Lost In The Past- (PG-13)

Scarlett sat on death row, awaiting her execution. The state of Texas was not kind to cold blooded killers. It didn't take long for jury to find her guilty as there were plenty of witnesses. Now, what remained of Scarlett Hawthorne was rotting away in a 6x4 ft cell. Scarlett had plenty of time to think about what she has done and how it effected her outcome. But that never changed her mind about who she was and what she wanted.

A correctional officer came over to her cell.
"You got mail, Turner." he said as he handed it over to Scarlett. She used a fake last name, so that there would be no record of her in the past. She already screwed up enough as it is. No more needed.
Scarlett ran up to the cell and grabbed it like she has never seen mail. The letter was from  Correctional Board and it stated that she to be executed three days from now. Scarlett sank to the floor as she dropped the letter.

She had to come up with an exit out of the prison. But in maximum security there would be no way out and she would get killed trying something as brave as an escape. She sat starring at the wall. How do I escape?

NPC Militant

An older gentleman with jet black hair and dark grey eyes, style to smooth off to the side with the gang just a bit, made his way towards the Texan jail. There was going to be an execution in a few days. The man wished to see if this young person would be useful. Dressed in full military attire, including the medals that indicated high military clearance, the man approached the entrance to the building. Showing his creditial's and being ushered in he approached the corrections officers. "Show me to the prisoner whose execution is in three days. It is a matter of national security." Such words couldn't have created a faster reaction from the men inside. The young corrections officer who moments prior had delivered the young woman male sputtered before guiding the man towards her cell.

"You have a visitor Miss Turner." The corrections officer informed her with a banging of his knight stick upon her cell door.

The man with the dark hair and piercing eyes approached the young woman. Miss Turner they addressed her as. "Girl. You are the high risk prisoner that the government was told of? Ms. Turner?" He called out in a chilling yet powerful sounding voice. He looked at the guards. "Leave us." He commanded. They left and he looked at her. "So what did you do girl? Aside from killing?"

OOC: No, I don't mind.

BIC: Scarlett focused her attention on the banging of her cell and then a man who was dressed all military and important. Scarlett smirked at the man. His intentions might have been good, but she didn't care.

"Unless you know of a time traveling mutant, I suggest you piss off," said Scarlett.

She had nothing to lose anymore, her life was ultimately over. Angry at herself for letting something so small as her emotions slip away from her, she looked at the wall again.

"Who the hell are you anyway?"

NPC Militant ???

The man looked at her and as she spoke he headed over to the cameras on the wall. Reaching up he gripped the power cabel. With a rough jerk down he disabled their cameras. Moving to the door he opened it. "Anyone who enters will be shot for treason against the united states government. No one enters or leaves without my say so." He ordered. Shutting the door and slid the lock into place. As if the woman hadn't just told him in delicate words to go screw himself he walked over to her.

His stance and motions screamed danger as he walked over to her. "Now that wasn't a very nice thing to say to your way out of here. Tsk. Good thing I like my women mouthy and fiesty." He said with a smirk and teasing tone to her piss off comments. Blowing off her statement in its entirity. Walking closer and leaned against the wall right angled to her cell bars. "Do you want the answer the ants out there know or the one that if I tell you I have to kill you?" He asked with a sexy smile her way. "Who I am is your get out of jail alive pass. Whether you come willingly or not is entirely up to you." He said. Pulling out a cigarette and lit it with a lighter.

When the man entered her cell, she kept smirking. Times haven't really changed in a past as they have in a future. "You shouldn't be here, I extremely dangerous, you know." she said with sarcasm dripping on every word. Scarlett didn't know who he was or what he wanted from her, but she wasn't going to give him the satisfaction of seeing her panicking.

"Why don't we just skip all this bullshit and get straight down to you explaining who the fuck you are." said Scarlett annoyingly. "I am not in a mood for playing your games. If you haven't realized yet, I only have three days left before the state of Texas claim yet another person."

"You won't have to ask me twice about leaving this hell hole."

NPC Militant Agent Stormborne

The male smirked at her. "I happen to like 'em dangerous. Adds for quite the flavorful spice." He responded back to her. "You say dangerous and I say a prospective diamond in the rough." He said with a shrug. Moving closer to her and laughed at her. "I like your attitude Ms. Turner." He said as if she wasn't getting angry or annoyed. "Oh? If you insist on ruining my fun then I guess I really should skip the foreplay and get right down to the rest of it." He said with a shrug. A dark smile hit his lips as she said he wouldn't have to ask her twice.

She really hadn't realized by now that her timeclock was on hold and three days or not she would be coming with him. One way or another. Retrieval and halting of her execution was not an option on his agenda. "In that case Ms. Turner I suggest that you play along like a good dangerous ticking timebomb. You can call me Agent Stormborne. Head of several divisions and highest army militant outside our dear president." He moved quickly to close the space between them and held out some cuffs that looked high tech and made of strange materials and gizmos. "Then I'll ask it once. Come with me of your own free will. Agree to so so and  I'll explain more details on the way. As you already revealed you are from a different time and leaving you in the populaces hands is not an option. If you try anything funny I will incapacitate you. Do I make myself clear Ms. Turner? If so then allowme to put these on you and I'll release you of the chain and ball routine they have you held by." He spoke in a whisper in her ear.

He wasn't afraid of her. She was dangerous yet he loved to give the prey a chance to fight or struggle. She was enticing on more levels than just the job not that he would admit this. He had not yet put them on her. Giving her a chance to answer or try something interesting. He hoped this interesting firecracker did both actually.

OOC: You don't have to re-post the image of the militant. I have a picture of who he is.

BIC: Scarlett hated to answer anyone bellow her paid status. But now, she was only a prisoner. A property of state of Texas Correctional Division. Scarlett extended her hands to handcuffs. It was very degrading to Scarlett to have to take shit from other people. But she had no other choice, and she only had three day until they kill her. What was she to do? Where is she to go?

"Fine, but don't think I am going to play nice after I get out of here." said Scarlett. "Many mutants are going to suffer my wrath. Many." She needed to get back to her own time because she had unfinished business to take care of. A few dozen mutants to kill and establish her reputation solidly.

(ooc: some sites prefer it when using NPC. I hadn't seen any rules saying either way anywhere. I just didn't wish to mess up somehow. ^^I won't repost it anymore. thanks for letting me know ^^)

Agent Stormborne looked at this girl. She had fire. Drive. She was also a liability the government wanted retrieved or eliminated. Did he plan to follow through with the elimination part of that if retrieval failed? Nope. It went against his own plans. Against his greater ideals. Against plans for the future. The weapon X program had been decimated but he had plans that in the future would come to life. It would happen and so would other plans that needed to roll into place soon. Slipping on the special handcuffs. He quickly picked the primative shackle locks of her wrists and ankles. Pulling her close by the connecting part of the handcuffs. "I would be disappointed if you did Ms. Turner. There is no fun in that." He said with a dark smile. Pulling her along and out of the cell. "We're coming out. As of now you will hold a false execution. The prisoner known as Ms. Turner was successfully executed. She and I are leaving now as its no longer your jurisdiction." He called out with military formality.

Hearing yes sirs before he unlocked the room and pulled her out. "I was hoping you would say just those very words Ms Turner." He whispered. Keeping her close to him outside the hold on her handcuffs. "We have a ride waiting outside." He would take these off once they were in the the vehicle. Until now it was all just a game and act for the populace.

They walked out and Scarlett scoffed. "I get that all these cuffs are for a show, but c'mon do you really need the leg shackles?" asked Scarlett. Pulling her like a pet on a leash, Scarlett wanted to vomit at how low she was treated. But it was all part of the plan of the man she has never seen or knew well.

She didn't say anything further until she walked past the gates of the prison to the car which was waiting for them. The sun in her face was bright and she couldn't stand it. After such a long time locked up in one place, the outside world seemed like a fairy tale. "Whatever plans you've got, I hope they include my clothes, weapon and whole lot of mutants."

She waited to get into the car.

Agent Stormborne looked at her. "Its for appearances. Just keep walking like they aren't jimmied loose." He whispered against her ear. The links were snapped in half and the pulling along helped keep the frayed chains she had seemingly as one. Looking at her as they went out of the gates of the prison and over to the car. A driver opening it as he helped the young woman in. Agent Stormborne waited for the young woman to get into the car. "We'll buy you whatever outfits you desire Ms. Turner. Just get in the car. You're weapons in the trunk for now. There will be a whole lot of mutants in the grand scheme of things." He waited for her to get in so he could follow suit. The backside had seats facing each other.

She didn't trust this man. It was far too suspicious as to where they were taking her and what she was going to be doing. None of it made sense to Scarlett, but it was better then dying on a freaking table, having hundreds of people watching you getting injected with lethal dose of chemicals.

She got into the car and someone closed the door behind her. "Ok, so now would be the perfect time to explain who you really are and where we are going." said Scarlett. "Also, some decent food wouldn't hurt."

Agent Stormborne climbed in after her. Taking off her ankle shackles and holding what seemed to be a strange looking device in his lap. Holding it so she couldn't take it. When the door shut behind them he tapped the handcuffs. They fell off and shrank down to nothing more than the size of an MP3 player device. Taking it up and depositing it into his pocket. "I already told you that. I am Agent Stormborne. Secret Agent Stormborne. Where we are going is to a place with people just like you. As I said before the more you know the more likely it is I will have to kill you. You are far too pleasant on the eyes for that." He said with a smirk.


"I assume you have heard of the destroyed and ended Weapon X program run by the Canadian government?" He asked. "The MRD has connections in many locations. Including the united states government. I told you that you would get to destroy lots of mutants correct?" he smirked a bit. "Are you trying to ask me out on a dinner date? Very well then...I will make sure you are given whatever food you desire when we arrive. Now if  I have your full attention Ms. Turner, I need to warn you not to try to escape."

"OK, pal!" she sighted with disappointment. "I am not looking for anything to do with Weapon X project, I am looking for  way out. A way that will get me back to my date and time." said Scarlett as he threatened her. "Unless you are ready to put a bullet in my head, I suggest you stop trying to intimidate me. I am not one for that kind of treatment."

Her shackles and cuffs fell off her hand and she rubbed her wrists from soreness. "The project X, was successful with Logan's transformation. But what does it have to do with me getting a time traveler. If you are planning on starting up that program...well, let's just say you are way over your head."

"The only escape I am planning is back to my own time."

Agent Stormborne just watched her with a mixture of amusement and boredom. Amused by her reaction and the illogical irrationality she had when he clearly threatened her about trying to escape. A dark and sadistic smile hit his lips as he moved to push a strand of her hair back behind her shoulders. The action was a ploy because a second later he moved his hand to aiming to backhand her roughly. "A bullet? Please. You are a woman out of your own place in time. Of course it was successful as was others. It was also destroyed thanks to that same success. No my dear. We aren't planning to create more Logans. We already have all the data from that program. There is a new one in affect that will create weapons designed to destroy mutants in the future. Not the near one but the future." He said coldly. Leaning back fully as he crossed his arms a bit. "You want to get back to the future? I can help you do that. One of our machines is a prototype for this. Its inconclusive. Powered by time travel physics and an unstable deteriorating mutant clone that was a remnant of the Weapon X program. Its name is unimportant as its almost dead anyways. A failure project." His eyes looked at her almost mockingly.

"Theoritically since you are not of this time yet your child self is...should you die as your older self there is a possibility as long as the younger you lives to grow up you will still grow up to live in your own time. A paradox states however that dying in the past could prevent your existing in the future or present. Its a catch 22. Its possible you dying here just ends you here. What risk are you willing to take to get home? You better pray another timejumper mutant shows otherwise your options are limited." She kept mentioning a time travel mutant and killing one after the other. It was so hard not to tease her that she was secretly a mutant lover. "Are you done jumping to conclusions ms turner and ready to hear me out more? You wanted to kill mutants right? Then be a good girl and stop acting like a fiery redhead before I make you wish you had stayed in your own time." his tone cold and merciless.

OOC: I don't know if you are aware, but Scarlett is a grown woman.
BIC: Scarlett listened to  the man. He had many good points and some she hated to think about. She still had no clue where it was they were going. But whatever it was, Scarlett would not be just a pawn in a game, she was some important figure, because otherwise why save her from death row?

The car turned and Scarlett looked around. She didn't recognize any of the places. She still would have been a child and wouldn't have memorized all the streets yet. She was taking on a big risk. Hopefully, whatever it was she was doing, would help her. If not, she would be stuck in the past forever. There would be no more happy endings for her and she could spend her entire life searching for a time traveling mutant. They were a rarity in this world and there weren't that many of them around. But if Scarlett did get trapped in the past with her younger self, she would flip an entire city if she had to, but she would find a mutant regardless.

"I'll take any risk necessary to get back to my own time. Nothing will stop me," Scarlett was determined to get revenge by all means necessary. When the man spoke to her like a kid, she flipped.
"Do not treat me like a kid." she said. "Just tell me what I need to know to get out of here."

((ooc: Yes. with a ten year difference approximately between her and Agent Stormborne. That aside....he used the terms he has used...ie. "good girl."..on purpose with the intentions of being demeaning or belittling. He is aware she is a grown woman. very, very aware LOL he is quite attracted to her. :P))

The man across from her just crossed his leg over his other knee. Ignoring her looks as she had him needing the silence she gave him to recollect himself. Otherwise he would be very tempted to pin her down and stick a gun muzzle inside those pretty silken looking lips of hers. She was necessary but the government also liked to make sure nothing was out of place. Ms. Turner...was very, very out of place. Years out of place if you wanted to be technical. He looked at her as she fell silent. Thank heavens for small blessing. When she finally spoke he smirked a bit. "Then do not act like a child. You want to act insolent and irrational like a child then you will be treated as such. Which is clearly disappointing as you are quite well proportioned and filled out to be a child. As said before appealing on the eyes." He waved her protests off as honestly they were insignificant in the grand scheme of things. "I am glad that nothing will stop you. Now would you like to go through a drive through as we pass by it or would you rather wait til we arrive at our destination. I believe you should go for the drive thru option." He said with a sudden change of subject.

"Yeah, sure whatever." said Scarlett as she looked out the window only to see flashing city go by. There was nothing she wanted more then to go back to her own time and kill the bitch who left her behind. She would not hesitate again to kill her. And it wouldn't be just one bullet but five to make sure she would never be able to travel anywhere. Sighing, Scarlett looked at the agent and Stormborne wanton to say something but words never escaped her lips. "Sure, go through drive thru, whatever."

(ooc: did you have a set plan for getting Scarlett to the present day again?)

Agent Stormborne looked at her as she spoke. He wouldn't tell her many things. As the out place in time woman didn't need to know them. He needed to help her back to her time so she could play her role there. He would have years before he would have to interact with her again. If ever. It was slightly a shame. He thought to himself as he looked at the woman. Going through a drivethru he listened to the driver. "We're at Taco Bell. What do you want off the menu? If you say yeah sure whatever I'll decide you would much rather eat the cardboard the prison was feeding you." he said coldly and without care. He would to. He had done so to his own men before. Didn't want to make a decision? Fine. Eat the slop the grouchy cook is making.

OOC: I don't have any set plan yet, but I am thinking.

BIC: "I've lost my appetite now," said Scarlett, looking out the window. They have wasted a trip, but it wasn't Scarlett's problem. She didn't care. All she ever thought about was coming back to her time. Maybe Andrews would come and get her as a part of revenge act. Or maybe she would find a new mutant. Time altering was dangerous and Scarlett figure something was bound to happen which would require her to come back to the present so that effect don't become permanent.

ooc: This is a perfect way to tie her into her present day role as queen enemy and leader over the humans of M.R.D. I think...because I have a few ideas how we can tie her into the M.R.D. events going on in present day...more so than she already is lol Hinting at it in the post ^^

Agent Stormborne just ordered one of everything and several drinks for later. Rolling his eyes. "Now. Now. A future Queen of sorts...shouldn't starve herself. Especially when she is already naturally beautiful." He said in a veiled and almost devil may care sort of way. Winking at her as he leaned back. "You are too invaluable in the years to come to hand you over. So I guess you could say my organization and the sister organization of the M.R.D will be kidnapping you. As of right now the Texans are probably in complete confusion. The military has erased all files and documentation of Ms. Turner's crimes or existance. Stage one is completed. The Final stage is getting you home to your time. Stage two is in progress." He said with a smirk. Once all of the food was handed to the driver and set in the front passenger seat they headed towards the interstate highway...they were leaving texas behind.

OOC: But she is already an MRD agent? Why would she start over again?

BIC: "Queen of sorts?" asked Scarlett as she watched the food being passed through the window. The intoxicating smells of unhealthiness was just too much to stand and Scarlett grabbed a burrito an a soda before Stormborne could finish pulling in the tray. "I don't know what your intentions are to do with me or my skills, but it's better damn be good. Because I am not doing anyone any service riding with your to Taco Bells and playing your games."



"How can stage two be in progress if we haven't even done anything?" she was just stating the facts and this man was making her extremely uncomfortable, and suspicious. She needed to lose this man, even if it meant taking off from him. Looking around, Scarlett surveyed her options.

(OOC: Not in the past she isn't an agent as she hasn't even hit puberty yet from what I remember of how she ended up Lost in the past. Right now Scarlett is technically a little girl whose parents just had their tragic car accident reversed. Adult her doesn't really exist right now. Your thread prior to this one had her trapped in the same time period as the tragic event in her history she went back to change and successfully did. Right now she is a little girl in this day and age. She isn't an MRD agent until she becomes older. In the past Ms. Turner is neither an agent nor anything more than Scarlett Hawthorne age whatever all grown up. If you go by technicalities then yes technically due to her being from the future of the period she went back to...she would aready be an MRD agent.

Logically though in this time period its only been a couple days or so since the accident that killed her parents involving the 18 wheeler never happened. So anything Agent Stormborne foreshadowingly says or initiates now is merely events of the alternate history that would start occuring that closely aligns with her original history where they died. All due to the fact that exploding 18 wheeler did not kill her parents. So even as they drive wherever Agent Stormbornes taking them...her parents are theoritically hugging their daughter and praying to the heavens after their close call. or at home in bed...you get the picture I hope. LOL since its your character that parts up to you. Just giving hypothetical examples. XD)

Agent Stormborne smirked a bit. Sipping at the cup of tea he was holding. Looking at her a bit. "My intentions are the same as your own. For one day you will be even stronger than you are now Ms. Turner. Leading the forementioned sister organization to my own. Known to mutants as...the M.R.D. That is all I can really tell you. The gypsy woman was a bit cryptic after all." he smirked a bit. "My primary intentions...are to help you vanish back to the future you came from...like the ghost you figuratively already are. This is neither your time nor place correct?" He said with a shrug. "I am merely making sure a future leader of M.R.D. gets home. Nothing more. Nothing less." He darkly smiled as she continued to say things.

Ignoring some of it as he looked at her. "I am taking you to the location with our prototype time travel machine. As well stage two really doesn't involve you now does it? It involves a family who are assocates of an old friend of mine...a little girl...and a future queen to M.R.D. divisions. That is all you need to know. Unless a mutant with time travel shows up all escaping from me will do is make your getting back to your time that much more difficult."

The car made really quick turns and suddenly the window tinting darkened and the car began to descend into a secret tunnel entrance that opened up. "We shall be arriving to our destination in a few hours. Eat. Drink. Relax. You want to go to the future or your present yes? Then relax beautiful Ms. Turner."

Queen of M.R.D? It made sense to Scarlett somewhat, but she was still confused about her role in all of this madness. Does she get to see her parents? Maybe she didn't want to be evil when she grew up. The future has yet to be written for her as far as murders go.

"M.R.D?" asked Scarlett, confused. She had so many burning questions now, but since they turned into a darkly lit tunnels, her heart began to skip with excitement. The history of a little girl was going to be rewritten. She sat back into her seat and relaxed a little. It was all coming to pieces now.

Agent Stormborne touched the side of his head and listened to a transmission from a device hidden inside the ear. "Affirmative. Stage one was a complete success. Status report? Uh huh." He said. Listening and smiled more as whatever the person on the other end was saying gave the man across from Scarlett a diabolically gleeful expression. "Good. Good. Make sure they are all made comfortable. Under no circumstances are you to lay a hand on priority one or the units that are associated with priority one. Am I clear? Failure to comply will result in eradication of the one to make the error." he moved his hand down as the woman finally spoke to him again. "How is your burrito?" He asked. Eating one of the burritos himself now. He enjoyed a good meal from taco bell now and then.

"Burrito is good. Haven't had one in a long time." said Scarlett, remembering how long it was since she had one last. Too long. When the man answered the call, she wasn't fully listening but heard some of what was said.

Stage one complete. It was nothing she cared for. But now, it was time for her to go again. Priority one not to be touched? Someone was important enough for them to refer in such a secrecy. Hopefully, she would wait and find out.
