heard something. No SOMEONE. He turned his head to the source of the sound. Footsteps and voices. Neal swallowed his quick grin and said, "Come 'on let's go to the basement! Quick!" Neal exchanged a glance with the girl and Neal smiled. He was not planning a rescue operation but an attempt to entrap the girl until he convinced her to join the Brotherhood.

Neal started walking when suddenly two M.R.D. soldiers appeared aiming what look like AK-47's with long banana-shaped magazines at them. Shots rang out, and Neal instinctively dropped to the ground, using the corpse of the cop as a shield in front of him. "Dock!" Neal bellowed as he hurled a lightning bolt at one of them, which made the man flung and slammed his head against the wall.

The M.R.D. had pushed their way through. Instinctively, Niko pushed Mora back into the cell for safety. He got in front of the new guy who just shot lightning out of his hands, in case he had a severe allergic reaction to bullets.

Niko knew by now that it would take the troops a few minutes to realize his material composition and that they needed to change weapons into Non-Metallic Alloy shells in order to punch holes through him, and Niko decided to capitalize on that. He told the other mutant to grab the girl and he started making a mad dash towards the doors. A wave of bio-mech troops came in and started wailing on Niko.

Niko thought they would melt upon contact with his skin, but as the mechanized warrior punched him, the force sent Niko flying back a bit. "Why the hell is he not dissolving?", he shouted to no one in particular. He realized there was a section of its fist that was flapped open, and got the answer right away. Non-metallic coating, probably to stop the likes of metal-benders, he thought of the blind girl from that benders show.

Niko unsheathed the two Viper katanas he had strapped to his back, and decided to take a more traditional approach to this fight. He unleashed death as he slashed into 3 mech suits, impaling their pilots. Another two got their limbs chopped of, making them fall and Niko was tempted to yell TIMBER!

He was battling another as he saw bolts of lightning hit some more troops. I need to syn with THAT power!, he thought. As he watched a few soldiers get zapped, he saw one stealthily coming in from the side of them to grab the girl.

He was distracted long enough to be hit with a magnetic pulse that carried him into the wall. Well, they figured Antarctic Vibranium can still be picked up by magnetic energy, he thought, pissed. He yelled at the other mutant to watch the girl!

The mutant moved swiftly now combating bio-mech troops. He realized the guy's body could mimic metallic properties.

Neal was about to grab the dead cop by the jacket and drag the body to the cell when the mutant told him to take care of the girl inside the cell. Neal glanced at the mutant and he was  shock when he saw him flying back a bit. Neal smirked, he spread his arms and a rushing winds came rapidly. The sky outside formed a pillar of dark clouds, forming a somewhat like a tornado.

"Take this fellers!" He screamed as the tornado touched down in the station and ripped through some of it's room. There was noise from it and he glimpsed some troops trying to get out of the way as vast quantities of dusts, glass and even furniture came flying and raining around them.

"Bye, bye fellers." He muttered as he dragged the corpse out. "Let's get outta here." He said, helping the girl to her feet, but something creaked and she moaned in pain.

Neal dropped the dead body, blasted a hole in the wall with use of his lightning. He went back to the corpse and grabbed the MP5's and web belts full of ammunition. He clipped one ammo pack to his belt. Instinctively, while the tornado was still ruining the building, he immediately opened the bolt of the rifle, checked it, pulled out a magazine, tapped it, inserted it into the breech, slapped the bottom to seat it properly, then flipped the bolt closed. The actions seemed so natural, so fluid, and so swift that Neal surprised even himself.

With the rifle in his right hand, Neal carefully assisted the girl with his left and began his dangerous treck, leaving the mutant alone.

Magnetized and held aloft, Niko was left at the mercy of the M.R.D. Showing trust in others had been stupid. And what was it about that mutant that invoked mistrust in him since the first moment he walked through the cell door? He hadn't seen that mutant before, or had he? Everything from that battlefield is still fuzzy, he thought to himself as he tried to come up with a plan.

But that plan didn't form quick enough, and the M.R.D. had a weapon at its' disposal. That weapon was a congealed form of The Cure gas he was exposed to at the Masquerade Ball. They managed to make it an effective and manageable neutralizer he thought as he powered down. Now at the mercy of the M.R.D., he was bound and beaten repeatedly. He started slipping into the darkness, hearing only bits of plans against his race.

His final thoughts before being shoved into the M.R.D. containment unit was for the safety of the poor Mora. As he slipped the final time, he heard thunder and felt the flash of lightning. His mind recalled the pain from his synergy overload. A bolt of lightning. A grin. Evil.

Mora had been hurt, and imprisoned within herself. Her 'friend' was gone, and she felt alone. Mora heard gunshots and battle sounds, but felt it as though in a haze.

She was taken out of her cell by a shiny boy, and led away from the battle by a grinning man. Her world was chaotic, and she wanted to let the rest of this planet feel her chaos. Where was she, and what was going to happen to her?

She started to come to a bit from that sluggish veil, and thought We need to save that boy. But her feet went in the direction the grinning man took her, and would not follow her commands. That boy would be dissected and experimented on, and all because she got captured and he tried to help.

Isn't the Grinning Man his friend?, she thought puzzled. He'll go back to get that boy if he needs help, right?, she hoped, and then the veil consumed her.

Chaos invited her, and her fragile mind needed just another push. Sammy was there, calling to her in the distance. Sammy was a warrior-born female, and wanted Mora to be the same. Mora was scared to become like Sammy. Sammy was bad -- the gluttonous wolf within her soul, wanting to feel and revel in chaos.

And Sammy wanted control.

Neal suddenly felt an unexplainable emotion while he and the girl were running. He was no psychic but he could sense something wrong might gonna happened. He looked at the girl. She seemed she was still in a haze and couldn't decipher what the hell was really happening.

He ran rapidly, leaving people shocked as he was almost dragging the girl and he had a big gun. Suddenly, Neal saw an M.R.D. car break way from a curb with a wild swerve, straighten up and lay on speed. The driver's window was down, and there was someone sitting there showing up his riffle to throw unimpeded burst of incredibly rapid bullets. Motion seemed to be slowed down. He was yelling, falling and grabbing at the suit of the girl all at once, then he was twisting in the air as more bullets were thrown directly over their heads.

He stood up with the girl when the M.R.D. guards from the car came out, their guns in their fist. Neal's action had blown the guard rhythm, he pushed them away using a mighty gust of wind and ran towards their car. While the bodies was still flying, it was all over, the M.R.D. car squealed around the corner and was gone.

A sharp turn brought Niko into a moment of consciousness. The Lightning Guy had Mora and would probably hurt her, and he was being hauled off into hell. Niko was scared. He'd heard tales of the M.R.D. He was not ready to die.

Niko had just be reacquainted with his best friend and teacher, Axe. He had the AoE members too, like his other brother Archard and even the nutjob Dragon. He didn't know what he felt at the diner when he saw Eris with Neal, but she was still a friend in his book.

And then there was Natalie. He never got the right moment to tell her how much he cared. He longed for the cold touch her fingers provided on his metallic skin, the current that ran through the two of them during quality moments. And now, he'd die. Without ever knowing what it truly was she felt for him.

Gods, please let me die quick at least!, he prayed, hoping at least one would listen.

(OOC: I am being hauled off, Neal has Mora to use for the brotherhood. I think this could end the thread and start your breaking of Mora and my time in the M.R.D.. Your thoughts, Neal?)
