Kain stepped out of the washroom stall already fussing with his clothing, and scratching the back of his head in frustration. It was bothersome enough having to keep his wings out of sight all the time, but the dress of this world was awkward and uncomfortable. Staring into the mirror he felt as if he couldn't look more ridiculous.
As near as he could tell, it had been seven weeks since Azrielle had banished them to this foreign place. He had discussed it with Thatch, and they had agreed that they must still be in the same world, but in a different time. The strange things they saw in their first few hours here had been the largest clue that they must be in the future. What was strange however, was the fear and hatred for mutants they had encountered. Kain could not imagine what may have happened to change things...
Kain shook the thoughts from his head. he found it was best not to dwell on their predicament, but instead o try and simply carry on forward. He gave one last look in the mirror, before turning towards the door.
"You're sure this is how they dress in this time?" he asked.
