Just Being Alone - (PG)

Niko's body took the bolt, and he felt the shock resonate throughout his body. As the current subsided, Niko felt the tingle of Chaos' residual energy mix with his synergy. The result was Niko's body protruding various 'lighning rods' to arc the electrical current.

As he was charged up, Niko noticed a girl amist the falling MRD troops speeding towards the earth. She must've been a captive mutant!, he thought horrified. Gods, she's gonna die because of me!

Niko knew no one could reach her in time, but maybe Luka could catch her telekinetically. If he did, he'd be left open to attack. But what choice was there? "Maginca, get closer to Nightwisp and y'all catch THAT girl!" he yelled, pointing at the falling mutant. He prayed Luka heard him and Rachel would watch his back as he did what was needed.

Niko knew there was only enough residual for one continuous charge, and he meant to use it as a shield. "I'm going to get you to Chaos, but you NEED to shake it off!", he yelled to Ninja. He scooped up the groggy mutant, and activated Chaos' residual power.

With a small army between Eris and Syn, Niko prayed the charge would hold off long enough to zap a swathe through the ranks. The mutants needed to regroup and work with each other. Eris was the best chance to regroup with which allowed the stunned mutant to recover. Niko prayed to whichever deity was listening to assist in their survival today.

Electrical barrier crackling, Syn started his lightning charge through the MRD and to Eris.

Eris heard her name and quickly turned to see Syn with the fallen Mutant. She feels the Electrical barrier in her bones and she smirks as she shoots another M.R.D. in the back whilst he ran to get to Niko. ''Oh hell no! you ain't hurting 'em.'' She shoots a fireball at another, listening to the beautiful screams and she moved closer to the pair coming towards her. She runs and jumps on one of the troop's back, using it as a lift to a front flip. She shoots him as she lands and slides in between another's legs, shooting him as well. Gods when do they give up! She thought, annoyed.

Her heart raced with adrenaline and she finally reached Syn and the fallen Mutant. She spots a bench and looks around to see M.R.D troops coming towards them. ''Shit...Syn. Put him on the bench..'' She looks at the broken street lamps and looks above to see a long power line. Running a hand through her hair, she smirks. Linking herself to the power line and the street lamps, her finger tips sparked with electricity. She tilts her head to see a cable running from a truck to a large fuse box. Noting it's an M.R.D truck, probably calling for back up, she touches the cable. The fuse box explodes and as does the truck, fire rained upon them. ''No more. This is all that's left...Think we can do this, Syn?'' Eris asks with a smirk.

Luka nodded towards Syn and jumped up 30ft into the air thanks to his telekinesis. He grabbed the girl and smiled, she had looked liked their father a little. He stopped smiling when he saw a pile of electrified, smashed MRD trucks on the ground, which would kill them instantly. He gasped and tried to move the cars but his constant moving of all these heavy objects wore him out, thats when they stopped in mid air. She had made them stop, then she gently lowered them to the ground.

Logan had been jogging throw the park when he saw a group of people, looking around he decided to go over and say hi after all he would have to make friends some time. Jogging over and coming to a stop he looked around, "Hello everyone." He said trying to spot anyone he knew but failed.

Niko watched as Luka brought the girl down safely. Eris asked him if he thought they would be able to finish the M.R.D. troops finally. If it was one thing Niko knew, it was that the M.R.D. didn't stop. There was a lull in the fight, which would be a good time for the group to take off. As much as he loathed flats, he knew this organization was a damned force to be reckoned with. Even now, he heard the M.R.D. vans' sirens in the distance, signaling the next wave of troops. What the M.R.D. lacked in powers, it made up for in sheer numbers.

Niko was going to suggest splitting apart and attacking from different vantage points, when a jogger just casually stopped and greeted them all. He looked at Eris incredulously. Did you not just hear the freakin' war that went on here moments ago?!, he thought, stunned.

He noticed the face and realized it was the guy that he saw in the Alliance of Evil base. Niko recognized the guy, mainly because he thought he was hot. Stop that, Niko. Your in a fight, he chided himself, remembering his objective. Fight now, lust later.

"Hey bud, there's about to be an avalanche of crap comin' our way in a few minutes.", Niko said to the jogger. "I'd suggest you either power up or kick rocks, cuz this ain't gonna be good!" He looked back at the entrance ways, trying to determine which one the troops would start piling in from. He didn't know if the jogger had left or not, and Niko hoped he'd see him again.

Niko touched the 'Adam' band on his left arm, turning into an adamantium-skinned brute. With an stunned mutant and an innocent girl, there was no way to get out of this without a plan. Niko looked around and found a Park Map crumpled next to the trash. A year's worth of strategic training and being on the run for a while, a strategy was formed. After a few minutes, Niko closed his eyes and thought out loud.

"Chaos, take the Northwest by the 'Shakesphere Garden' and use it as cover. And wake the ninja dude up for round 2, cuz we'll need him on the Southwest on the 'Ramble Stone Arch'. Nightwisp, the 'Still Hunt' statue Southwest from here is perfect for you to stalk and TK people from a distance. People tend to pass by that jaguar, so you can use that to your advantage. Maginca, take the girl and defend the Turtle Pond from any stragglers. Scan minds often, and communicate to us if they have a plan. We'll be coming in fast if there's too many of them and our lines break. I'll cover the Northeast by the 'Obelisk'. We got a way out if we fail at least."

Niko looked up and saw the group staring at him. He wasn't anything to them, and Niko knew tensions were still high. Odds are they weren't going to follow along with his plan, but it was worth a shot. Without thinking of anything else to say, Niko bolted for the Obelisk, hoping the group would  make it out safely. Even if meant at the cost of himself.

Luka shrugged, trying not to listen to him. Luka faded into the scenery, along with the girl. As he made his way towards the pond. They could know where he was as the water parted from the small puddles around the pond.

He sat the girl down and wondered. Why did she look so similar? Thats when he felt it, his invisibility illusion wore off. He looked around and saw a man dressed in a fancy suit and slick back hair. He was obviously a higher soldier. He held up the pistol in his hand. Luka tried to mindrape him but whenever he entered his mind, he heard nothing but static. The man shot a familiar bullet, the neutralization bullet. Luka tried to push it away but he couldn't do it. "You fool. Im like you. Special. My power is unique. When you're around me... You can't use your powers." The man said with a sly smirk as Luka got shot with the bullet. For a second, he saw his mothers face, and then he blacked out, along with the girl.

Eris heard someone say hello and she stared at Niko with the same look. Dude...Can you not see the giant pile of flames at metal? What the fuck.. She thinks to herself and listens to her fellow Alliance of Evil member. ''I'd suggest power up, sweetheart. It'll give us a glimpse of what you're capable of.'' Smirking she looks at the jogger. ''Name's Chaos by the way but we'll have time to talk later. Later sweetcheeks.'' She winks and listens to Niko's instructions. Biting back a growl as Niko tells her what to do, she nods slowly and sprints to the Northwest, dodging all of the debree. She didn't like being told what to do but in her mind, his plan seemed the best thing that got. Eris certainly didn't see any one sprouting up plans.

Spotting the Shakespeare garden, she slides across the floor not caring that she ripped her jeans. Kneeling beside the 'Ninja dude', Eris shakes his shoulder. ''Oi Ninja! Get up. We need ya.'' She growls out, looking over a piece of broken truck. Shooting an troop in the leg, he falls and gets dragged away by a team mate. Watching as a mutant gets shot, her hands set alight and her eyes spark with electricity. ''Syn! The guy with the girl...I'll just hurt them if i touch 'em! YA GOTTA DO SOMETHING!'' She shouts, her voice showing she is not a force to be reckoned. She had watched Niko run to the obelisk but there must be something he could do.

From the little disturbance at the park, to the full on collaboration to save a girl. The boy watched as mutants used there powers. Learning from there reactions he picked up some good counter measures if he ever needed them. Luka was a person who could talk to people in there minds. Thanks to the void, everything though or said was understood. Niko was a man who could use any metal as power. The army brat Just ran really fast. Eris was a girl who use electricity in many ways. The information collected he put into his gantlet so, he could go over it later. Along with a video of the who thing. Laughing in the inside he went back into the shadow to see what else would happen.
"This is a good day indeed." he said to himself.

Niko heard Eris shouting about the telekinetic. He looked back and saw him on the floor, and saw a man with slick hair towering over him. There was no way to hold the MRD back now. He yelled for the group to fall in, and ran back towards the puddle. There was only one way to get out of this and it would be the southern entrance where the fewest troops were coming from.

When everyone was close enough, he told Chaos to light a radius around them, so it would be harder for the troops to storm them. Turning to Nightwisp, he asked her to throw him high into the air with her Telekinesis. The plan was to make a huge splash and have Eris quickly send the electrical currents from the powerlines into the water and amp up their charge. Once that was done, he hoped she could send a burst outward to everything outside the fire circle.

Niko knew it could work, but he didn't know if he could save both the telekinetic boy AND the girl that fell from the plane. Although he knew it was a losing choice no matter the one he picked, he wanted to save the girl so she had no chance of returning to the M.R.D.. Niko promised he'd get Luka out if they made it out of this alive.

If they made it out alive.

Eris listened to Niko and held her hands up, a circle of fire surrounded the mutants. Watching as troops ran into the fire and fell down screaming in pain, Eris scoffed. ''Idiots.'' She mumbles and grabs a gun from one of the fallen. Shooting the ones that got close, she turns to Niko and then back again seeing another idiot run in the flame. Shooting at some more, she waiting for action to take place with the other mutants. Stamping her foot against the floor, Eris feels the electric currents everywhere and focuses on one of the troops that were on the other side of the fire.

After reading some medical books, she realized the Electrical conduction system of the heart allowed blood to pump around the body. Stopping that, she'd most likely kill someone however Eris hadn't tested it. It would most likely weaken her but practice makes perfect. Focusing on the troops heart, she could feel the electricity buzzing and working fast due to how fast his heart is racing. He was afraid. Her hand was stretched out and she squeezed causing the man to fall to his knees. Blood was running from Eris' nose and she stopped. His fellow troops surrounded him to help and Eris shot them all down.
