Chris could easily say that he was outnumbered and, with the Sentinel there, outgunned. He could handle the machine were it on its own and could handle the MRD and even the mutants with them if it were just them but having them all coming at once was like a nightmare he never thought would become a reality. Despite his strength, he knew he wouldn't be able to hold out forever against them, in fact, he wasn't sure where all of the power he was exhibiting was coming from and began to wonder if it he had always been capable of such feats and, if so, why was he only finding it out then and not sooner when it may have saved more lives?
He could stand and question it all night long, but the Sentinel didn't stop its advance on his position and Loika joined it. Even in his uncontrollable state, some part of him deep inside didn't want to attack his own kind. With her ability to regenerate, a fight with Loika could last until the end of time itself and wasn't worth expelling too much energy to do and, rather than outright strike her with a blast, he sought to incapacitate her. When the Sentinel went to the ground and began circling, Chris focused his power on Loika as he had done with Dorian, willing the electrical impulses in her mind to turn against her hopefully knocking her out so that he could focus on the Sentinel, though he still was unsure of the extent of her mutation and had no guarantee his plan would work.
The mutant didn't have time to answer Isaac nor did he have time to move out of the way of the attack from the Sentinel's claws. Their tore through his coat, shirt and skin with relative ease causing the man to scream in pain as blood flowed freely down his arm. He counted himself lucky that the attack hadn't taken off his arm outright and the fight seemed hopeless. In desperation, having seen the Sentinel shake off direct electrical attacks, he turned to the sky above him. As he fell from the pain, the lightning came down into his body, energizing him. While he could have used the almost limitless power of the skies and atmosphere above, he opted to, instead, put the Sentinel out of the equation and live to fight another day with more mutants on his side. Even a mutant as powerful as he wasn't invincible and his arm, chest, head, and ears hurt him more than any pain he'd endured in his lifetime.
Chris began to channel the lightning, rather than attacking in a powerful electrical blast that could devastate everyone and everything nearby, he opted to expand in a different way: turning the electricity into an electrically-charged magnetic pulse that would, hopefully, wreck havoc with the Sentinel - it was, after all, a man-made machine. With the lightning pouring down like a fountain from above, his shield raised once more, though smaller and brighter as it charged up until he finally stood to his feet, locking eyes with Isaac. "This is only the beginning." With that, he expelled the pulse outwardly, engulfing the lawn, mansion and nearby wooded area for several kilometers.
