Jake sat in one of the common rooms on the main floor of the school. He was going to sign back up for the xmen under the stipulation that he could continue to live in his own place. He wasn't going to make it alone anymore. 

With most of the students gone he could drink in the school and no one would tell him he couldn't. He sat in a thickly padded chair in one of the common rooms drinking a Heineken with Jax at his side. He appeared deep in thought. If they were all going to die they should blow off steam first.

Ari lugged her cello out of she and chris's room. She was looking for somewhere quiet to play and loose herself when she noticed her old roomate. She hesitated. He hadnt noticed her. She could easily go find somewhere else. She couldnt bring herself to do it though. He looked pitiful. 

She came in and sat down and sat her cello case on the floor. She chewed her lip and rubbed her belly. She was trying to find something wise to say. Some way to comfort him. She didnt even know what was wrong. "Hey jake....you um....you okay?"

Alec came in from the stables smelling of horses and sweat. He was grinning smugly at a joke only he seemed to know. He could take a shower but he would need his shower buddy for that. He was a supporter of the buddy system. He hummed to himself in the big empty house. 

He stopped when he heard voices. One of them sounded like his sister. He poked his head in the room and found ari with jake. He sauntered in and took a Heineken from the case. "A party and i wasn't invited? For shame jake, for shame. You better have brought enough for the rest of the class."

Jake patted jax's head and smiled at Ari. He was slowly getting over natilee's death. Someday he was going to have to talk to somebody about it. If they survived this hell. For now Arabella's growing belly would be a growing reminder of his pain. 

He ruffled the dog's ears. "I'm alright hells bells. It's just too quiet in here. It's giving me too much time to think about everything. I'm more worried about you. How are you and the little peanut doing?"


He chuckled at her brother. He waved welcomingly to the beers. There was more where that came from. "There's plenty man help yourself."

Ari rolled her eyes and looked longingly at the beers. She could kill for a decent guiness or a nicely aged whiskey. She sighed and rubbed her belly more. "Her nickname is jellybean, not peanut. Get it right ya ponce. Looks like i get to be the designated adult in charge tonight if you two are going to drink yourselves into oblivion." She playfully nudged her brother when he sat with her. "Wheres your arm candy?"

Delphi walked downstairs from the library she had some paper scraps in her hair since she was playing with her paper cranes as she read her leather bound copy of Alice in Wonderland, she was extremely stressed out her lately, she'd been having terrible nightmares about car crashes and the fact that she hadn't heard from Dorian in months it had been stressing her out so when she saw all her friends when she walked into the first floor she was relieved , she needed to relax.

She gave a small wave and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. She looked at the alcohol and then at the group, "Mind if I join?" The blonde asked, Delphi had never drank before she wasn't the party type but she could try it she wasn't a chicken.

Jake smiled at the petite blonde. He found her incredibly attractive and he didnt say that just because he was a very sexually active young man. He really wanted to get to know her. After thana and natilee however his pride had taken a huge blow. 

He held out a beer for her. "Welcome to the party. Have a few there is enough since hells bells cant drink." He winked at her. "Be a good girl I'll let you sit on my lap. You don't know what you get to do if you're a bad girl."

Delphi was blushing red she really liked Jake, he made her feel funny, a feeling she never felt for anyone in 17 years of her life this whole time sje thought she didn't have any sexual attraction but.... She was wrong.A few drinks wouldn't hurt her right? It was innocent. So she took the beer Jake offered her in her dainty hand and opened and took a swig..... She did not like beer..... And her face made that obvious, it was all squished up like she just had to take some cough syrup. But if this was the stuff good times were made of then she might as well try a little harder and act like she liked it.

Alec chuckled at the way jake played with the little blonde girl. As a fellow man even if he was gay he knew what he was doing. He didn't blame him either. Even he could appreciate that the girl was adorable. He deserved a little happiness. He casually rubbed the stubble on his face. "Your side doin any better? And whats the celebrating all about? I swear you better not be pregnant."

He smirked at his sister. "Hes around here somewhere recovering."

Ari giggled at the face delphi made at the drink. "Easy there del. You get used to the taste trust me. You start to like it after a while. Have one for me...or two." She leaned up against her brother. "Thats very elusive brother but ill let it go for now. We must talk later." She looked at jake curiously as well. She too was curious about alot of things. 

Jake gently pulled delphi onto his lap and rubbed her back. "Easy there slugger. Take it easy on the beer huh? We don't want you getting sick or anything. Can't start bombing beers until you have been drinking a while. Besides, we don't want you passing out before we do shots of patron. " He winked at her and took a long, slow drink from his Heineken. He put the empty bottle in the case and took out a new He nodded to the others. "If this is a party we need music, anyone have thier ipod handy? I found an ihome in here we just need the tunes."

Delphi felt a bit out of place, Everyone here seemed very experienced in the art of drinking. She took Jake's advice and slowed herself with her beer taking smaller sips "Sorry... I've never done this before" She signed and formed the words with her lips, a smile lingering on them. She wasn't used to all of this attention. everyone was looking at her an Jake was....Flirting with her.... She wasn't sure about any of this, any of her feelings. When Jake asked for music she debated on giving him her iPod not wanting him to judge her for her taste in music, she liked Vampire weekend and Florence and the Machine, Jake seemed like he was into the oppisite and that went for everyone else as well.... She also had a soft spy for one direction But shed never admit that.

Ari frowned at her brother and sat up. She ruffled his hair playfully. "Alright help me up. Jellybean is sitting on my bladder like it's a beanbag chair. Ill take the empties on my way to the bathroom." She struggled to stand up, she wasnt very big yet but it was still awkward for her to move. Once she was standing she collected the empties and took them to the kitchen to toss them out. 
She was with friends and still felt out of place. She couldnt drink and have a good time with them and she felt like a 3rd wheel with everyone. She wanted the time with them though. Who knew how long it would last. 

Chris had risen early that day, as he had been doing daily since escaping the MRD, and traveled far off on the grounds to a secluded place in the trees in which to work on his powers. He wanted desperately to figure out how to call down electricity from the atmosphere without having to be pushed emotionally and rather depending on focus instead. Despite trying hard and hard for hours each day, he'd not managed to do so and was tempted to give up. Still, he knew that his friends, brother, his new family, and other fellow mutants would one day soon depend on him and he didn't want to let them down. Chris was tired of letting people down and would not rest until he'd learned the secrets of his expanding powers and what he was capable of doing.

He had even wondered if it possible to travel through the electricity, melding himself with it as it would allow him to break into the MRD base with ease to spring his brother; despite his sights being high, he knew that it would take time in order to reach such a level of control. One of his first steps was calling it from the sky and he'd not even mastered that much yet and so, frustrations came to mind. Either way, he didn't give up on his endeavors for the sake of those around him and, after several hours on his own, he trekked back to the mansion and inside to find everyone gathered around in a common room drinking the sight of which made the young man shake his head.

"How nice to see our priorities are in check," he mused partly sarcastic but also partly serious as he crossed his arms standing in the archway. He didn't see how getting wasted was going to help their cause and it would likely be just what MRD needed to capture or kill them all if and when they were to strike. Chris had no intention of being less than focused for the coming storm. With most of the students and staff gone, there was never a more crucial time for control and focus.

Alec had a nice buzz going until captain buzzkill swaggered in making his flippant comment. "Remind me which of your priorities were in check when you knocked up my sister? My sister that you do not know where she is presently? I understand your concerns of security. The system is armed. The house is locked down. We have all been under stress and through hell. Let them have one night of fun chris. It may be all they get." He spoke calmly and when he was finished he held a beer out to his future brother in law. 

The mousey blonde put a hand to her mouth and gave a silent giggle when he pulled her onto his Lap, if this was a a few months ago she would've dropped to the ground and rolled away, she was starting to become comfortable here, this was becoming her family. 

She sat comfortably In Jake's  lap her legs trapped over his, she made sure to nit touch his side not wanting to cause him any pain however she did gently lean up against his chest. Was th I Delphi or the alcohol? hell if she knew!

Delphis made a little o shape with her mouth not expecting Jake to hold her tighter.... She did really like it though she felt safe there. She didn't know there was any conflict between Bella and Chris but Chris's words scared her. Howeverw she would always stand by Bella

Arabella tossed the empties out in the garbage and looked around for the petron. She found it easily on the counter. Thank goodness the school was mostly abandoned otherwise no one would have left it out in the open like this. She noted where it was and went to the bathroom for the millionth time today. How her body held so much liquid was beyond her. She felt some cramping but the book she had been reading said it was normal. 

When she came back from the bathroom she reached for the patron as well as some dip on the counter and chips. Trying to pick it all up at once caused the dip container lid to open. One wiff and her stomach turned. Her morning sickness had been doing better but there were still some things that made her queasy. She dropped the containers back down on the counter and rushed to the sink where she retched.

"I'd prefer us not to be constantly bringing up the past when nothing either of us will do can change it, Alec," he replied back though with a calm tone of his own, not so much trying to bite back or get angry but to state a fact and get it across that he was growing tired of Arabella's pregnancy constantly being thrown at him. "This mansion is practically defenseless when the people in it can't think clearly. Have your fun if you want, I don't plan on stopping any of you; I only wanted to point out something to think about that could, very well, end up saving your lives." As he spoke, his eyes moved from Alec to each of the other two in the room and, once finished he shrugged, uncrossing his arms then moved on down the hallway toward the kitchen where he felt the bio-electric output from Arabella.

Given the lack of students in the once-crowded halls, she was easy to locate as hers was the only signal being put out. It was how he was able to know where she was and how she was feeling without being with her. During his time off on the grounds, he'd often sit and focus on her just to make sure she was still at the Mansion and safe though if he ventured too far away, he'd not be able to feel her or Claire due to distance and interference from animals and other people between them. It was, as with a lot of his abilities, a work in progress.

Once in the kitchen, he stood just inside the door seeing her vomiting into the sink before moving over to her, resting a hand on her back softly while reaching for a towel nearby knowing that she would need it.

Ari felt his hand on her back and didn't have to turn her head to see who it was. She didnt have to use her powers either. She turned on the water to get rid of anything unpleasant and accepted the towel. "Its okay its normal im okay i promise. I smelled the onions in the dip and it didnt sit so well with me. Im fine. It hasnt been happening as much." 


She touched his hand when she accepted the towel. Her face dropped into an annoyed scowl as she wet the towel a little. She used it to wipe her mouth though it didnt much need it. She saw what happened in his mind. "You two fought again...." She the water off. "Believe it or not he likes you. If he didnt you would know. Dont be angry with them for wanting to let off some steam. After what we have all been through they need it. Morale is low. Im keeping an eye on them." She looked up at him like she was sad. She hated that her family was always fighting and she hated feeling like she dissapointed Chris. She bit her lip and rubbed her tummy as another cramp rolled through. 

Chis nodded affirmatively as she took the towel from his hand and assured him of what had happened though he had already assumed that something of that nature had been the case. "I know that it's normal, sweetie, that doesn't mean I don't get to be there for you when it happens." He smiled softly over at her reassuringly to allow her to know his motivations weren't out of worry but rather affection and simply wanting her to know he was there if she needed him.

The mutant felt her power affect him and, admittedly, had been shielding his mind with electrical interferences by crossing memories and thoughts with one another. After all, the brain was nothing more than an electrical machine and he could control his machine well enough to prevent unwanted mental invasions though his being with Ari was an exception to how he normally protected his thoughts. "I wouldn't really call it a fight, just two remarks. I know how Alec feels about me and I am the same in return. Other than Seth, he's my only other brother, but I can't agree with this." He sighed softly, turning to lean his back against the counter, crossing his arms as he continued to speak his mind. Arabella was one of the only people he could confide in entirely and he trusted her to keep watch on them, but didn't want the possibility of loss of life to be on her hands as it was on his.

"You and I were in that detention center together. You heard they're planning our destruction and you saw how far they are willing to go," he reminded, "with that in mind, allowing them to get drunk and party will be like offering them to Isaac Petkov on a silver platter. The man is ruthless... we have no staff here and the students are gone. It's just us and someone has to focus on the threat at hand. We can't cut loose, Ari. It's too soon and too dangerous."

She rolled her eyes and got a glass of water to gey rid of the taste in her mouth. "Still cant be pleasant to see or hear me doing it. Thats all im saying."


She turned to face him. Her belly was slowly getting bigger every day. She was still months away from delivering but it was still a ticking time bomb for her. She was about the size of a larger cantelope cut in half. Not huge but big enough that her body was letting her know its complaints already. 


She graduated from rubbing her belly with the tips of her fingers to using her whole palm. She couldnt help touching her belly so much lately. It felt soothing to her and to Claire when she could pick up on jellybean's moods. She frowned at chris though. His memory felt off but she wasnt going to push it tonight. 


She was wearing a a pair of her PINK pants and one of his shirts and zip up hoodies. She could still kinda wear her pants but none of her shirts seemed long enough. She hadnt been able to go to a store. She held her belly and hopped up backwards on the counter. She then moved chris between her dangling legs and starte  to rub his back and shoulders. She didnt speak for a while until he was done. " I know christobel. I was there." She hadnt used his afdectionate nickname in a long time. "Remember...you and Alec are the only soldiers here. You are thinking like a soldier. Im not saying thats a bad thing but i just want you to think of it from the remaining people's sides. Most of these kids have never experienced war and terror like you. This is all new to them. They are trying but you cant push them like soldiers. You push them and they wont have it in them when the shit really hits the fan. Jake, delphi, and colt. They are civilians in this mess. They are getting there but you gotta give a little to get a little. Besides....if they die tomorrow, if any of us die tomorrow. Wouldnt it be nice to know thier last moments were fun with friends? Besides...you forget jj is precog. She will see an attack before it happens. Let off some steam tonight?" She stopped rubbing his back and hugged him from behind. "Im done with my soapbox. That was all just my opinion."

Alec scowled at chris' back when he walked away. He didn't like being disrespected by the kid. To him Chris was a kid. One he wouldn't tolerate mouthing off to him. Unfortunately Alec had a bad temper and with a few drinks in him it only got worse. 

He drained the last of his beer in gis hand and went into the kitchen. His nose wrinkled at the smell of vomit and he dropped his empty bottle into the trash. "Go figure. She's the one pukin and you still get the cuddles. Bloody hell it must be good to be king. Ari you need rest. Go to bed."

Jake was feeling pretty good. Great actually. Between the girl on his lap and the alcohol in his system he couldn't feel the pain in his side. One small detail he forgot was that alcohol thinned the blood in the body. He couldn't feel his side slowly bleeding. 

He was feeling affectionate. He moved Delphi's hair off of her neck and kissed her neck seductively. In his drunk state he felt around the back of her shirt for a zipper, not entirely thinking about what he was doing. "If you want me to stop and leave you alone i will." He said softly in her ear.
