Yancey had been running ever since he made his great escape. Well it wasn't that great in his mind. He just sort of walked out from within the chaos. Granted the base he came from was in the dead of the woods, but that was where he thrived most. Granted he had been running for a few days now and he was not exactly slow. Of course there was the occasional stop for water or to eat a random deer or something... oh who was he kidding, he literally looked like a wolf-pup. He was not getting any deer, the biggest thing he had eaten so far in his ventures was a damn squirrel. A very plump and fat squirrel, and a tasty squirrel. He stopped dead in his tracks as he sniffed the air around him. There was something amiss here, but then again he didn't really KNOW that for fact, seeing as he'd never been here before as it was. The only thing he did know was that his little pup fur was standing on end and a little whimper escaped his throat.
He heard the breaking of a twig, the crunching of leaves from the forest floor. He whined and let out a little yip as he looked around, as if a little child out in the woods calling "Mom!?" as he was left completely lost. He let out another little whine and drew it out as he yipped before condensing himself and making himself small, hoping that whatever he heard wasn't going to kill him. The wind was against his favor, meaning his scent was carried back but the scent of whatever he was scared of was behind him. He just licked his muzzle as he looked around for whatever it could be. Suddenly he heard it, there was a loud snarl and a snap, Yancey turned just to see a large brown wolf lunging for him. In his fear the little wolf's mind kicked in and instinctively formed a photokinetic wall and before he knew it the large brown wolf went SPLAT and dropped onto it's back. Yancey whined as he moved around the glowing yellow wall (which had now vanished) and inspected the large wolf that lay unconscious. After sniffing the wolf, Yancey proceeded to see it's breathing and knowing the wolf was alive the little rainbow colored pup proceeded to pause, whimper and then turn. Upon turning he lifted his leg and proceeded to urinate on the face of the unconscious wolf as an act of spite before trotting away, as happy as could be.
With that done the little wolf would run on course, eventually stumbling into a new segment of woods. This segment of woods was different from the rests. There was a lot of humans in these metal looking bugs on the black flat-stuff that made loud noises that scared the little pup. Little did he know he had covered some impressive ground in two days, and he was not on an area that was frequented by humans...the hiking trails. He began to happily trot down the trails, and eventually found himself at the ends of them, able to look upon a rather nice looking place with ponds and tennis balls and people everywhere. The little prismatic pup lifted his tail and dropped his hind legs, plopping his rear into the middle of the trail as the little pup began to pant, eyes squinting as he looked right through the sun and scanning the grounds, noting in the distance two other wolves...both of them looking much bigger than him... he let out a little concerned whimper and contemplated turning tail and running, but as of yet it didn't seem like he had anything to worry about.
