Chris heard her words, but was too focused on looking up and down the hallway to make sure no one stuck out to him or had a device on them for tracking, capturing and/or killing a mutant. While anything non-electrical would be impossible for him to be aware of if hidden beneath clothes, his combat training had taught him how to spot a concealed weapon. Everyone he saw was doctors and nurses and none of them stuck out more than they should have.
Despite his worry, he didn't hate Arabella for it. She had no way of knowing that the man she was speaking to meant to do her and Chris harm. He turned back to her and shook his head. "No, you're not stupid, Arabella. You didn't know about this... actually, I'm shocked he decided to come in person on this one, he must be desperate." He gently rested a hand on her shoulder, making sure to keep his hand on her clothing, in an effort to reassure her. The man's target was Chris - it always had been, and he'd use Arabella to get to him after seeing what she meant to him. So long as they stuck together, the MRD would be hard put to find them.
"Hey... we'll call Sean and see what's going on with him. Then I'm going after this guy and putting a stop to this for both of our sakes. For now, though, we need to go ahead and leave this hospital when we can-" He stopped, and his eyes focused on the bear. He'd picked up on a slight electronic signature inside of it that shouldn't have been there. His eyes narrowed and he leaned closer to it, feeling it stronger inside then scoffed. "Figures... electronic signature inside of it. The bear's most likely got a tracking bug in it. Just like him to want to track you to me."
