Briana couldn't believe she was doing this. She wasn't the 'make waves' kind of person, but sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do. And this time, it was a request....

Entering The Institute, Briana's eyes swept the halls searching for a perfect candidate for the plan set before her. Someone strong and powerful... A big bad guy... There weren't too many students around, which was a good thing, she thought, but made her task a little more difficult. But then her eyes fell on a tall, well built boy. The halls, dark hair, black converse trainers... This was the one from the vision she had only moments ago, he was the one. Taking a deep breath, Briana made her way to him...

Feigning a trip, she smashed into him and, using her telekinetic power, caused the rug under his feet to catch and trip him. Both of their bodies crashed to the ground... She heard a growl escape the boy under her as she spoke, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to run into you-" Briana didn't get the chance to finish her apology before she was roughly shoved off of him. "Why don't you watch where you're-" he said firmly, before his brown eyes spotted hers. "Hey, if it isn't the freakiest freak of them all. What, only one of your eyes work at a time?" he scoffed at her. "Both my eyes work just fine, thank you. At least I'm not a giant oaf who thinks an accident was done on purpose. Anger issues much?" she spat back.

Briana didn't know what happened next, but she felt it. Stars flashed before her eyes and the back of her head ached. As her vision cleared, she Briana started to see why. He had not just shoved her, but slammed her into the wall, hard, after her comments to him. "Sassy little bitch. You want to see anger issues? I'll show you anger issues. No one just crashed into me and walks away after running their mouth like that," the boy growled to her and she saw his hand light with red flames. As he neared her, Briana pushed herself as close to the wall as she could get.... Anytime would be great, Silus...

She did her part of the bargain, now all he had to do was let it play out and she’d understand exactly WHY he was a bad guy. He wasn’t able to be seen, he was still around the corner, and he heard everything going down. What kind of “nice" person puts a nice girl like her up to this and leaves her to dry. Silus turned to walk away from the event and he groaned. ”Damnit...what kinda guy DOES do that?...Oi Vey...I can hear it already See I knew you weren’t bad” Or something to that effect. Silus rubbed his eyes and took in a deep breath, and walked around the corner as if he were just striding in. The other students around that noticed him all got wide-eyed and seemed to back away. Unfortunately for the bully, his back was to Silus, so he didn’t have a chance to know about what was happening. Silus pretended to only observe for a second, arching an eyebrow. He looked around and sighed, the second he sighed his eyes began to shine their supernatural emerald color as he walked up.

The built kid brought his arm back. Was this dirtbag REALLY about to hit her? When his arm reached the full strain of it’s drawback, Silus grabbed his bicep, gripping like a vice. Immediately his powers took their effect, and the built kid had already lost. The built kid was too shocked, or scared. Suddenly reliving memories, suddenly forgetting details as his psyche began to soak in. For this kid it probably felt like a small life-time, but in truth Silus had only touched him for a second. The kid being shocked into this state made him much more off guard, Allowing Silus to pull the bicep and pull the kid away from Bri, throwing him at the lockers across the hall. Silus chuckled and but his fist in his hand, with a crack of the knuckles he twisted his neck and sighed.

”Some one said it was the freakiest of freaks...Well...I’m here, the hell do ya want?” Silus asked. The kid finally snapped back to his senses and he immediately picked up who was talking to him. Silus had an intimidation factor, one that was enough to scare people who were much stronger than him. Having part of his very essence drained from him first hand was enough to scar the kid for life, and maybe even scare him to death’s threshold. The look Silus was getting right now was just that though...utter hatred and terror all mixed together. The kid hated Silus and was scared of him, maybe even to the point of fighting back, but Silus wasn’t about to back down to this punk.

"I was talking to that bitch, not you!" The kid said in his defense. Silus groaned and rubbed his temples like he were having a headache.

”I-I really. That’s really your defense!?” Silus asked with a little laugh of disbelief. ”Look...okay, I can’t blame you. No really, I can’t. You gotta beat up the girls ‘cuz I mean, even a thing like you needs some semblance of self-respect. But honestly you should be starting with something more basic, like actually learning how to throw a punch. Now, how about you stand your dumbass up, go to class, and please for the sake of everyone with eyes lay off the roids...they’re obviously not helping you. You’re STILL a pathetic piece of trash.” Silus concluded. He turned and walked up to Briana and smirked, he started to walk away, half expecting to find fire shooting out at him, if that guy gets back up, things might get interesting.

Briana closed her eyes tightly and put a hand up in defense, waiting for the blow from either the fire he was making or his hand, whichever. This was a mistake... Hearing a crash across from her, she opened her eyes to see Silus had thrown the boy against the lockers. His eyes were glowing the green she had seen on the hiking trail. What was his power? How could he be stronger than that brute? She listened as Silus confronted the boy telling herself to get up, but being unable to as she just watched the situation unfold before her eyes.

As he finished and walked up to her, Briana's looked up at him and caught his smirk before he turned to walk away. He had only gotten a few feet away, when the boy, already fueled with anger from Briana crashing into him and now this guy showing him up and talking all high and mighty to him, steadied himself and roared. "What do you care if I rough her up a little? Might teach her to keep out of the way of people that are higher on the food chain than she is. So, what's it to you?" he began. As Silus' words sunk in, he held up his hand and said, "Learn to throw a punch? I'll show you a punch!" As he spoke his last word, a ball of red flame when sailing towards Silus' back.

"LOOK OUT!" Briana cried to the one who had saved her, throwing her right arm and hand out as if her telekinesis could stop the fire.

"Food chain? You ain't that bright kid, 'cuz you're back-talking the Apex predator." Silus scoffed. Why did he care? Good question, one that Silus himself really didn't have an answer for. 'Cuz it's the right thing to do I guess... He thought to himself. Whatever the reason was he needed to fire out an answer quick, before this dumb punk came to his own conclusion and spread rumors about him going soft, or him having a new girlfriend. "I don't care, you're just fucking pathetic" He snapped, feeling more and more on edge. He didn't like being like this... he's sworn more in the past three minutes than he had in his entire life up until this point. It really irked him, seeing as he rather hated swearing in excess.

"LOOK OUT!" Briana yelled as Silus kept on his track. The first thing you learn about being a "tough guy" when someone says look out, you don't actually LOOK, rather you should react. He was a little late to the draw though, he tried to drop to the floor, but he suddenly felt a strong shove to his back that sent him into the wall and then onto the ground. Soon the burning sensation that made him take in sharp breaths through gritted teeth and the aroma of burning leather filled the air. Silus hopped up to his feet and ripped off his burning jacket and growled in pain as he felt the heat welt on his back forming. The burn went through most of the thick leather, but thankfully he only got through the shirt, the heat welt would blister, but for now it was only going to be annoying. Silus bit his lower lip and chuckled as he looked at the guy who attacked him. He noticed that...Bri had actually held back some of the pyro blast. He MIGHT have to thank her later.

"Alright then...we can play it this way, ya pyro-punk." Silus snickered as he took off running as fast as he could towards the Pyrokinetic, eyes flashing green. Silus knew to expect a fireball to the face, thankfully the years of baseball helped him out letting him slide down and throw a foot at the guys shins.

"Bring it...." The boy said making the same motion for Silus to bring what he had. As Silus slid into the boy's shins, Briana watched as the pyro-boy crumpled on top of Silus. Was this was he had been meaning? He was an 'evil' guy because he fought? Those answers could come later. Slowly getting to her feet, she kept her eyes on the boys. Glancing at Silus' leather jacket, she noticed the burn mark on it. She hadn't meant for this to happen....

The boy grabbed a hold of Silus' shirt and pulled him close. "Is that all you got?" he said through clenched teeth, waiting for Silus to do something. Glancing around, Briana noticed that the students were watching, but seemed to be focused not on flame-boy, but on Silus. Could he really be as bad as he was saying?

"You're dumb as shit." Silus said as he shot a hand up and grabbed the pyro's throat. The kid seriously just walked right into this! His eyes lit up and the pyro began growling and roaring around as Silus' powers finally eased in. The Pyro couldn't concentrate enough to even generate his fire, let alone control them, but he certainly got angry. His arms burned like Fire, and he placed said hand on Silus' shoulder, burning right through the shirt. Silus winced with pain, forcing his eyes shut, but he was already to far in with his power. The fire in the man's hand died off, and the pyro dropped onto the ground. Silus felt everything about him coursing through him, his likes, his dislikes...a few memories...everything was stored inside him now. He looked at the ground, mortified at what he had done for a second, but he just scoffed as he poked his shoulder, the newest bubble caused by the burn to blanch for a second.

"Anyone else while I'm still in the mood?" He asked, opening his arms invitingly. He kicked the passed out Pyro in the chest, rolling him over. Everyone just turned and walked away, hurrying to get lost from the scene. "No? No one? Alright then." He smirked with a cocky posture as he turned around and walked past Briana, still holding his calm 'tough guy' appearance as he walked past and picked up his jacket. When he turned around a familiar girl with black hair glared at Silus and she scoffed with disappointment.

"What happened to you?"
"He started it. I finished it" Silus said plainly.
"No, I mean what happened to you...you used to be so nice." The girl scoffed and rolled her eyes as she placed her hands on the boys shoulders and the boy began to heal up. Silus let out a disapproving grunt before turning and walking towards the end of the hallway, waiting for Bri to follow him or something...anything to get his mind off what just happened.

Briana was stunned... Absolutely, stunned... She felt horrible that Silus got injured, twice, thanks to this little show she helped him put on just to show her what kind of person he really was. Looking at the bigger brute laying in the floor, she wondered if he was going to be alright, but then she looked up and noticed all the kids that had been watching quickly went about their business without a second look to where Silus went.

Moving past the fallen boy, Briana walked quickly in the direction that Silus had gone. She passed a black-haired girl who simply looked at her as she walked by. Catching up with Silus, she brushed her blonde hair away from her face and glanced at him for a moment. "Thank you..." she said quietly. Briana really didn't know what to say. She had never seen anything like it, and had really felt as if she was in real danger when the pyro took after her.

"Yeah...don't mention it. I put you up to it after all." Silus said. He poked the burn mark on his shoulder and continued to wince as he pressed on it. It was like watching a child poke something that hurt them, but he didn't quite seem to register that it was hurting himself. He sighed as he pulled at his shirt, revealing that his shirt was virtually useless now, and his favorite jacket was just melted in the back. He was going to need to get more clothes at this rate, and he had burn cream in his room, if worse comes to worst he could always just go to the nurse's office.

"So...that's why I'm evil." Silus said, his eyes faded and he forced a flash of a smile before he poked his arm again. He did promise to answer questions, he wasn't exactly looking to remind her of it though, he'd hang here for a second before he'd run for the burn cream. He cracked his neck, threw his ruined jacket over him and yawned, looking back to the bully who had fallen, he looked to Silus, terrified, as he should have been. Silus let his eyes glow again, just to amuse himself and watch the "bully" get terrified. Silus smirked, only to see the black haired girl glare at him. Silus rolled his eyes, let them fade one final time before placing his back against the wall around the corner, the cold wall feeling nice on the burn on his back.

Briana didn't quiet understand how all this made him a bad guy, but she could see the reputation he had around him. "How did you do it? Drop that guy like he was nothing?" she asked motioning to the boy as he did his best to scamper away. Her eyes fell on his burns he had sustained thanks to her, and she sighed. Briana wanted to help him, but she didn't know how. "Do you have something to help your burns? I have some cream in my room if it will help," she offered with a small smile. Seeing his reputation in full force with the students, she could see why he believed he was evil. He didn't want to be a doormat for the others to wipe their feet on, just like he told her to not be. So, he created this reputation to help him...

"The burns are fine, I got some stuff for them back in my room. This one on my back is going to be a pain though..." He admitted as he sighed. Her dreaded question echoed through his mind. How did he do it? Well...The gloves had to come off some time. Silus took in a deep breath, preparing himself mentally.

"I sucked out his soul, okay?" Silus asked. The look on his face was enough to tell that he was dead serious. "My power slowly absorbs someones essence...their soul, their Psyche or whatever you want to call it. I take it form them and store it inside my mind. The last person I did that to has been in a coma for the past four years. Hnestly, Pyro-psycho back there is lucky SHE showed up when she did...if he had waited much longer he'd be victim number two." He growled, running his hands through his hair, exhaling a mouthful of air as he tried to keep himself calm.

I sucked out his soul, okay? Briana's jaw went slack as she listened to Silus tell her about his power and what it could do. Her eyes lifted to his and locked there as he spoke. What a mutation to have... "That's powerful stuff, Silus. And your eyes show when you are using it," she said quietly. She raised a hand as if to touch his cheek, but then thought better of it and tucked her hands into her pockets. The last person I did that to has been in a coma for the past four years. Silus' mutation was a dangerous one, that's for sure. But, it didn't make him evil. "What do you do with what you take?" she asked looking away for a moment before looking back at him.

"Look, I know you said that you have stuff to take care of those in your room, but since you can't reach your back very well, mind if I help?" Briana asked dropping her eyes. "It's the least I can do..." she added softly.

"I don't do anything with them...I just...hoard them. They sit in the back of my mind, every memory. It's bad enough I don't have any real memories of my own, but hen you figure in the fact I'm stuck with everyone else's...it get's hectic." Silus said as he sighed and looked around, just waiting for a professor to turn around and grill him for his behavior. The girl offered to help him with his back. He arched an eye, he was cautious, paranoia kicking in...but he also knew that the burn was in a rather unreachable spot. He began to formulate putting the cream on a towel and laying on it, but that wasn't very practical.

"U-uhm... sure. Gotta run and grab it though." He said, he pushed off the wall and made his way for his room. With the burn ointment in his hand he found Bri and looked at her wit a questioning look. "You're sure you want to help? I mean...didn't you see what JUST happened to the guy who touched me?" He joked obviously, he had the ability to deny his power but it was still odd. He took off his jacket, rolled up his sleeve, until he saw the tattooed strange letter on his skin, he quickly let the sleeve drop and tried to apply the ointment from under his shirt.

I don't do anything with them...I just...hoard them. To draw out someone's essence and not do anything with it other than keep them in him mind.... It had to be more than hectic. Maddening more like it. Maybe just as maddening as hers could be when it just shows up...

When Silus accepted her offer to help him, she smiled slightly. When he went to go get the cream, she sat on a bench that was against the wall, tucked away from eyes that might glance down the hall. When Silus returned, she noticed the unsure look on his face. You're sure you want to help? With a nod she answered quietly, "I saw what happened. But, just as I trusted you to come to save me, I trust that you won't hurt me either. And, don't worry, my powers aren't influenced by touch." Briana tilted her head slightly and raised an eyebrow as a soft smile touched her lips. She watched as he rolled up his sleeve but then let it fall and applied the ointment under the cloth. Holding out her hand for the ointment she said playfully, "Works better if you pull your shirt up and out of the way. Lets the burn take the cream and not your clothes." Briana winked her green eye at him as she waited for him to hand the cream over.

"Yeah, but I'm not too worried about that one. I can get that one easy. I can't get the other one though." He said as he handed her the ointment. He looked at his back, the shirt was mostly torn up and burned as it was. He groaned. "This was my favorite long-sleeve too. Gonna have to talk with Pyro-Psycho about this later." He said. He lifted the back of his shirt and cleared his throat. The scars on the center area of his back being visible made him rather...uneasy, but he held onto the promise that his room was literally RIGHT through the door and he could get a new shirt and jacket after this fiasco was done.

"So what about you sweetheart. I've heard you say how you at least I have 'control' but I still have no clue why everyone seems to think you're a freak. Care to share, or should I keep in suspense?" He asked casually, not putting any real pressure on the matter, but trying to keep this silence from getting awkward.

"You going to make him replace them?" Briana asked as he handed her the ointment. As he lifted his shirt, she silently winced at the burn on his back. Taking some ointment on her fingers, she gently applied it to the red, angry area. "Sorry, my hands are a little on the cold side," she said making sure to apply a generous coat of the cream on his wound. When she finished, she gently touched the scars at the center of his back, before putting the cap back on the cream. She wanted to ask about them, but figured that can wait for another day.

I've heard you say how you at least I have 'control' but I still have no clue why everyone seems to think you're a freak. Briana sighed and gently bit her bottom lip. "I do have some control. I have control over one power," she said. Holding her hand open, she let her power lift the bottle and hover it up and over his shoulder. Briana's power held the bottle at eye level for Silus to take when he wished. "The other one is the one that I have no control over...." she said shyly. Briana hadn't spoken with anyone about her 'lack of control' over her other power.

descriptionCompleteRe: To Prove A Point (NC-17)

"You got two huh? Lucky."He said as he thought about it. His power was evil...evil and pointless. He couldn't even help people with a power like this...the only thing he could do is cause pain and suck up souls like the grim reaper. If he could even have something to help him fight so he didn't get burned like this. He felt a little anger welling up in his abdomen. Cold hands made him wince a little, but he did his best to stay still as the cream was smeared on the burn. He felt her hand travel up as she touched the scar between his shoulder blades. How badly did he want to jerk away and spazz out? REAL BAD, but she wasn't exactly aiming to hurt him, or so he didn't think.

"So what did your family think of this place?" Silus asked, she didn't seem to want to talk about her powers, and she wasn't exactly inquisitive herself, so it was about the last option left until she finished and he could change his shirt quickly

descriptionCompleteRe: To Prove A Point (NC-17)

Briana shrugged when he spoke about her being lucky to have two powers. "Sure, if you say so. You know how yours kind of slips out once and a while? Mine just kind of...happens... Whenever it wants..." Briana told him. "I guess that, plus a power you can control, topped with the party of my eyes makes for a first class freak..." she said simply. "I take it you only have the one power?" she asked checking to see how the cream was on his burn, Briana smiled and took his bunched up shirt and gently pulled it down over his back. "There, all set," she said, leaning back and took out her silver coin. Absentmindedly, she began flipping it over the tops of her fingers, back and forth in a slow rhythm...

So what did your family think of this place? Briana paused the movement for a moment or two before continuing. "My family doesn't know I'm here, actually," she said looking at him and then back at the floor. "I left them about a year and a half ago. I had heard about this place and thought maybe it would be a good place for someone like me. What about yours?" she asked in return. She thought she felt the prickle of something at the back of her mind, but thought nothing of it.

Family was a question he should have avoided, he knew it form the second he brought it up. He wanted to hit his palm off his head and start snapping at himself for setting himself up for this. He felt the shirt come back over his back, the massive whole allowing the burn to breath a little. He stood up from the bench and turned around to look at her.

"Gimmie a sec." He said as he walked back into his room. He left the door open, hoping to not be long. The room was definitely Silus', because it was dedicated to a ton of music and he had some rather "outspoken shirts" lying around. He stepped around the corner, reaching onto the floor and picking up one of these shirts, meanwhile he threw the current shirt he wore into the trash. Before putting the shirt on he puled off a brand new, almost carbon copy coat from the desk chair. He vanished around the corner again to put on his "outspoken" Attire and then hide it with his jacket, all zipped up and nice. He walked back out to Bri, who very well could have been in here already, and Silus being distracted wouldn't have noticed. Though once he founder her he cleared his throat.

"I uh. I don't have a family actually. I don't have any memory before being found and brought here. The only things I know are my name, my age and my birthdate. Everything else is like... a third-grader's attempt at abstract art. I know  had a family but...anything before the age of fifteen is...gone." He said as he sat down on the nearest surface.

As Silus stood up and went to his room, Briana closed her eyes and rubbed her face to help clear her mind from the vision she had and had watched come to pass. It was nothing new, but it was still enough to tire her mind out after the fact. She looked down at the coin in her hand and smiled, tucking it away in her pocket while she waited. Silus came back around the corner and was dressed almost like he had been before the confrontation, and when he cleared his throat, she looked up at him and smiled softly.

He told her about his family, or lack there of, and how his memories before he was 15 were simply not there. How sad to have no memories of his past or family but to be overrun with the memories of others. "I'm sorry to hear that, slick. I was 15 when I left my family. I just couldn't take the treatment and dishonesty anymore. When my dad hit me, that was the last straw for me..." she told him, without even really knowing why. No one knew that about her. As she realized when she had just told him, her cheeks colored pink. "Ummmm.... So, you don't remember anything about your family?" Briana asked, looking at him as he sat.

descriptionCompleteRe: To Prove A Point (NC-17)

"Fifteen must be a really sucky age for everyone then eh?" He asked after he heard about her having the last straw. He was intrigued by what she meant though...about having enough with the dishonesty. When he heard about her father hitting her his closed his eyes and sighed. He had felt the same feeling he did when the pyro-punk almost hit her. Why do people feel so motivated to hurt each other? It's rather pathetic really, but Silus didn't want to intrude on the grounds, he'd simply hear her out and give an unbiased ear.

"Sorry 'bout that..." Silus said as sincere as he possibly could. He yawned as he heard her next question. About not remembering any of his family. The sad truth remained that Silus had very limited memory, and the limited memory he had was all based upon assumptions, not facts or actual knowledge. The only thing he knew for truth was that he was 17 years old and born on December 24th. Both of these things he managed to get from the 'health' card in his pocket. The Card had a number on it, but where that trail led was to a destroyed estate on the outskirts of NYC. "No. I can remember...a place. But when I try to think about it...I can't remember anyone being there with me...I don't even know what caused me to forget...which is the worst part. No scars on my head, no hormone differences, not a clinical reason in a thousand miles. It's like walking trying to see things through a constant fog. Trying to remember it is just....awful. Waste of time. The past is there for a reason though... I don't need a family, I don't need someone to lean on. I can keep myself standing, and that's all that really matters." Silus said as he turned his head and looked out the window. He was silent for a moment, for a second he thought he was actually going to...no, that's not acceptable...he would never do that. Never again.

"So tell me sweetheart. What brought you here then? Did you just live around here, did ya have to hitch-hike?" He asked, maybe if he changed the subject of how they got here it might be better off at avoiding family questions that might offend her.

descriptionCompleteRe: To Prove A Point (NC-17)

"Kind of seems that way, huh?" Briana asked with a slight giggle. She actually hadn't thought about it really, but 15 did seem like a rough time for many mutants like them. Maybe it was due to 15 kind of being an odd age for most people. When Silus gave his sorry at hearing about her hardship with her family she shrugged and said, "It's alright. Nothing for you to be sorry about. I've accepted it and moved on." She was a little surprised that he didn't have more to say on the matter, or rather that he didn't ask for more information about it. Perhaps, he was just not one to dig into people's personal stuff until he got to know them better.

Briana looked at Silus as he told her of his mysterious lack of memories and how, really, there was no know cause as to why his memories were simply not there. Even though memories can be painful, she figured having something would be better than nothing at all or just bits and pieces that make no sense. I don't need a family, I don't need someone to lean on. I can keep myself standing, and that's all that really matters. "No one can be strong by themselves all the time, slick. Sometimes, everyone needs a little help," Briana offered gently with a tender smile. Briana had often thought the same. She didn't need anyone, didn't need her family that never really cared about her, didn't need her so called friends, but in the end, there were times when she wished she had someone, anyone, who would simply see her as she was and be there if she needed. Briana was willing to be that to so many, but her mutations made it difficult to find others who would do the same. Be that as it may, it didn't mean that she had given up and lost sight that no one is strong enough to weather everything alone.

Seeing Silus look out the window at the gently falling snow, she glanced outside and sighed. Christmas was approaching, and she wasn't looking forward to it. Having it be just her, well, it wasn't nearly as enjoyable as it should be. Looking back inside, her eyes caught his face for a moment, and in that moment, she thoguht she saw a thought flicker across his eyes. But, in the next instant, it was gone. Changing the subject, Briana figured it was something he didn't want to talk about. Maybe another time...

So tell me sweetheart. What brought you here then? Did you just live around here, did ya have to hitch-hike? Rubbing the back of her neck with her hand, Briana laughed slgihtly. "Well, actually I'm from Oregon. After what happened with my dad, I took all the money in my savings and bought a ticket to the place I thought they would least expect me to go, which was here. New York is a big place, easy to simply get lost in. I didn't expect them to come looking, and so far, they haven't. I guess what he told me was true..." she answered him with a shrug. "I kept hearing about this school for gifted young people and then it changed to this school for people like me. So, I came looking and here I am," Briana added, looking at him. "Even thought you don't remember your past, is there anything to tell you how you ended up here?" she asked in return. Even though she didn't know much about Silus, his story, however limited, was striking to her.

"IF that were true...we wouldn't have trees." He retorted to her "No one can be strong all the time" comment with a playful smirk. His mind finally rebounded and he thought about it a moment, did he ever check and see if she was okay? Not exactly sure why he cared, but it was still probably the right thing to do. "You alright? You didn't get roughed up any did ya?"

"Even thought you don't remember your past, is there anything to tell you how you ended up here?" She asked him.

Silus eyes opened with interest and he opened his moth a little, letting a little "huh..." escape him. That was an interesting thought. Where might he be from? As far as he knew he was from...nowhere. He recalled there being a place...the night where he had his first memories. He felt like somewhere was 'calling' him. Something was beckoning him to the place. When he got there, it was nothing more than the ruins of a freshly burned and destroyed house. He knew the place...it was familiar, but so...different and estranged. He always just assumed that it had something to do with his memories. His mind started playing it's game with him. the estate in ruins flashed through, and then another image popped into his head.
"Not really...I mean there was a place, but it was totally...it was completely ruined, I don't even know if it was my home or not but...something about the place is off. I haven't been there since Whatshisface brought me here" Silus said, struggling to even recall who it was who brought him to this place. "no, I got no clue where I'm from though." He thought as he yawned and placed his hands behind his head, using them as a cushion behind the wall, and being careful to not his Bri in the head as he brought his elbows up.
"So here we are I guess huh?" He said, the burning pain soothing a little from the cream finally taking effect.

Briana couldn't help but laugh lightly at Silus' comment about the trees. "True. I guess trees can be inspiration to all of us to stand strong," she mused. She still knew that there were times when everyone needed someone to help them be strong, but at this point, there was no reason to bring it back up. You alright? You didn't get roughed up any did ya? Briana let her dual-colored eyes fall as she thought about if she was hurt or not. The dull ache on the back of her head came back into focus as she did a mental check over whether or not she was alright. Gently, touching the source of her pain, she let out a small hiss as she winced at the touch. "I guess I have quite the bump from hitting the wall when that oaf slammed me into it. I'll heal..." she answered him. The fact that he even asked about her well-being after this little confrontation touched her. It was one of the first times anyone showed any concern for her since she got here. Well, student-wise, anyways...

As he told her about what little he does remember, Briana was taken with what he said about the ruins feeling off. So, there is a glimmer of something tied to that place... "Have you ever thought of going back?" she asked, tucking her blonde hair behind her ears. As he brought his hands up to rest his head against them, Briana moved her head out of the way. Seeing him yawn, she smiled slightly, "Sorry if I'm boring you, slick. Yes, so here we are." Briana turned to look out at the falling snow. Even though she didn't care for winter all that much, there was something peaceful about snow falling as it was. "Here we are in a new place with a new start..." she said more to herself than anything.

"I...might have to go back. People keep telling to let Professor X or Luka to help me with their telepathy and junk but...honestly I don't want someone in my head. I have enough of them as it is." He said, regarding his power. He almost contemplated going back...right now, but that wasn't the best course of action at the moment. Silus also felt bad when it was revealed that she had a bump from what transpired, but honestly he wasn't exactly a healer. "Good, we won't lose ya." He said with a little smile. After he had yawned she made the comment about boring him. That wasn't the case at all, Silus was just horrible at conversation, the kid had two friends, the one he just met the other day, he wasn't exactly a veteran when it came to making friends. He figured he'd tell her the truth about this too, while he was at it.

"You're not boring me...I yawn...a lot. I don't exactly sleep well. Lack of sleep normally leads to an oxygen starved brain, and that makes you yawn, it's your brain trying to force your body to take in more of the good old o2." He said. That was really the best he could do though, unless he wanted to go into the whole recurring nightmare that keeps him up...the nightmare he can never remember. He actually found himself talking more to keep his own attentions off of the snow. God how he hated that crap. Christmas was right around the flipping corner now. How wonderful, good for it. As far as Silus cared the holiday could just not come this year and he'd be happy. "New place, New Start....same game." He added onto her little statement.

Nodding, Briana could understand why he didn't want even more minds in his head. "Do they think they could help you remember?" she asked. If he took essence and never did anything with them, she could see why he wouldn't want to add more, even if Professor X or Luka might be able to help him remember his past. "No one ever died from a little bump," she replied with a light laugh. Catching his small smile, her eyes lit up. "You should smile more often, slick. It suits you," Briana said. She hadn't recalled seeing him smile, and a smile seemed to fit him better then the face of a 'bad boy' with all his smirks.

When Silus mentioned that he didn't sleep all that well, which caused his abundant yawns, she opened her mouth to ask about it, and then paused. She didn't want to cross any lines with this boy she really just met. Lots of mutants had trouble sleeping it seemed. Herself included, sometimes... Dropping her eyes, she bit the corner of her lip gently before asking, "Does your power keep you from sleeping, too?" His added words to her saying made a half-smile touch her lips as she kept her eyes downcast. Nodding, Briana echoed him, "New place, new, start, same game... Always the same no matter where we go it seems."A chirpping caught her attention and, looking up an outside, she saw a red cardinal sitting on the window ledge. Her eyes softened as she watched the bird for a moment. Putting her hand down to help her keep her balance as she twisted to watch it fly away, she absentmindedly put it on his leg. Noticing what she had done a moment after she had done it, she quickly looked back and withdrew her hand. "Sorry..." she said, as a light pink color warmed her cheeks.
