Loika laid on one of the large rocks near breakstone lake in her wolf form. She was sunning herself and also scenting a deer. It was half a mile out. She hopped off the rock and landed with a soft thud. She moved quickly and quietly through the brush.

She had her sights on it. It was drinking from a small creek totally unaware. She sprung through the grass and chased down the deer. It didnt make it far before she brought it down. She was feeding on it when she felt she wasnt alone. She raised her head and perked her ears. She looked around for the intruder.

Shael sniffed the air, testing it for a moment before taking a few tentative steps forward. The young wolf had been following something, a scent of sorts that had caught its interest for a while, the scent of its prey. Da, a small breeze kicking and dark brown eyes scanned the surrounding area, a small breeze kicking up and wriggling the leaves loose from a tree as they fell down to the ground. Even with the relative silence he could hear it, something moving close by, ears perking up immediately. Silently slinking along, the wolf came upon its potential prey drinking from a small pond, small enough for him to take down if he were to jump for the throat.

The black wolves eyes narrowed, tongue darting over his wolfish lips hungrily as it prepared to make a move, until the scent of something else caught his attention. Another wolf jumped from seemingly nowhere and began to chase after the deer, something that was supposed to be his prey. Growling lowly, the wolf slink off, having lost interest in an already lost kill. Perhaps he could go for something easier to kill, like a rabbit or something along those lines. Not that he expected it to be easy by any means, granted Shael at the moment did not have high expectations in general.

However perhaps he could simply wait for the wolf to grow bored of her meal and eat from that, even if that was beneath him in most regards; the wolf could not really afford to be picky.

Loika finished what she could and licked her lips. There was still a little blood on her muzzle but that didnt matter. She could last close to a week now without feeding again. She still sensed the other beast out there. She left the carcase where it was and traced the scent.

She found the other wolf. It was in her territory. Her ears went back and she growled at the younger wolf. He seemed like a pup compared to her but he still had to learn territories. Where was his pack? She hopped through the undergrowth and landed within feet of him and let out a warning bark.

Yancey had been running ever since he made his great escape. Well it wasn't that great in his mind. He just sort of walked out from within the chaos. Granted the base he came from was in the dead of the woods, but that was where he thrived most. Granted he had been running for a few days now and he was not exactly slow. Of course there was the occasional stop for water or to eat a random deer or something... oh who was he kidding, he literally looked like a wolf-pup. He was not getting any deer, the biggest thing he had eaten so far in his ventures was a damn squirrel. A very plump and fat squirrel, and a tasty squirrel. He stopped dead in his tracks as he sniffed the air around him. There was something amiss here, but then again he didn't really KNOW that for fact, seeing as he'd never been here before as it was. The only thing he did know was that his little pup fur was standing on end and a little whimper escaped his throat.

He heard the breaking of a twig, the crunching of leaves from the forest floor. He whined and let out a little yip as he looked around, as if a little child out in the woods calling "Mom!?" as he was left completely lost. He let out another little whine and drew it out as he yipped before condensing himself and making himself small, hoping that whatever he heard wasn't going to kill him. The wind was against his favor, meaning his scent was carried back but the scent of whatever he was scared of was behind him. He just licked his muzzle as he looked around for whatever it could be. Suddenly he heard it, there was a loud snarl and a snap, Yancey turned just to see a large brown wolf lunging for him. In his fear the little wolf's mind kicked in and instinctively formed a photokinetic wall and before he knew it the large brown wolf went SPLAT and dropped onto it's back. Yancey whined as he moved around the glowing yellow wall (which had now vanished) and inspected the large wolf that lay unconscious. After sniffing the wolf, Yancey proceeded to see it's breathing and knowing the wolf was alive the little rainbow colored pup proceeded to pause, whimper and then turn. Upon turning he lifted his leg and proceeded to urinate on the face of the unconscious wolf as an act of spite before trotting away, as happy as could be.

With that done the little wolf would run on course, eventually stumbling into a new segment of woods. This segment of woods was different from the rests. There was a lot of humans in these metal looking bugs on the black flat-stuff that made loud noises that scared the little pup. Little did he know he had covered some impressive ground in two days, and he was not on an area that was frequented by humans...the hiking trails. He began to happily trot down the trails, and eventually found himself at the ends of them, able to look upon a rather nice looking place with ponds and tennis balls and people everywhere. The little prismatic pup lifted his tail and dropped his hind legs, plopping his rear into the middle of the trail as the little pup began to pant, eyes squinting as he looked right through the sun and scanning the grounds, noting in the distance two other wolves...both of them looking much bigger than him... he let out a little concerned whimper and contemplated turning tail and running, but as of yet it didn't seem like he had anything to worry about.

Loika opened her mouth to bark again and stopped. She smelled a new scent on the air. She turned her head and looked at the small pup watching them. He looked so...rainbowish. And helpless. She gave the bigger one a small woof and proceeded to trot over to the pup.

When she reached the pup she used her muzzle to flip him over on his back and sniffed him to see if she recognized him. He didnt smell much like a true wolf either. Flipping him over on his back was a wolf instinct to show him she was alpha female in this territory. When she was satisfied with his scent she gave his face a lick and sat down. Her face softened and she looked more friendly. She spoke to both of them for the first time though it didnt seem like her lips moved. " You pups wanna tell me what you are doing out here?"

Shael was approached by a larger female, instinctively growling and taking a few steps backwards. She may have been around twice as large as he was, but Shael was not the type to be underestimated. Sure, the wolf may have even been twice as strong but….okay he was outmatched when it came to physical power, he was just outdone really. However as soon as he took interest in him, the wolf turned her attention elsewhere, which was upon a rather strange looking wolf, one who was rainbow in color and far scrawnier than even he was.

Shael trotted slowly after the two, curious of what it was that the wolf was, eyes narrowing curiously. The wolf lady speaking without even moving her lips, considering that wolves did not usually speak at all did confuse the young wolf even more. Growling at the voice, the black wolf shrunk back somewhat before figuring out where it was coming from and sitting down. How he was supposed to communicate back was kind of at a loss for him, as he cocked his head to the side, and looked curiously to the female wolf.

Loika looked back at the first pup. She could see his confusion. " Dont be confused or afraid pup. Im one of you. I'll understand your wolf language just fine. You are both in my territory but i dont see you as a threat. If you are hungry i took down a deer. I've had my fill. Take what you want. " She stepped back and allowed the smaller pup to get up.

Yancey was totally at a loss, considering he heard a people voice, but there were no peoples in which he heard. He glanced around and yipped happily as he looked for the source of the voices. Finding none he cocked his head confused. The young pup knew absolutely nothing about speaking English, he barely understood it other than the words "Subject" "Mutt" "Little Bitch" "Rainbow one" and "Yancey" were all references to him in some way or another. He guessed that was his name, but all in all that wasn't important to him. He then looked back to the large wolf and finally realized that she had knocked him over for a reason. Why was it? The poor pup had lived such an isolated life, even from other members of it's species that it didn't even understand the concepts of wolven body language. The little pup just sat there, still looking for the voices, obviously oblivious to the comments made at him. The poor little pup didn't even know how to communicate...

The two larger wolves scared him to be honest, he let out a little whimper as he made slow scoots backwards and looking between the two, hoping that there wasn't going to be any trouble for him. The girl seemed nice enough, and dominating enough. This black dog though...it wasn't as easy to place. Only time would tell though.

He may have not really understood the wolf language very well, but Shael did understand when food was mentioned, and a deer sounded really nice right now. Shael seemed to understand what the female said, making an understanding gesture before standing up a little taller, though he was still around the size of a pup, with midnight fur. His attention turned to the wolf pup as he slowly trotted up to it, examining him for a second before licking its face. While most wolven behavior was unknown to it, something about the action seemed like it would work and then he trotted off towards the deer carcass, sniffing it for a second before tearing into it with sharp teeth.

Loika was confused by the pup. He seemed to not know what she was saying. She watched the bigger one lick his face then she assumed he was going after the deer. She watched him walk off then picked up the smaller one in her mouth. She picked him up gently but awkwardly and carried him to the deer where she sat him down. She motion with her head towards the deer to let him know it was ok if he was hungry.

She turned away and took a few steps away from them. She laid down and proceeded to start licking her paws. She used her paws to clean her muzzle as well. She realized she must look scary with gore on her face and paws.

Yancey found himself suddenly lifted, though he didn't know what the hell was going on. He didn't realize he had been lifted until he moved his paws and suddenly there was no actual ground beneath him. The only thing he could wonder is if he was running right. How did they run? Suddenly he cocked his head, turning it to see the large wolf suddenly placing him there. He let out a little whine before looking to the deer. The little guy was barely hungry, but he decided to follow the lead of the other wolf that licked his face...though one licking his face was kind of a common thing...but despite his not being hungry that didn't mean he was one to turn away glutton. He sniffed the deer, noting that it was a rather nice kill. He also noted that it tasted good. The little guy put a nice hurt on the deer, it was actually impressive that it could eat so much for being so damn small. The thing probably ate it's own weight twice over.... still not too much but still.

The dog looked over at Loika, head cocked to the side as he watched, beginning to mirror and mimic her motions, cleansing himself. He looked at her and carefully mirrored her to perfection, before long he found himself relatively clean. The rainbow dog then scanned over the scary woman before sniffing her for a second. The rainbow pup seemed to scan her intently for a moment. With narrowed eyes he noted she was a solid black color with brilliant blue eyes. Suddenly as le leaned in and sniffed her, the rainbow colors seemed to turn darker and suddenly blackness covered him like a corruption, and his little amber eyes turned a bright blue. He then proceeded to sit like an attack dog at attention... before his tongue lolled out of his mouth and he began panting with a dopey canine grin and squinted eyes as he looked around.

Loika watched the pups feed on the deer and she was happy the animal wouldnt go to waste. She only ate fresh kills so she didnt often return to one. She was full of deer and relatively happy at the moment for the first time since her husband died. She was relaxed enough to lay her head on her paws and dozed. She was still listening to the forest and listening for any danger that might threaten them.

She was starting to fall asleep when she felt like she was being watched. She opened her eyes and noticed the smaller pup staring at her. He was mimicing her. She found it facinating. She tipped her head to the side and wagged her tail.

Shael enjoyed the taste of the kill, even if the kill was not his own. When one was hungry, they did not have the freedom to simply be indignant about being forced to eat borrowed meat, and at the moment he was enjoying himself as he ate nearly twice his weight in food, licking his lips as he finished off his own portion. The food was good, and now he wasn’t hungry, likely wouldn’t be for quite a while. Turning to the others, he gave both a confused look as now the small rainbow pup was not there, and was instead replaced with a small black pup that looked oddly like the larger wolf.

Trotting over to the two, he sniffed the small pup a couple of times until he was sure that it was the same one before panting a little happily, and licking the wolfs face before playfully tackling him in an attempt to pin him, or an attempt to initiate play. He was afterall a pup and interacting with another one was a new thing with him, so he wanted to take advantage of it.

Yancey was only slightly confused at what was going on. He noticed Loika look at him rather intrigued, and soon he mimicked her interest back to her, that was until he found a rather inquisitive clod nose taking in rapid short breathes in, catching his scent. No sooner had he turned his head was the bigger male wolf's tongue sliding up the side of his face. It was the perfect uppercut....just with a tongue. Yancey's head instinctively rolled back, and the older male seemed to take advantage of Yancey's unbalanced nature as it pounced at him pinning him to the ground. Yancey let out a little whine, terrified that he may have tasted good enough to have been targeted as lunch. It wasn't until he noted the rather lax body posture that it may not have been a genuine strike. Yancey decided to test this theory and wormed around using his fangs to gently snap onto the other male by the throat and use it as leverage to drag himself up slightly, getting better foothold. The rainbow pup's prismatic colors returned and the ground beneath it seemed to illuminate as a rainbow as well, the sunlight refracting from on it's fur.

Yancey was weaker than this older pup physically, so he had no intentions on winning really, but this was still kind of...fun? If Yancey had to go down, he was going to be feisty in the process.

Loika watched the pups playing in the grass. It was sweet. Like having her own little pack. It made her miss her pack in canada. She had lived as a wolf for about a year with them before she came to the school. It took a while to relearn being human.

She let them play and kept a careful eye to make sure they werent playing to rough but at the same time kept an eye on the area around them. It was dangerous even for a wolf to let their guard down in the forest.

The whining sound caused the pup to pause for a second, a little curious of what he had done to cause such a reaction from the little thing, before it seemed to join in the playful wrestling.  The black pup pulled its head back, neck moving from the nipping aimed for its throat, though it still managed to brush along his throat. The weaker pup would begin to struggle, as if attempting to wrestle from underneath the older one and only managed to wriggle its way from him a little until Shael simply adjusted his strategy and managed to pin him down again, tail wagging happily  before darting off and rolling back slightly. At this point it could be construed as him inviting Yancey to try and pin him down, if only because Shael were having too much fun.

The dark wolf were a rather difficult one to snip or wrestle with. Yancey found himself whining a little as the other darted off and rolled over. Yancey found himself having some strangely human thoughts, though he wasn't aware that this is what "The peoples" thought. The first thought that came to mind was I'm not strong enough... and while it caused the pup to whine, knowing that he was already the weakest of the group, it didn't stop him from playing. The rainbow pup charged and did what could only be described as a "fail-pounce" or a glomp into the rolled pup. Yancey then proceeded to "pin" him there by simply placing his head on Shael's belly and smiling happily as his tongue lolled out and he panted, resting on Shael, feeling rather safe and secure at the moment, and really REALLY happy that this other pup was so soft. Unfortunately all good things come to an end one way or another, as Yancey caught a scent from the changing winds. He had been the first to catch this scent, but only because it was one he knew. It smelled really bitter, sharp and enough to almost sting the nose if too close.

The sound was subtle but in the distance there was a little clicking noise as Yancey moved slightly. He had no idea what was going on, but something was lingering about.

Loika lifted her head quickly and her ears shot up and perked. She sniffed the air. Something was wrong. She stood up quickly and put herself between the playing pups and whatever was out there. She lowered her head and lifted her lips in a growl so high her gums were showing. Whatever it was she was trying to scare it off. The last thing she wanted was to fight it. Whatever it was.

The young pup attempted to tackle and pin Shael, though in what one would call a fail glomp he managed to pin him by simply pressing his head to his belly. The black pup cocked his head to the side for a moment before freezing, nose catching a strange scent, one that did not smell right. Rolling to his feet, Shael looked around as if expecting something to appear from nowhere as he growled lowly, hair bristling along his haunch. He had a feeling that there was something dangerous coming, and if that were the case, he wanted to be able to defend himself and perhaps even the weaker pup; though they had the older wolf with them.

Yancey lifted his head from the bigger male, ears perked up and head on a swiffel, panting as he began to look in every direction. The small faint clicks were timed almost perfectly between each other. Click-click-click...click-click....click-click-click...click-click. Yancey stood up and moved over towards Loika more, and when he did he noticed a long string of clicks, as if the clicking noise were following him. He began to circle around and look for the source of the slicks, before noticing his tail and running after it. Becoming dizzy he suddenly froze and fell onto his side, tongue lolling out and panting. His nose began to smell strong sources from the opposite direction. They smelled weird...like the peoples in the lab with the guns weird. The clicking stopped, but smells began and the little rainbow pup was confused. He sat up and his hair stood on end as color drained from him, quite literally and he took the color of a pure white wolf. The rustling of footsteps drew closer and the smells got stronger. Unfortunately for poor Yancey he had been entirely distracted by the two large men that cleared the brush. They towered at about six foot tall a piece and they looked to the wolves and held stepped back, as if shocked.

"Sir, there's just wolves here." One of them said, however over a radio through their ear pieces, Yancey could hear words.

"It's the white one, he's the rainbow one." The voice was heard, thanks to the phenomenal hearing that accompanied wolven nature. The voice made Yancey yip and a dome of light covered him as the men drew guns at him. Yancey made himself small, sinking to the ground as best he could, beginning to dig himself a hole. Fortunately for the other wolves the men weren't interested in them. Unfortunately for the soldiers...they probably just pissed off Alpha-Bitch Loika and Wild-Child Shael.

Loika could smell the lab smells. Bad idea to smell like something like that around a creature that spent most of her natural life in a cage. She wouldnt let another innocent kid spent thier childhood in a crate. She used her head to shove the pups in the opposite direction of the men and barked at them to run.

She turned back on the men and snarled. Her ears were back. She dared them to challenge her. She rushed foreward and attacked the one on the right first. She wasnt afraid of men who scared pups. That wasnt a man at all.

Shael looked about, heightened sense looking out for any sign of a predator that would prove as a threat to them. However something soon enough showed itself in the form of a loud boom, the sound of a bullet traveling through the air and hitting the photokinetic dome that had formed around Yancey, protecting him from any further harm. The older wolf would attempt to push the wolves back, Shael begrudgingly slinking back as the older wolf would charge onward.

Peter  needed some peace and quiet. It has been a fairly successful mission. He was thinking of many events that took place in his life, however none of them made sense to Pete. Like what did Loika meant when she said. "Jason, wanna explain things?" and then no one talked to him. Also, how did he end up in Andrews' office. None of it made sense to Peter. He was so confused.

Walking to the Lake, Peter stepped over some grass when he realized he must have taken a wrong turn or something. He was now standing among many wolves, one of which was Loika. She could be in a crowd of million wolves and Peter would still be able to pick her out. When Peter noticed the man with guns about to shoot a wolf, he ran at the man with a gun and tried to shove him to the ground. Loika would murder whoever decided to kill a wolf. It was her nature. "What's going on?" he muttered to himself.

The light dome was a more effective defense than Yancey intended. The reasoning being that not that far away, the small clicking noise they could faintly hear had been the clicking of a scope. The scope of a sniper rifle positioned far enough off that the man behind it was safe from conflict. With the dome of light up however, the male's sight was impeded and the Subject Fenrir was no longer in his sight. Where he had hoped to have taken the poor mutt down with a single shot to the back of the head, he would now find himself with substantial room for error. He wasted no time and kept the scope trained where Subject Fenrir had been, and squeezed on the trigger. The kick to his shoulder was enough for him as he immediately left the metallic gun and ditched the scene, leaving to whatever fate awaited the other soldiers. "Gentlemen, your sacrifice will be remembered." He said into his ear-piece before he crushed it in his hand, silencing the screaming from the other end of the line. He was home free at the cost of his soldier's lives. An acceptable price to pay.

Yancey's light barrier had been breached, the light shattering and fluttering down like snowflakes. Yancey let out a yelp as his shoulder and the side of his head were literally propelled into the ground and sending the little pup skidding off the ground, a trail of blood smeared on the ground as he went. The little pup tried to stand, but his right arm buckled and it simply remained there, whining as it looked around. The pain was excruciating and as such one could tell that the pain and the bullet had quite obviously been an issue.

Loika growled at the men that threatened the wolves. She was going to give chase  but peter showed up.She also couldnt leave the pups to fend for themselves. She snarled at the men with guns then picked up yancy by his neck scruff and started to run. She knew his shoulder was hurt. She could taste the blood but this was better than getting captured or killed. She only hoped the other pup was smart enough to follow.
